not true leh. Mine has the chain, very strong wind. The important thing is the motor inside. If yours no wind, call the pp up to change the motor. After that will be strong. My acrylic one is better than my room wooden ones. Metal will rust after a while. My living room one also has remote control. Some say remote control spoil easily. My fil's already spoilt. Mine is still ok coz I fix in one place then won't drop.

It's not mine but both my cousin's and my uncle's ceiling fan with the chain has no wind de. All of us always got very pek chek when we gather at their house during cny .. haha .. Maybe becos it's wooden one.

Mine is the metal type, been using for abt 8 yrs ... so far i think only rust abit on the side cos my pt maid used a wet cloth to wipe it. Shld just use a damp cloth to wipe, follow by a dry cloth.

i remember u mentioning abt putting ovann in some classes & tat he's also an active boy. may i know where is he studying now? i was thinkin of putting ethan somewhere tat he can roam ard also. he simply hates sitting down in class now.

After delivery my menses become super irregular...is there any prob? Although I have no plans for #2....irregular means harder to get preggy?

Ovann's in GUG. We sit in a cirle when the teachers are teaching but of cos, ovann will sit for 45secs, go up to the teacher, make some comments and start to roam in the clas/climb onto chairs and tables/ make funny faces at the mirror and laughed at himself etc before i go & 'retrieve' him back to the circle. He only sits longer for things he is interested in. Ethan is like dat too?

I just started Sam on Kindermusik last Sun. He was the rascal of the class - walking & running ard while he was supposed to be listening the the teacher, taking other kids' balls coz the colour was nicer (to him), taking the teacher's ball, not wanting to give the egg shakers back, shouting & laughing in class, knocking over the other kids... Aiyoh, sibei throw face lor!

The gd thing is that he likes music & the class involves a lot of moving ard rather than sitting. And the teacher said it's fine to let him roam ard. Hopefully he'll improve with time.

But I signed up for the rest of the 6 sessions. See how it goes. Maybe I'll move on to those gym classes next. I dun really wanna attend too many classes. But I do intend to find some playgroup for him, but it's difficult to find good ones near MIL's place.

ethan is like sam. those super active kind. from birth till now. he simply can't keep still. the reason y i sent him to playgroup is to train him to sit still. but now i'm having 2nd thots. i was thinking since he likes to move so much, then may as well put him somewhere tat he can roam about. hopefully he can finally keep still one day. i really dunno how. whether to 'train' him to sit still now or to just go with the flow hoping one fine day he knows tat he's supposed to keep still in class. sigh.....

which GUG is ovann attending now? how's the fees like?

U can try those roam ard class like Kindermusik & Gymboree/MyGym classes. At least Ethan won't need to "sit".. Can "learn" as he moves

good to hear that sam is enjoying his classes. ethan hates it when it's time to sit down to listen to stories & singing & dancing. he's ok in the pre-nursery class in church but not in playgroup. he loves to dance at home too! i really dunno wat to do with him.

Initially i had the same thots as u, whether to put ovann in structured class learning or those gym type since he loves to climb up & down and everywhere.

In the end i chose structured class type cos i figure he's already climbing everywhere at home, and to be honest, i dunno how to teach him. I want him to learn something from the class, let him get used to classroom environment so that (hopefully) he knows he shld be sitting around like the rest of the kids.

I'm putting him in weekday class, 2 times a week. The fees was abt $500+ after adding the refundable deposit & gst for a term of 8 weeks.

I'm the opposite .. dun quite like the new class now cos too many tots in a small class. Sometimes we dun even hv a place to sit after i went to 'retrieve' ovann from his roaming. The last lesson was abit chaotic and i think ovann finds it hard to 'concentrate' .. hahaa .. as if he can but ya, he was roaming the class more than usual and was pretty cranky.

suprising ryan class got 18mths,20mths baby
its really quite squeezy but teacher so much better so can bear with it

His teachers are Aze and Fairuz. Actually, i prefer his teachers at Suntec branch cos they are more lively. No offends to malays here (if there are any) and i'm not critising, just that maybe it's the accent and tone? There are times when i find that they can't catch the kids' attention leh.

Ya, current class we have 9 kids, not sure if the additional 3 were there for trial. The previous class we also have only 7, and the classroom was much spacious than at united sq.

For ovann's class, he and another boy look like the eldest. We have 1 kid who can't walk yet .. he's still crawling around

The pineapple tart is $22 for 50pcs. If you want, you can contact her through email to see if she still accept orders. I also order after she closed her BP.

I ordered from my aunt's long-time contact. been getting love letters & pineapple tarts from her for years! More than 2 decades! Gosh I feel so old..

But not cheap. $24 for 50pcs, $issit $17 or $16 for 25 pcs. But very nice! Not too sweet & there's plenty plenty of pineapple, with fibre, not the sticky sugar flour fake pineapple.
