I am from JanMTB thread.
If you ladies are looking for a nanny, you might want to consider me. I am hoping to earn some pocket money for myself. I am quitting my full time job to stay at home to take care of my baby. Reason being my mother in law threw the white towel and hubby request that I stay home to look after my baby. He oppose to the idea of putting my baby in infant care as he is afraid that baby will fall sick easily (zzz)
Experience: Handled my baby single handedly during my maternity leave and current from evening till morning. Good hygiene standard. Am fluent in both English and Chinese. Definitely loves babies!
I have a helper at home, thus I am able to provide washing service for your baby clothing (no soiled nappy though) and bottles.
Will only be able to take care of one more baby, thus ladies if you are interested please drop me a private pm. Salary is negotiable, about 600 per month. Ratio is 2 adult: 2 babies as my helper is also experience in taking care of infant. Staying in Bukit Panjang Area.

Just collected the sophie yesterday and my boy loves chewing on the ears. Haha.. But coz he can't hold on to the toy that well, often end up swinging it away. But it helps to stop him from chewing his fists.

Is my baby ready to start solids?
Your baby may be ready to start solids if she:
• can hold her head up
It's important that your baby is able to maintain a steady, upright position in order to take first foods from a spoon.
• sits well when supported
You may have to support her initially -- a highchair can be pulled into action a bit later when she's able to sit up all by herself.
• makes chewing motions
Your baby should be able to move food to the back of her mouth and swallow. As your baby learns to swallow efficiently you may notice her drooling decrease. At six months your baby may even have a tooth or two.
• has gained a healthy weight
Most babies are ready to eat semi-solids when they've doubled their birth weight, which may take place before or around their sixth month.
• displays curiosity about what you're eating.
Your baby begins eyeing your meals and reaches out to try foods travelling from plate to mouth
How should I begin to introduce a mixed diet?
Offer your baby her usual breast milk or formula. When she is nearly satisfied, give her about one or two teaspoons of dry cereal mixed with enough formula or breast milk to make a soupy solution. (The Department of Health recommends iron-enriched infant rice cereal as a starter food.) Give this to your baby on a soft rubber-tipped spoon once a day and then finish with her milk feed. This way, she won't be so hungry that she is too frustrated to try the new food, and not too full to be interested. It doesn't have to be the morning feed; pick a time that's convenient for both you and your baby.
At first, your baby will seem to eat very little, and it may take a while to get even that small amount into her. Do be patient with your little one and remember it may take a little time for her to learn these new skills.
When your baby is eating two to three tablespoons of cereal a day, try adding another food. As she begins to eat and develops more of a side-to-side grinding motion, add a little less liquid so the texture becomes thicker. This allows your baby to work on chewing (gumming) and swallowing.
Your baby's appetite will vary from one feed to the next, so watch for cues that she's full. A baby who refuses to open up for the next bite, turns away, or starts playing with her food is probably full.

I also have the Your Baby Can read DVD. By right, can start from 3mths onwards, I also not sure if it will affect his eyes or not, so haven let him watch yet. He just turned 3 mths old. But I've shown him the flash cards a few times liao.

my boy also likes to turn to the tv when daddy feeding him watching tv. I think its natural as BB tends to gravitate towards light & sound. But I've been nagging my hubby not to do that

hoho, you mean the after pumping, leave the pump in the fridge?
I'm doing that, I sterilised the pump at home, then bring to office. pump first round, i'll keep the pump in the fridge, then use for 2nd round. then go home wash then sterilise again.

I wanna get the usb stick one. I don't really want to have contract leh....coz by end of this year i might be out of job already so might not be able to use it anymore since i will be staying at home till i find another job. Thats why was thinking to get the prepaid one instead but add up per month will be expensive lor.

seems small size compare to some bbs here but he had double his wt. liao.
