Hi Everyone,
My boy is having fever after the first dose of flu jab. The fever came and went, up and down. At home 38.2, at KK Children Emergency was 37.6 so the doctor sent us home with fever meds. Now 38. So tired want to sleep but worried I might over sleep n miss giving him a sponge.

I mean survery done.. actually.. if u don't mind.. think your friend need to adjust the household income range.. a reference can be done from membership forms from the likes of Popular bookstore etc..

lenny - glad u are looking on the positive side of things...got other better things to do ya
donroxx - asura is right...babies like have a higher temperature..i was told that over 38deg than considered fever...below that still ok actually...a few days ago when i brought my boy for the last dose of 6-in-1, i was told to monitor temperature for the next two days...i felt my boy's temperature when he was like 37.8deg...quite hot...so i just gave him the medicine and sponge abit...i tink two days after fever gone le...this time round the last dose seems to be stronger cos fever like quite persistent...

My boy still refuses to drink milk and he doesn't like the oatmeal cereal later..we always have to force it down...i am thinking of bringing him to see another PD for opinion cos this is getting worrisome when he doesn't like to eat or drink...and he's already on the lower percentile of lightweight babies...

Would you be interested in joining a swimming trial by a personal instructor? It's FOC and will be at Admiral Country Club (opp Sembawang Mrt), she has proposed this Sun (4 Oct) at 5pm. Maximum is 6 babies & parents.

asura - the oatmeal cereal i'm offering to Baby K is the heathytimes oatmeal cereal...how to mix with the rice? can teach me? It'll be worth a try if he wants to eat...

I came to realize that Heinz White Rice Cereal (blue box) is off the shelves everywhere 2 wks ago
Last week,I just bought Healthy Times Brown rice cereal...but hv not open the pack yet.
The other Heinz rice cereal for 6mths bb is with Vanilla flavour, which I dun feel like giving to my girl at the moment. I prefer to give my girl no flavour rice cereal,as I am afraid that she will reject my BM.
Any mummies have other brand for plain rice cereal to recommend?

I am feeding my baby Earth's Best rice cereal.. they made their rice cereal from brown rice.. u might wanna give it a try..

Asura - thanks babe...i'll ask my mil to prepare the cereal that way for the afternoon feed...i still got some nestle samples from my PD...so will mix in with the oatmeal cereal
sorbet:: how heavy is your bb now? my girl is super light weight too lah!! 7months and only 6.5 kg!! i think nobody lighter than her already. small sized little baby.haha!! can try vanilla custard from Heinz? organic!
it's very yummy. my girl SUPER love it. healthy times and earth's best, I have tried too but seem like not as tasty.. that's why she doesn't really take.

vivien - u can try hipp organic rice cereal too...i went to brown rice paradise on sunday and the lady told me that other kinds of hipp organic cereals are OOS except the rice cereal...if i'm not wrong the rice cereal is plain one..u might want to check it out..

Thanks for your infor. He only got fever and no other symptoms.
We hope not to bring him to hospital if not serious lor, but now i am really thinking to bring him to do an X-ray to make sure his lungs is not infected.

sorbet:: haha heyhey!!! ya loh! we must meet more often ok when we move in. but yours is A and mine E, far apart.. ahhah but we can meet on the bridge! or I can go your hse watch fireworks! then no need to ballot! haha!! and weight wise, It's okay la. you and hubby maybe small sized nor. don't worry, they will catch up in weight de. else you can ask PD for those appetite increasing formulas.
You decided on contractor already? I really haven't sourced out anything yet cause hubby say really really definitely need to get key, go inside and see then we can plan wor.

Thanks for asking but my #1 having his own swimming lesson at 4pm ... now my weekends are so crazy with all the enrichment courses for my #1 and burning a HUGE hole in my pocket *faint*
Anyway advertisement time ... check out the story books ... v good for the babies now heehee

Ya lor, i actually intending to bring him to Mt A which is nearer to my mum's house tomorrow. But my mum want to bring him to TCM today first and see how.

cindy - Kyan taking Similac...but thats onli for the last feed at night...he's on BM for the rest of his feeds...
hmm i also in a dilemma...cos if wan to move to Duxton, we all have to move...my hubby, me, kyan + my in-laws...i know that my in-laws prefer staying there cos they love to go chinatown, especially my FIL who always go there during the weekends..one thing i wan to move to Duxton is a change of environment, but the thing is the apartment abit like too cramped if accomodate my in-laws too...but hubby don't think so lor...cos got one master bedroom, one room for kyan and than one room for his parents...
And moreover if we continue to stay in Sengkang it is nearer to my parents place at hougang too...easier to travel down over the weekends cos usually will be at my mum's place...In addition, i can't seem to rent out my Duxton flat should i wish to, unless i appeal to HDB lor...so thinking of doing so...then at least the expenses also can cut down cos additional income...

you know what? My dog's name is also Bobo but he's a SHIH TZU. My Bobo also quite old liao and has always been a little brother to me. I always tell my girl: "next time you cannot bully Uncle Bo k." hehe...
Asura, your travelling with Baby tips are so useful. You're indeed a travel Guru! I didn't know can make appointment to collect passport. If I didn't read this, I would have joined the long long queue at CIA for passport collection. THanks so much for sharing!

I notice that everytime we introduce new type of food, my bb will have green poopoo. Then after trying the same food for a few days, her poopoo will become yellow again.

sorbet, Trishelle is also on similac Haha but all feeds. I just stopped bfing her... Hoho. So dilemma hor, I want the extra income and and and and but, I also want the privacy. I want to live on our own Lor. But costs are gg to be so high. Hubby also say rent out first but what reason to give? Haha.... After waiting for so long, I really bu she de letting others live in it while I continue squeezing with in laws.

Is milk intake still very important to a 6.5Months old baby? My MIL wanted to eliminate the milk intake as she said, now the baby can takes more cereal, brown rice, fruit pruee etc.
Then, every 2-3 hours, she given the baby food instead of milk. And, she will come and tell me, Baby don't like milk already. The baby prefers the food prepared by her. When she feeds the baby, the baby will take an hour to finish 130ml of milk.
Anymore care to share the daily routine of your baby? I think I have to intervene what my MIL is doing as I think, feeding the baby at 2 hours may not be appropriate. I don;t want to have a overweight baby.
