Scanned thru the posts and it seems my gal is one of the small size ones. She is 3MO and weighs 5kg...Had her 2nd 6-in-1 at Kinder Clinic today, wah, very ex. Do you all give Rotavirus vac as well? Hubby said to get it as his colleague's bb had a bad case of stomach flu and had to be hospitalised.

we got hua xia to do the taimobi. Din wan to do it at first cos was thinking why on earth do we wan to store something organic??! We did it cos my MIL encouraged us to do it. We din choose the standard poem that they have. My hubby went to look for those chinese master in ChengHuangMiao in Shanghai to compose two lines which starts our boy's name and comes with the meaning of following after God's heart. That, we find it very meaning.

Fee: $30 nett (1 mummy &amp; 1 baby)

Location: Starflower's place ~ Caribbean Function Room (next to Vivocity)
Lunch arrangements: Will cater buffet like as Sassy's
After workshop, we can continue to eat, mingle and play w our babies

As a complimentary freebie for us, I've managed to get her to also give us:

Re introducing cereals (powder) to our babies, I just asked the PD this qn last Friday. He said the earliest is 4mths but best is to wait till 6mths when their digestion system is better.
 
idlecat - either i bought it frm WTS or someone emailed me when i posted on the WTB section for bumbo. heh heh. cn say quite heng la. =P

baby cubes - i bought 2 trays.... long ago.. i kiasi mummie! lol! bought em last yr =P hahaha! it was much cheaper as well... i paid like $21.74 for 2 trays plus reg mail =P
 
my menses reported today.. so sian.. and the flow is like a runnin tap since afternoon til now!! luckily at wrk stil okie. when i got home, had my bath. took a nap. woke up, stained my shorts -_-" jus nw went for dinner.. can feel quite heavy.. true enough.. stained my shorts -_-" luckily was wearing black shorts! argHxxxx
 
the cubes look quite strt forward leh.. my frn said she did a mass "production" she pureed the veggies/fruits, put into cubes and into the freezer.. heh heh heh... i plan to do that as well...

yes i think its best to wait til at least 4mths to start bb on solids... let the gut stabilize 1st... of cos best is to wait til 6mths... but i think baby K is very keen to start on solids... she keeps on licking her lips when we r eating and starin at our food. hurhurhur..

I am supposed to start work (end of 16 weeks!!) on Friday. But I have a halfday work-related workshop to attend on Wednesday and have an important meeting which I have to attend on Thursday afternoon. The bummer part is Thursday is my birthday and hubby has taken leave to spend the day with me! :S Anyways, this is just the start to the real gruelling work schedule once I step back into the office. *shudder*

Me menses also came early this month when I was in Penang but luckily the flow not super heavy.

Re the babycubes, how long can the puree be kept in the freezer to still stay fresh? I can also let it thaw by itself right?

I'm also starting to look at buying the Thermos shuttle chef for cooking baby's porridge hahahaa.
 
idlecat - no la. it depends de. but they did say price wld be goin up for the cubes last yr when i bought. and i thought wld be gd thing to buy lo. esp when bb starting to eat solids. so its really useful. =) or if u have frns in US cn ask them to buy lo. might be cheaper.
 
koala - same same. im lookin at the thermos but nt to cook porridge.. more of to bring out and be kept warm.. heh heh heh... im nt too sure hw long cn keep in freezer leh.. mus ask my frn.. i think shld be 1wk ba. in the beginning when feeding bb i think cn only start with 1-2teaspoons nia.. so will be alot left ovr... but the 1st thing to start with if im nt wrong is cereal or the brown rice ah... =)
 
im goin to sleep soon.. very tired... today 1st pt 8am.. end up i was late.. but my boss was later than me.. hahaha!!! heng ahhh! but also wasted la.. becos the pt vomitted and we cldnt change the trachy for the pt. -_-" so tmr goin in again at 8am... arghhhh ... after the USIM healthscreening.. then i will go and look for u all if i cn get off early... *cross fingers*

Does your baby move his/ her head when during feeding time (bottle feed)????? Coz ugin does that sometimes...
Oh hopefully his drinking part is back to normal .. My girlfriend taught me yo feel him when he is sleeping.. This way baby will drink more.. Intact I tried ugin drank 100ml then 45mins when he dozed off I pull out the pacifier then he cont to suck and finished abt 50ml hehehe... Then at 4hrs later he woke up drank 160ml hehehe made me so happy.. So hopefully the last few days of erractic intake will be ack yo normal again to 150ml.... So for later feeds I am trying my luck hehehe prepared the 150ml feed.. Crossing my fingers hehehe..?

Thanks for the detailed life span of frozen food.. Yup planning to self made too hahaha.. Bought the grinder cum warmer thingie to make purée... Hehehe bought the trays and containers too at mother works. Can't remember the price but they are having sale now.

Teether
COMBI look alike pacifier teether stage 1 is very good.. Well at least ugin likes biting on it. Saw starflower bought it.. Then bought it at mums and babes.. Tried on ugin.. He likes it.. For sophie he enjoys it too but the ears can poke his gums sometimes. Think will reserve till he is abit older.

Not sure if Keenan's ready for solids coz he's been waking up for that night feed since last wednesday...and like Kirsten, will stare at me when i eat hahaaa :p

mummies, nestle having fair from 26-28 June at marina square atrium...so if u all want to get nestle/gerber products can pop by...
price is abt the same as motherhood fair..its cheaper than NTUC (copy and paste from Jan mum)

Nowadays my girl always moves her head when I bottle feed her. Actually more like she keeps fidgeting and sometimes even tries to turn her body left &amp; right. Didnt used to be like that, only started in the recent 2 weeks.

Wow you mean they'll increase intake if we feel them when they're sleeping?

Yaya, my bb also do that ... turning her head left &amp; right like she dun wan the milk anymore. Not only that, nowsaday she has no patient lying down to have her milk, she keep raising her head like want to sit instead of lying.
By the way, i noticed she drank lesser this wk, from 150ml to 120ml only.

Same same, my girl also raise her head. I thought she being kapoh hahaha, so perhaps its normal for them to do that.

I've given pacifier to my baby since she was 4 weeks old cos MIL suggested giving. I find that she falls asleep more easily if I give it to her but of cos doesnt work all the time.

I also let her suck her thumb if she wants to. So I guess its up to individual preference ba?
