yea lor. bcos dey sae obimin contain iron
so annt mix together. nw my calcium pill machiam put there for show. never take at all. onli take once. and the pill is so big.then slowly then i will start to take. hahas! previously all mmy vits never take. 4th months onwards then i slowly take. then nw left the calcium never take =x
 


Any mommies feel uncomfortable around belly button when standing sometimes? Now that baby growing bigger & moving upwards, I could feel she poking out my belly button & make it out of shape liao

Yesterday in the train standing, could feel a bit pain also on that area. It'll disappear after sitting or lying on bed. Anyone experience the same?

thanx for concern but my dh say i seem to b still havign slight fever and still sneezing on n off.. sigh.... feel very dry now prob due to the medication.. drink so much water liao bt no improvement sigh

i guess my appetite will remain like this manz.. not much craving.. which is a lucky thg haha
 
Oh no HBB, muz take more rest. Cont to drink more water & take more fruits & vege. I think u dun hav cravings now bcox u are not feeling well

HBB, pprincess , sorry, do you mean Calcium and Iron pills should not be taken together? How abt milk?

My nurse never tell me anything abt this.

It is quite tough if we get sick now. Docs can't give strong medication etc.

whn u take the iron pill.. cannot take any milk also.. must b 2 hours apart... (thi sis wat the pharmist told mi)
i supposed the iron pilln calcium pill cannot take together either

My discomfort is more of stretching pains. Think bb move from side to side, so which ever side she's at, I feel tugging and stretch sensation, especially so when I'm upright And she now likes to kick or something, so can see stomach suddenly move when she kicks =p

jus wanna check if anyone actually order tingkat meals to their house? for dinner? cos im thinking of ordering the meals as we're always back frm work arnd 6 plus to 7 plus n too tired to cook. always eating out.. den eat until i dono wad to eat anymore and somemore the amt of msg n oil they put in the food is not very gd for the bb too rite?

i tink the tingkat one they also repeat the food.. so if u dun mind i tink shld b ok lar but I will assume thr is msg and etc in the tingkat as well.

i agree eat outside food eat till sian lor.. dun even know wat to eat

Actually it's better to eat outside food. Reason being the tingkat food will be left cold by the time u reach home. They will usually be there between 3-5pm. I ordered tingkat for 2 weeks in Jan when i was feeling really down. Didn't like it at all.

then also bought a few other items... hahah

hubby see already want to faint say i only know how to shop hahah....

oh now am telling hubby... i save money by doing my own cot bumper and cot set.. :p hahah that is why got the extra to spend today. :p
 
Was down by the taka fair to grab the pigeon steriliser + food warmer + starter kit + 2 free bottles promo, they gave a free pack of pigeon wraps and mar motherhod mag on top of the package. Was keen to get the Philip Single electronic pump but hesitant cos not sure if it will work for me as pumps are like diapers, must trial and error. ANyone use it before?

Saving money on baby cot cos hb uncle giving us one..yeah.. Btw, where to get 2nd hand bb clothes? cant seem to find any thread on 2nd hand clothes for sale.

Some of the baby clothes selling on motherhood even thou is 1st hand is rather reasonably price.. U may want to check it out..

bao bao is rite, peanut. calcium n iron tablets can't go together...pharmacist told me that they will cancel the effect of each other...reduces each asborption rate i think...

weird hor...cos multivitamins also hv these 2 components together...

heard that there is another taka fair in aug...so for those who have missed this round for the taka dbs promo, maybe can try the nxt round...

anyone experiencing knee joint pain?wonder y it happens...almost wanted to start my jogging regime but now hv to think twice...when i walk for an hr, my feet also ache man...sian

do u all think that we shld buy long sleeve top n bottom for our newborn? cos i just saw a cute n sweet dress...tot of buyg that...but it does nt come w a long bottom...hmmm...any comments?

i tink it depends on wat environment u wan ur baby to sleep in.. if u wan to have an aircon environment.. then its better to have logn sleeve n pants cos not good to expose the limbs to coldness for too long and they dun covr blanket

if non aircon.. then mayb can dun wear long pants but i tink i will still let my girl wear cotton long pants jus in case..

if hot.. at most they sweat and get a bit of rash.. but if too cold they catch a cold.. and fall sick.. big problem!!!

i dun encourage aircon for babies.. cos it might lead to sinus problem in future as advise by the PD
then again its up to individual parents la

for the dress... U can buy the tights for her to wear.. then no need worry no long pants.. yet look pretty!
 
moo ur knee joint pain is prob due to the additonal weight on u ie the tummy.. dun jog lar.. else it will cause u further distress ont he joint leh.. go for swim instead.. it will lift the aches more

Went for my detailed scan on Monday, was v nervous during the scan, not coz of the gender, but was worried gynae might find sth wrong with the BB.

Lucky, all is fine! *phew* That is the greatest thing already... =)

I'm having a girl as well! Hurray!!

Wanted to deliver @ Gleneagles but the nurses recommended Mt. A instead, coz they said Gleneagles everything also charge... LOLz~

Any advice out there, mummies?

I'm ordering tingkat since found out pregnant. Like u, eat outside until dunno wat to eat everyday. My 1st caterer was Jessie Catering. Foods not oily & less MSG. Then decided to try a few more caterers before we settled down on 1. Tried 2 more caterers but both very lousy so we decided to use Jessie Catering back til now. So far, we dun feel thirsty after meal & at night. It's somehow better than eating outside.

ya!.. i've been eating at this foodcourt near to my place for like EVERYDAY. n now when i reach there i don feel like eating anything at all.. well, as for other places.. i'm rather lazy n tired to make a trip down to jus have dinner unless i need to go NTUC or sth..

Me n hubby also facing the same problem.. dont know wat to eat daily for our dinner.. Same foodcourt, same food everyday... haiz... I think mst go for the option of tingkat already.. food from tingkat if come in early we can microwave hot i guess..

MrsC, i oso went to buy the pigeon steriliser yest. So sad...could hav saved 10% worth the last wkend if i hav decided then. But it's ok lah. I checked with the sales person... They said next fair shd be in aug/sept...so no choice, got to buy nw unless got better deal elsewhere.

winnie_mummy, i've just decided on GE after it's delivery ward tour. Their environment feels better compare to M*. Delivery ward is much more spacious, cosy, and relax, comes with TV, hi-5 and a comfy couch for hubby. Level 5 maternity ward CRT TV and ceiling kinda old, but level 6 wards are all new, flat screen maybe 32" TV, all carpeted. No price diff between 5th and 6th floor. So is heng suai loh. During your stay, can join the FOC parent-crafting class which teaches you how to hold, bath and feed bb. Can op for confinement food with no extra charges. No complimentary carpark, but concession rate at $30 for 3 days 2 nites (can in-out-in-out).

Nevertheless, also need to consider abt the nurse service which I have no encounter with them. So no comment. This is the pull-back I had on GE. Only heard good comments on MA nurses.

In terms of package pricing, GE is 200+ more than MA for single bedded, think even more for double bedded.

I was also in dilemma on which hospital to stay. Things that I consider:
Best equipment facilities - KK and TMC.
Level of service - MA.
Environmental - GE.

Experience mummy, can render help on which hosp to delivery? What do you consider?

Im also thinking which hospital to go now.. initially decided on TMC but gynae somehow like encourage more to go MtA.. of coz he would prefer MtE if i dont mind to pay so much.... But i feel really not worth it to pay for Mt E as the stuff u get there is really all the same.. Service not exactly tat fantastic as I stayed there 1 night last year for a minor surgery..

I really thinking which is a better choice.. MtA or TMC.. a frend who gave birth last year said MtA is better, in terms of service and spaciousness.. Hope more mummies come up with more info soon..

Yan, TMC environment very good too, their single bedded is best, bigger and even more comfy. My 3 elder sisters delivered there (6 nephews and nieces). The biggest problem is carpark which my dh hates. Nurse considerably ok, I'm the kind who will observe the nurse attitude and response time when I was there accompanying my sisters for hours.

Another good point on TMC is that it specialize in delivery and woman.

My DH hates that carpark too!!! wahahahahaha.. thats why he oso sort of wanted me to go MtA but i see MtA like very big.. not as cosy... Tats why dilemma.. So Glen E u find good?? Coz gynae did suggest to me tat as well wen i commented that Mt E is so expensive.. Not worth jst paying for tat 2 nites stay.. of coz the surrounding environment like the garden is very nice lor but seriously we oredi so exhausted rite after birth where got energy to enjoy the garden and waterfall....parking at Glen E good??? I have nev been there b4 thou...
 
HBB, me too. I had my lesson at the HDB opp TMC yest. But i heard it's gg to be back at AMK next wk. Do u know exactly where it is in AMK?

I've delivered in GlenE for my #1 and will still be doing so for #2. I think i stayed at Level 5 the other time. Didn't know that there's another level. Overall stay was good. Nurses were actually very friendly and nice. However, there are some who are really young and inexperienced especially in breastfeeding. So sometimes feel a bit frustrated. One thing i was disappointed about is the lactation consultant. Throughout the stay, she didn't visit at all. I was totally clueless abt how to bf especially when I had emerg c-sect. Luckily there were some foreigner nurses who were more experienced and taught me how to. But overall, I'm still happy to stay there.

Regarding the parentcraft session, I'm not sure if u hv the time to go. For me, becos of c-sect, i couldn't get down the bed the 1st day. 2nd day still ok. But becos u will want to rest + all the visiting from friends & relatives + nurses coming to let u bf baby, i doubt there's time to attend. So end up, i went back to attend after discharge.

Hmmm... this time i shall made my request to stay in Level 6. Hopefully can get it.

agree that giving birth..already tired n in pain where will enjoy the greenery

i will love to stay at Mt A if i have a choice.

No, reg the tingkat, u cannot request for time, if not everyone will wanna request as late as possible. Why don't u try cooking 1 dish meal? U know, like using the thermal pots/slow cooker to make stews & set your rice cooker on timer?

ai yah, won't be doing anything 'special'. If i've a 3rd one, then it's def an accident, coz no more planning for a 3rd one alaready.
 
GE parking is fine. Maybe it's bcos business not as good as MA that why we never need to wait for a parking lot, or at least can follow the crowd, parked parallel in the carpark illegally. haha. BTW, my visit is always on Sat morning, the rest of the time, I'm not too sure.
 
HBB, which hospi did you choose?

"surrounding environment like the garden" where? GE, ME or MA? Have meh? Which level? GE and MA tour didn't bring us there.
 


BabyEthan, thanks for bringing up the attendance for parentcraft session. Ya, I overlook on that. If you attend after discharge, do they charge you for a fee?
