BB, u say 3rd best pineapple tarts, then can share which are the 1st and 2nd ones? i looking for nice, not too sour and powdery pastry type...can't find leh...can share share where to buy. thanks.

Jeni, Yan's pineapple tart not too sour and powdery pastry type lor. The best one I tried n love it is from my BIL. He always ordered by cartons from his friend who used to be a chief at the hotel. Since good friend, he ordered cheaper than usual price. The pineapple is inside the pastry one (I usually dont like this type but it really taste fantastic). Last year my BIL collected the tarts on CNY Eve. Too late for me to give away. So I order from Yan which is also good. The second best is from my old neighbour who when I was a kid, I used to help her to make (playing with the dough more than help). She makes the traditional one with the harder pastry. Pastry smell n taste very good really hv the butter taste! Anyway, last yr I ordered samples from Prima, I paid $18, ate 3 pcs n I returned back to the boss. I told her I give you as a gift you enjoy your own tarts hor cos if I threw away will be so wasteful. So must sample first before you buy lot lot.
 
har, but i think Yan no more liao leh..close order already...hai....very hard to find powdery melt in the mouth type....

how is the home's favorite type anyone??but more ex...

oh yes. My friend is also a dr and she has referred so many pp to him. Hahahaha. He said giving corporate rate. Should be the same discount bah. Looking forward to this Thursday.

Mine is what u describe lor. Very generous pineapple. It's home-based, so no brand or what. $24 for 50pcs.

If u wanna sample, try the Taka fair. There shd be one soon. Quite a lot of brands will set up their stores there & u can walk ard & try.

Home's Favourite has two types-one closed and open type.IMO,the closed ones r nicer..really melt in ur mouth type.slurp...

Ooh .. i made a mistake! The kindy i wanted to put Ovann in is Nafa Arts kindergarten, not Nanyang kindy. Phew!!! Luckily it's not the same .. haha .. cos like wat u said, today's q is for 2013 bbs .. wah lau, i almost kena heart attack.

But even though it's not the same, i'd better go check out the admission in case i missed it. Talk abt kiasuism

Chilli padi has very nice tarts too .. and i like it cos the size is small, and not too sweet oso. I remembered last yr they set up stalls at some of the shopping ctrs so those interested may want to try.

No la.. I'm a vegetarian and my hubby. We got a boy in the end.
They said to determine your bb gender, its your hubby sperm. The X Y something like this.
My sister in law also vegetarian but get all boys leh. My another sister in law, non vege got a girl.

But her hubby (ex wife) got 2 girls liao le.
And this one 3rd girl. So he ren ming. Said he got only girl in his life.

Yr fren's kid is still in the waiting list now or already gotten a place? How long has she been in the waitin list?

Ya, i checked out the fees $1950 for am session, $1800 for pm session. And havne't include other misc items like reg fee, attire fee, deposit and whatnots. But becos the curriculum is good as it has included arts, dance and music so dun need to go for extra courses for those. Think hubby's gonna be stressed ... hahaa ..

she told me she waitlist last year lah but i did not bother to ask her how long she wait...but sometimes I did see pix of her kid with drawings.

hahah yes their pineapple ball r big but nice la.. my HB v picky abt pineapple tarts also say nice n the crust melt in the mouth n the filling is v full.. actally i no fan of pineapple tarts i like the pastry more loL~ i always told my HB i eat the crust he eat the filling

Kindermusik is at Tanglin Mall. Can't rem the exact price.. something like $299 for 8 sessions, plus $50 registration fee (lifetime) & $63.50 for the home kit which has CD, book, shaker etc.

Basically the class is very movement & music-based. There's a lot of singing songs, walking/running to the music, beating on drums, playing with egg shakers etc. Best of all, no chairs or tables in the class so I don't have to worry that Sam'll kill himself haha

u may just do that, apply for pv since u are sahm. Hehehe. Nowadays even neghbourhood schools have popular ones and not popular ones. U from some branded pri sch right?

Today I just went to TMC to visit my gf. She has just given birth today.dated 11.1.11 ard 11pm. Carry the beautiful bb n got a feeling to go for no.2
Haha so funny. It bring out the motherly feel in me.

I saw my SIL's 1 mth old boy yesterday (their #3) and think he is sooo cute!! really miss the feeling of having a small baby around but NOPE not trying for #3 coz I want to focus on my 2 boys especially now education is sooo stressful :p

another piece of news from another fren of mine...his wife preggie via IVF and got TRIPLET!!! They already have a #1 in Primary 1 this year so he will have 4 kids in total... wow not only he stunned me too :p

It's true mah. yest Sam climbed onto MIL's sofa & the wooden armchair (it's the old-fashioned sofa with wooden frame & separate cushions). and STEPPED off the arm! Luckily FIL managed to catch him before he cracked open his head.

I really wonder if he'll survive long enough for me to collect my baby bonus from the govt!

Well, not every baby is the same right? I aws hear that from the mummies who have more than 1. Or maybe she lacks confidence.

I know Sam is one thin-skinned fellow. He'll not say anything that he isn't confident of. When he is confident, then he'll surprise me with the word. Altho his pronounciation sucks lah.

I think she's trying to say something but maybe you cannot understand her pronounciation? Sam's bird bird, bye bye, papa all sound the same haha.

When she starts talking, she'll be saying many words suddenly, talk non-stop, that you'll wish she'd shut up hahaha
 
oh shayna says mama, papa (but randomly, ask her to call her papa and she says mama), bo, mai (english dont pick up, go pick up hokkien.. hai), tek (tek for taxi) and latest word is nana (what we call her)..occasionally surprise us with "ok" etc.. but she says it when she wants too only..

smurfy, maybe #2 knows but just dontwant to say, like shayna..

jul, i think my heart cannot take it if i see sam jump off the chair too!

im a super pineapple tart fan.. i prefer the open kind de (hb prefer conceal kind)... anytime of the yr, i will juz buy a bottle or 2 n eat shuang! but ya, norm juz randomly buy, din really like shortlist which is fav brand or wat. juz to satisfy eating crave..not so much for the taste. (but some really cant make it lar!) i used to like the tarts frm a nonya bakery ard bt timah area, but duno if still there or not. my sis used to make one of the yrs, darn power oso!! the tart so soft, buttery & milky... droooooooolz~

i read frm other threads..recently alot of ppl go for this implantation tingy.. n strike quadroplets... but sadly, hfta take away 2 feotus cos will posses risk n no room or smting!!
