kikilala, when is your EDD? i am thinking to do BW in my 37 or 38 weeks. Depend what dr said. Today is my 35 weeks. Found another plc in Orchard (building next to OG), cost $40. done by an Indian lady. She is good & fast. Shd be going there cos i have direct bus as compare to RW.

sharon: u gained 20kgs, dun worry..i m catching up, i have gained 18.5kgs...sob-sob.

While i reading thru, 1st time i know this fact, i.e. midwife will do VE for us ar? oh my, will they be very 'chor-lor'? i very scared of pain.
 
would like to ask for option.. usually how early in advance would u take ML before delivery... Originally my EDD is on 16th Aug, hence i have applied leave from 11th aug.. but my gynae says tt i might pop earlier (first week of aug)so dunno if i shld applied leave from first week of aug.....dunno hw accurate will my gynae's guess be....

sharon, some ppl say water retention is due to dehydration too. did u drink enough water?

last time my feet also swollen quite bad. this round not so bad *keeping fingers crossed*
 
Bubblymommy: I am also taking ML one week in advance of my EDD. U will be seeing gynae every week from now, rgt? perhaps, every week u monitor...
Still have time to bring forward your ML , if your company dun mind.

if u apply ML fr 11th aug...but u give birth on say 1st aug...then ur company will recalculate ur ML...consider start fr 1st aug

Wow seem like more mummies is giving birth. So excited...

Went for my checkup on Monday. At wk 35 days 5, baby is 2.5kg. Less than 3 wks baby put on 500g. Hubby was saying I ate too much durian... Hehehe...

I also suddenly gain weight recently.
I at first tot I stop at 10kg than suddenly b4 gg to see gynae, gain almost additional 2kgs.

Im gg for my BW and hair cut next Friday at pacific plaza.. next Friday my last day at work also.. I work half day till 12pm. Haha.. so happy. That time will be almost 38 weeks liao le.

wow, looks like some babies are gaining weight ard the 35-36 weeks. my baby was 1.75kg at 33 weeks plus. Will be visiting gynae this fri, see how.

Sharon, u tried sleeping with your legs elevated? may feel better. Also try massage, may help elevate some discomfort.

sbb, depends, some pple say bring pump to try to stimulate. But honestly i think 1st 2-3 days, not much milk. i brought and never use. also pack a ton of stuff like pyjamas etc and I ended up not using any of the stuff in the hospt bag. Wore the hospt gown throughout. This time, I am going in the hopst super light. haha...

drinking more or less water doesn't make the water retention go away. i've checked wif my gynae before. it has nothing to do with our diet also. when it comes, it comes. the numbness in both my hands also caused by water retention. nothing can be done. gynae said it'll go away after i give birth. sian....

anybody hv any idea where is the thread for the comfort bra bp? i've been looking for it but can't find it. it's by mum indulgence. think a few of u bought the nursing bra or sleeping bra frm her b4.

Nicole, after you and Cherrios's experience, I just realised that a show might not mean labour SOON. Okie, you monitor closely for more contractions.

Reira, if you are on epi already hor, the midwife can 'stir' all she wants and you got no feeling when she is doing the VE for you.
Hahaha...what ah wong told you is true. On the day of delivery, you dunno what is call shy!

Sharon, if your baby is engaged and you are dilating then got chance to be earlier.
Since our baby engaged, she will do the VE every checkup.
 
my baby also engaged when i went for my appt last fri but gynae said dun think will be early, shd be still close to EDD. think this fri he'll do VE & give me a better estimate when baby is coming out.

just finished packing my hospital bag. now onli left wif camera, toothbrush & toothpaste to be placed inside. oh ya, do we hv to bring our IC along?

oh, i jus called the SCBB today. going to meet them tomorrow to do the paperwork. they still thot i'm in wk 32. told them i'm going to wk 38 soon & they're shocked. haha!

Sharon, last fri when I was there, I was told ah wong went to deliver. My hb panic as he got a meeting to rush back to. Then who knows I go toilet to take the urine test and I haven't come out ah wong already back.

So I think its heng suay one.

Reira, its coming to 12mn already..so not likely its tonight!

donno why recently the queue is so long. for the first few visits, we only need to wait for the person inside to finish then can go in already (but thats weekend). for last visit, there were 4 infront of me (weekday)!! maybe because weekend needs to pay $10 more thats why? but when i check if got sat slot, the lady at counter said full le...

my next appointment is at 11am, next monday... i hope dont need to wait so long. =\

toothpaste they use colgate.. toothbrush those cheapo disposable type..

yes bah? if u are admitted for slight leakage.. then yes.. if burst like balloon.. most probably u will be in labor ward.. oberservationary area .. still can bathe.. but doubt u will do it... coz a few ppl sharing the area.. and it's gonna be messy..

my gynae all the while never do it.. more pro natural bah? (that's why she's giving me until tomorow morning then induced me if still no contractions) the onli time i did the check was when admitted in labour ward.. observation area last time.. i assume this time oso the same?

I think I got quite high treshold for pain (like I can take dripping melted wax on my hand). so BW is ok lah, can endure.

BW:
If you intend to do, then go a few days before delivering. the skin there will feel abit "raw" after the hot wax and pulling/striping. better give it a few days to rest.

this few day my baby keep moving inside, as i dun hv pop out belly button, always feel my usual belly button being pull down by her, anyone hv this fun experience so far? wonder wat is beneath our belly button.

when pris gave birth, i told hubby her edd only 5 days away from me. then he is not gan cheong at all. still bo chap bo chap. then the next day, gynae scares us by saying can give birth anytime from now. after that then he gan cheong! but luckily i havent pop since then haha. high chance for Zachary's birthday to be aug! yay~

oh i also dont talk much, just when i feel like it. i also told my hubby the same thing lor. then the only thing he will do is immediately kiss my tummy with the muack muack muack sound. lol but then if i got mad at him hor, he will come and talk to Zachary saying mommy is mad at him blah blah blah.

your last visit was week 33 and no visit between week 33 - 37!? From week 33 - 37, Zachary gained a total of 0.9kg leh. Your baby is big in the first place so should be ok bah.
