Yap 1st time ... he had been rejecting bottle but ok with latch on ever since we started to intro FM into his feeds ... so what my mum does is that she makes apple puree with milk and feed him so that at least he is still getting milk.

He is ok with solid and totally loves porridge, biscuit, bread etc

Last night was the 1st time he rejected latching and even when i feed him BM using syringe ... CRY like mad

Wonder if its teething so whenever i give him the teething tablet he will keep quiet and go back to zzzz

irene, my gal duno cranky las nite.. normalli i'l latch her to slp dan put her on bed.. but las nite, i latch her, she reject cum keep cryin.. nt her normal self.. but this mornin, she is okie wor.. luckily im on leave todae else i sure KO.. las nite bo bien, i put her slp in YL.. dan she manage to slp but wake up everi 2 hrly.. nt for milk.. juz keep cryin.. so scared tonite will happened agn..

Is it ?? b'cos frenz remind me not to take the medicine to stop the milk, as the cup size will reduce, so this is wat i thought. so sad, during bf time, i still bought 1 size up & now....

me too my breast bcome small as i took the medicine to stop the breastmilk..the most angry thing is even my acct manager(male) also noticed and go n tell my another colleague that my breast shrink!!! WTH! hahah...

donroxx, sis Kang from Mt. A? she wont pick up ur call 1, u must wait outside her office!! this is wat I do on the 2nd week after bb birth. bcos my breast engorged n many milk duct blocked..she help to clear my milk duct n teach me the correct way to latch on..i paid S$50+ tat time..
 
omg,my boobs are also shrinking too! i thought it was only me coz my other friend's one maintained her size! ..i realised when i cant wear my maternity bras anymore, its back to normal bras now...

anway, keenan is now very active and starting to say a few familiar weirds like papa, popo,mummum for food and nannan for milk. Asking him about lantern and clock and items on the ABC chart , he'll point to the correct ones too. Cant walk yet but can stand fm squatting position and stabalise for 10+ seconds. He tries to lunge forward but cant balance himself yet. Little rascal still wakes up for night feed....how i wish that can stop so i can get a night's sleep...

firm gel can use now? i scared the gel go to my milk so not using firm gel now.

re baby retching.. was there a lot of activity before eating? my boy will also vomit his food if he was moving around a lot before or during mealtime.
maybe check with doctor regarding allergy?

re breasts.. heard that strink back to pre-preggy size is normal. comparing pre-preggy n boobs after feeding baby, my boobs size almost same as pre preggy leh. hope it does not strink smaller than pre-preggy when i stop Bf-ing O_O

<font color="0077aa">Apr 09 moms hv seen me use Freshening brand alcohol wipes (70% Isopropyl Alcohol) 2 disinfect high-chairs &amp; table-tops b4 I put my boy in them. Actuali, I use A LOT of these coz itz veri effective to kill bacteria &amp; mold. I use them to clean new toys, wipe any work surfaces regularly, definitely on diaper-trays 2 b4 I put my bb on them… It also evaporates veri quickly so doesn't leave any residue or scent (unlike Dettol). Tho when u 1st open e wrap there is e alcohol smell (nt e drinking kind hor) BUT it dissipates fast. What I do is kp e kidz as far away as I kan when I'm using these wipes, dan clean oledi walk some distance away &amp; come back agn. Also, if I use it to clean anything dat made of fabric e.g. soft-toy, I leave e toy aside 2 dry for abt 15mins. More details available fr the links I've provided above. Alcohol wipes are also handy for spring-cleaning use 2. I use it 2 wipe any new utensil, wipe off mold on items kept in storage 2 long. Even toilet seats. But CANNOT use on any wooden furniture which is treated i.e. wood varnish kan come off...</font>

erm ... kidzkidz, hope you don't mind my advice but the wipes at 18c to 23c PER PIECE is seriously expensive and very much unnecessary in my opinion. All you need is a sanitizing spray which you can spray on anything you want, including your hands. Then just wipe down with your normal tissue or wet wipes. I have one small bottle and it has served me well for the longest of time.

Hi mummies, just to update, my boy finally take porridge, think that period he rejects porridge is because he's teething.

Now total he has 7 teeths and likes to bite people..

SH is now totally not taking milk from bottle and he decided to just self-wean himself from BM suddenly *sigh* REFUSE to latch on TOTALLY

So I am making cereal + FM for him and giving him FM with fruit just so that i can maintain his FM input. And he totally dun wan to drink water ... spoon feed him and he will blow bubble ... use straw and he just spit out the water.

Tried apple juice oso he refuse ... sianz ... so diff fr my #1

my boy have 6 teeth now, 3 on top, 3 below..

hav problem bringing him out for dinner..as he keeps making noise..probably bcos he sleeps very early..n these 2weeks seems very hard to put him to sleep..as he sleeps in the yaolan on weekday with my MIL.he will turn n sit on the yao lan which is so dangerous..will fight back if u try to turn him ard to sleep..sigh..

Last time my boy oso rub his eyes when eating half-way... because he is sleepy. So, now I will feed him after he wake up. Lately I change from threadfin to silmon fish. I heard that silmon has more nutrient than threadfin, and he enjoy eating.

Why don't you put him to sleep on baby cot or floor mattress. My boy loves to sleep on the mattress as he can 360 degrees turn &amp; sleep any pattern he want.
 
piggysg, i know he loves to sleep on mattress, these 2weeks i always put him to sleep on the bed 1st, then only transfer him to yaolan..yes, he likes to turn 360deg n put his leg on bolster o even on our body..but at this moment i still cannot let him co-sleep with us everyday, as it is so tiring..only weekends n one weekday he will co-sleep with us..
 
jo's mummy, it's the same for my girl! she can literally climb out of the yaolan now. So dangerous. I have told mil not to let her sleep in the yaolan as she may fall out.
 
Northvirgo, i also suggest to my MIL and DH i wan to buy a mattress to let him sleep on the floor and remove the yaolan..but MIL dunno how to put him to sleep on the mattress..u know lar, she too dependant on the yaolan..somemore my boy is very playful nowadays..if he saw someone pass by the room, he will cry for help, as he wans to go out crawl here n there, take this n tat..

heee.. we sleep on the bed, only he sleep on the floor mattress alone. He has the whole floor to sleep. We didn't let me to co-sleep with us, where got soooo many space for him.

same as your boy, he is now very KPO. He don't like to left alone in the babycot, he will scream &amp; cry. He also very vain.... like to smile when he saw his photos or look at the mirror. Sometimes, he even kiss himself at the mirror ... hahaha...

he so good boy ley, can sleep alone on the floor mattress..my boy likes to lean on us n he sometimes will wake up at nite n sit up..scared he will climb up the bed..so dare not put him on the floor..

Just dropping by and "looking" ard and found tat you all r toking abt letting babies sleeping on the floor. Just would like to share 1 bed wit u all tat i had bought 3 months ago. Not bad. u dnt really need 2 worry abt ur babies rolling out of the mattress. Below is a pic of my gal on the bed

That's an interesting bed. Where did you bought it from? BTW, you may want to place foam mat around it?? In case your baby climbs over at night? They are very mobile now..

When my son sleeps, he will rotate himself (in his sleep) all over the king size mattress that i share with him on the floor. Sometimes, he will even sit up or plonk himself onto a pillow in his sleep. Sometimes, i even find him lying next to me.

I bought it frm 1 of the furniture shop @ furniture mall. Yup, I placed foam mat ard it as my gal tend to crawl out when she's not sleeping. I got it abt $290 lor. A bit x lah but after i bought it, i find tat worth the $! my gal likes the bed a lot. Whenever I reach hm, she will wan me to put her on the bed then she will crawl ard her bed and play.
 
Step into Toddlerhood

Hi mummies just popping by to share that my little boy is finally toddling! Yes he started taking independent steps - walking all round the house since yesterday. Just had to share this..so happy i'm telling you! He was actually walking with us just holding one hand for 2 weeks but yesterday, he pushed our hand away and started walking all on his own!!

On the other hand, he stopped eating again! Teething season again. Now waiting for teeth number 9 and 10

I think jovan just didn't like salmon, just like his daddy. He is all cranky again, due to teething i guess. Saw his 3rd teeth emerging.
 
jacqueline - salmon is a bit strong the smell.. i also tried it b4 with Kirs... she took a few spoons then rejected it le... so for fish we only give threadfin for now...

Kirs has 6 teeth... 4 at the bottom and 2 on top... very sharp teeth...

prom - hellooo long time no see... hee... yeh very thrilling to see bb walkin on their own hor? lolx... whenever Kirs does it we clap clap for her... but she has moods... sometimes walk only... most of the time crawling... hee hee...

randomly read up on my previous archives at our march thread. and read about my own birthing story.. haha.. how touching it is when we are supporting one another here in the forum ,getting excited over each of us labouring..hehe HUGS TO ALL OF U!.

And we have come to 1 year of our MOTHERHOOD.
congrats to all moms!!

tristan's updates: 4 teeth. the 2 on top is still developing. hehe. praying hard he will not bite me.

breast: yes yes my boobs is no longer so firm and look huge to me. haha. actually i prefer back to pre-preg size.. will only start apply firming cream after BFing ends.

ok gd nights. tristan is flipping all over and SlP CRAWLING NOW OMG.

haha,tink our babies r too active. i always got 2 supervise my gal when she's in e bed. Caused there's once i 4gotten 2 supervised her. I walked out to the kitchen to dry out my clothes and I suddenly remembered tat she alone in the room on the bed. When I entered e rm, she had already climed up to my bed! Luckily I came in on time, if not dnt know wat would had happened!

Tat's fast 4 ur boy! my gal till now still have not have any teeth! Dnt know y she's so slow in her teething! But found out recently tat she's getting more cranky. maybe due to teething lor. as she just had fever last wk. hope her teeth will come out soon.
 
jo - i tink Kirs is super kan cheong spider type... so like me also si bei Kiasi! wahaha! =P

question - any of ur babies keep on blinking their eyes or doing anything with their eyes like squeezing shut n blinking or making funny eye expressions? not squinting though... Kirs seems to be doing it on n off... my colleague said to monitor and might be some neurological thingy... if still continue cn bring to PD to assess... just wondering if its a phase of some sort... hmmm...

sharlin - ya... nw she keeps on climbing up n down my mum's bed... my mum's bed is low so no problem la... lolx... but mine cannot becos mine is too high... hee... she cn hang frm it but not climb up...

haha, climb up and down. then u all must be very busy liao. at least she will go down properly. my gal always wan to use her head and drops down to her bed from my bed. Caused she knows below got her bed thus got support. I find tat ur gal is fast in all her developments!

my gal tends 2 blinked her eye. but she seems 2 be playing wit us lei. caused there's once when her daddy wan 2 carry her, she dnt wan, they she turned away n blinked her eyes. Or when she cried, she will blinked once etc.

my boi also likes to blink his eyes but just playing with us, he finds it funny..but we will say "NO" to him and if he continues, we will try to get his attention with other things..then he will stop..

my boi also likes to climb, he likes to hang himself in the playpen with his arms and his leg will step on the side of the playpen, trying to get out from the playpen..

nowadays he don like us to carry him, he wans to crawl on the floor n to the kitchen..when he hold on anything when standing, he will like riding a horse, pulling the handle of cabinet..
