hi mashy,
at first, my parents want me to cater confinement food coz they don't want to cook. so
i went to order trial confinement food from newbaby before. The dishes not too bad but the soup and longan tea is lousy. Portion is ok but we have to wash all the containers...My parents find it a chore...so they now say they rather cook most of the meals for me...haha...actually wanted to try natal essentials but they don't deliver to my place. The other confinement caterer is chilli padi...their normal food is nice...but not sure about their confinement food.

i've banked with cordlife for my 1st one...now tinking whether to bank with stemcord for my 2nd one...spread the risk...anyone tinking of private cord blood banking?

lucky me! I'm delivering in TMC. Means i can tell my ILs not to come!
My cousin said they'll still come even if it means my hb has to be downstairs waiting. Imagine only 2 hrs and they've to squeeze it away from my hb. I hope they don't else i'll be very upset. I much rather not see them.

carefreelife, i brought 1 carters D1 pink and 1 pooh.. hmm.. havent use yet but the carters 1 is big.. can store lots of things than the pooh 1 can be use for short trip lor cos smaller. think also can be use for normal bag for going out cos is cute.. hee

mashy, for TMC i thk they let husband to stay for whole day no nit to follow visiting hrs..but for frens & relatives hv to follow

mashy, ya i went to TMC hospital last Sat..the lobby there super hot & crowded..Mt.A is much more quiet & peaceful

Sunshine, yes for shared room in TMC husband consider one of the visitor..means they can oli allow one more visitor to go still limits 2 visitors at a time.

Piggy, i'm gng to TMC i dropped by to visit my fren who jz given birth on Mon. Nit to do temp screening at the main entrance & give them ur IC# tat's all..after tat go into ward no nit to register at all..though they put a paper there oli 2 visitors at a time..but they nv enforce it like TMC.

jus in case u dunno maybe u can take this into consideration. for storin of blood cell if ur baby (touch wood) got blood disease /disorder they wun recommend u to use back the stem cell cos tt shows the cell is no gd. SO it more for sibling.. N if u donate to public cord bank n if ur child siblin need to use n it still available jus need to pay $2500.
Also, if u child only suffer from blood disease /disorder at older age the stem cell may not be sufficient to save his/her life.

Anyway, both are quite waterproof/resistant. Carters good for bringing out on longer outings, Pooh good for short trips on my own or even to use as a handbag, like Jacqueline said.
