I understand how you feel.....bcos I'm going thru tat too! It's not tat he dun want to drink but he's taking forever to finish...will fuss at intervals so had to break feed! =(

dun give up ok? *sayang**sayang* I think our BBs now gg thru this phase of rejecting milk. My sister who has a 4yo boy, told me bbs now go thru this stage call the "milk strike". Imagine taking milk for 3 mths, u will oso be "sian" rt?! =p They will still take the milk when they are hungry. My boy oso seems like rejecting my BM, I just feed him what he can take. I realised if he dun drink much this feed, he will finish his next feed in 10mins FAST.

So dun give up ok?! =D

My boy cannot take cow's milk =( went to see PD today coz he has serious colic again. seems like he cant take his FM. Will be giving him goat's milk to try. Hope he can take it.
 
sung - sahm has its benefits too, u can spend more time with yr children and watch them grow up...i believe it would be a wonderful experience =)
 
Hello mummies... me kenna blocked ducts since last night. After pumping, the whole left side of the left breast is still very hard and lumpy. Milk won't come out no matter how hard I squeeze.

Now that I am back to work, dunno how. Got to take leave and then ask Mdm Rokiah come to my place or go Parentcraft? Sigh...
 
grace - ya sometimes my boi is taking forever to finish too...cry and scream dun wan to drink, don't know whats wrong with him

minnie - yes mayb its the milk strike....or a better taste of FM has spiked my boy's interest...frankly speaking i feel like giving up actually since my boy is like this for more than a month liao...

I guess my milk supply is dipping cos i onli managed to pump lesser than my usual and i don't feel engorgement. DOn't know whether its the case of my food poisoning episode or that i just feel sad, or whether its the medication....will my milk supply go up again? if not, probably it is fated that i will have to give up breastfeeding anyway..

Dun give up....my boy has been behaving like tat for the past few weeks.....as wat Minnie says, maybe it's really milk strike Or the behaviour of the month! Hopefully when he turns another month old (which is tmr) he'll change for the better!!! I'm not giving up just yet!!!! Let's press on together...CHEERS!!!!
 
lipstar, "hugs" maybe you can ask mdm rokiah to come your place after your work. Give her a call and check if its possible.

pinksorbet, maybe cos you are sick thats y ms drop. Just continue pumping and your supply shd go back up. cheer up gal!

talking to u mummies makes me feel much better...yup, i guess i'm not giving it up totally...i'll try and latch kyan tonight and see whether he takes to my breast...if have, all hope is not lost yet, he still wants mummy's breasts and bonding =)

dun give yourself too much stress k. my ms oso going down, pumping longer intervals but lesser milk. i hope it's just coz this period i'm feeling stressed. let's jia you k. hugs hugs!
 
re. bb feeding
my little boy is oso taking less and less milk nowadays, whether fm or bm. just started keeping track of his feeds yest, like almost half from before. used to be able to take 120-150ml, now is only 60-90ml per feed every 2-3hrs. hopes it's ok. got to chk his weight next pd check but still a month away. he seems contended though so really hoping like grace said is just behaviour of the month!
 
sung - same my boy also taking lesser milk this time, now 100ml over 3 hours when he is able to take 120ml to 140ml for 3hours...how old is yr boy? mine is 3months 6days...

From the posts over the past few days....we're definitely not alone!!! Let's just pray that they'll get over this phase soon.... =)

i oso wonder if it's teething coz he's drooling so much and oso sucking his hands alot but like you said, seems so early. oso i hv not spotted any white spots on his gums so hope not!
 
Sung, it's a joy to be a SAHM, i'm sure u will enjoy the daily bonding w baby and MS will definintely be sustained or even go up with baby around. With all the stress in the office, i can feel MS wavering, so definintely not good to be working in the first 6 months....

tink e low milk intake is a phase bbs go thru...like wat one mom shares...they r more aware of e surroundings, easily distracted...showing signs of teething in terms of gums hardening...

my boi today takes fm liao...2 times so far...morn/afternoon, so will observe...as compared to yesterday he cried n rejected fm...
as for bm, i on e opposite...feel like e ss dropping n wanting him to get on e habit of drinking fm using milk bottle...

For those moms fretting over bb rejecting frozen EBM, i don noe e real reason but i read frm Tracy Hogg's bb whisperer 'Solves all your problems'; she mentioned one part...mayb u all may wan to reconsider using past expressed bm...

"Some moms who pump like to 'stkpile' their bm in advance. Unless you r going into surgery and you physically won't be ard to feed your baby, don't pump more than an extra 3 days' worth. As your baby grows and changes, the content of your bm changes too...

Last mth's bm may not be suitable for this mth's bb!" (page 106/ Your bb's liquid diet)

This is very true...imagine eating over due frozen leftover food ... even w e fridge in good working condition, e taste is never as good as fresh ones...

My boi does not reject my breasts but im more keen to start him on eating in a consistent manner using bottle...e problem w breast feeding is i may make him become a 'snacker' n he will hav erratic eating habit as he grows older...when my ms not so high as b4...

E bk oso shares on e LT problems momz face when they refuse to wean their children off their breasts...e attachment grows stronger n harder to break e habit...

fm...see this as a frien to ur bb...esp those momz who r seriously considering to stop bf...

i look out for complete transactions n feedback frm those who received e goods...

don forget this is a high risk purchase...we rely totally on wat we see online...we do not know e organizer n e SMH is in no position able to authenticate how trustworthy e sale is conducted...

I have done 4 purchases in total n decide to stop for now...upon reflection...itz not very safe on e consumer's side...there will def b some black sheeps among them n spoil e entire shopping experience...

i ate until my belly was almost about to burst and yet i headed straight for my chilled bobo hitam (sp?) the moment i reached home.

unlike you i still have a tummy to lose leh. how, like that? hopefully the osim uzap can help. ket says it really does work. so happy to hear that. heheh

have to put a bb headband on her before she starts looking like a girl. Am going to start learning to mk hair accessories liao. just busted more money buying bb friendly lace for headbands. wow so many things on my to do list

to do list:

taggies blanket
bb headband
giraffe plush toy
scottish dog plush toy

think i will add tags to the plush toys. kill two birds w one stone

buy 2nd hand or borrow fr friends. my bb can't sit for long in the bumbo. ten min max. she gets bored easily. lotsa pp selling
 
oh oh and if zac has thunder thighs then most likely he won't like it :p

lucky me, my friend lent it to me as her bb got too fat to sit in it. lols
 
eh if my bb hair accessories turn out nice i will make more to sell, so as to finance the purchase of more fabrics! so that my hobby can be self-financed.

mine gets a bit irritated with sophie after a while, as you can see from the pic. think she has too many toys liao. =D

Guess what I actually wanted to go shop a well, but felt tired maybe eat too full le. But when I reach MRT station my gal refuse to go home! She say she want go shopping, end up I bring her walk 1 round at the basement at WISMA, and insist to go home after that. She slept all the way back to woodlands, my hands is numb after she sleep on, and have to carry her with 2 bags down the train is a test for me man, as I don't use to carry her when going out, her daddy job to be carrying her. Lucky I sms my hubby to pick us up at MRT station.
