Pumpkin Seed
ya, same thing happened to us... i guess my MIL also thinks that i am over protective over Oli... our friends just simply let their kids cry till they sleep in their playpens when they came over our place for BBQ last Sat... they must be wondering why am i always stuck to Oli... everybody over here said it's normal for babies to cry...

I was actually very happy to come back. The travelling took the wind out of me completely. We spent 21 hours in car, plane, transit and plane again. Feel so comfortable to be back on our own bed.

Oh and more on the Sophies, I found them for 10 euros at Auchan!! But there were only 6 left on the shelf. So don't feel so bad that we paid more. I also had to take out the plastic packaging as it was too bulky to fit into the car in the end. Hope you girls don't mind.

I got the Sophie seatbelt pads, sun screens and spoon set too hee hee. So happy.

Oh and guess what, MIL made lapin for lunch one day and I was in shock. I like foie gras, escargots etc so no one thought I would mind rabbit but hello! How to eat small white fluffy pets

i read that some of u thinking of closing shop after 1 kid... i told our friends the same thing during our BBQ session, and all of them told me that 1st one is always difficult, after this, 2nd child will be much much easier... all of them encouraged me to go for another 1 or 2 more... i am still trying to be convinced... kekeke
 
Hey Jean, how did Oli cope during take off and landing? Baby A was nusring most of the time. But during landing in SG, I let her Papa handle her. She was ok until the last part when you can feel your ears getting stuffed up. So she cried a little until we landed properly.

Must tell you girls about this AWFUL woman on the flight. We were in the middle row with bassinet in front. She glared at me as I sat down, making me wonder if I was in the wrong seat. Then she proceeded to complain when the cabin crew put up the bassinet, saying that she was told the seat next to her was empty. She actually said that she didn't want us to put up the bassinet saying that it obstructed her movements. Crazy woman!! The front row has more leg space than others, plus the bassinet is at eye level. How does it inconvenience her?? She complaned the whole flight to us and the cabin crew. Everyone knows the first row is for families or people who need special assistance. If she was so fussy, she should have paid for first class!
 
hahaha.... lapin for lunch... luckily from day one when they know me, they know that i will not eat rabbits and am allergic to mutton

oh, 10 euros at Auchan is still considered ex... maybe the town that u went to has higher living standard

Oli didn't have much problem during take off and landing when we came from SG, though i standby the pacifier... hope he will not have problem this Sat when we go back.
awww,,, that woman is so horrible... ya, she should have paid for first class or pay for 2 seats if she doesn't want anyone beside her
 
pumpkin, everybody also asked whether we can dun go back to SG... hahaha... then i joked that if i can find a good job (meaning a job that gives good pay and dun have to speak french) and someone to look after Oli, then i will consider... hahaha
 
fireangel, when we arrived in France, i took abt 2 - 3 days to adjust myself and baby to the time here... but i think the challenge will be when we go back to SG this Sat (arrive on Sun)... will let u know next week

jtho sob sob. Oh well, I didn't have time to check out all the supermarkets. They really want to spend every moment with the little one. And I have to stay as well in case she wants to latch on.
I don't know how to survive if I move to France. They can be so -s l o w- and inefficient there. We took 3 hours to clear immigration, file complaint that they damaged my carseat cover and collect the rental car. But then again, it's so beautiful, the food so nice, we got cherries, figs, walnuts in the garden...

Areya, going there was easy. She adapted in less than 2 days. But coming back... I think it's going to be harder. She was awake til 4am. I'll let you know how it goes.
 
Oh!! jtho, can you do ma a favour please? I tried to find the Beaba Babycook while I was there but couldn't. If you see it, can let me know how much it costs? It's US$150 so am hoping it will be cheaper in France.

ur parents pointed it out when they came to my place. but cant remember if it is 1 or 2 hr difference... hee hee.. ron says we good friends until join at the hips.. lol!

pumpkin, welcome home! oooh that lady sitting with you is really horrible, I would have been so pissed off too. Sometimes you would just meet some unreasonable people on the plane and make your whole trip so unpleasant. I had that experience before and felt so sian throughout the flight cause I was stuck beside him. Thanks for getting the sophie, can you pass it to Jo when you go for the dim sum buffet.

So did you try the laping that your MIL cooked？They eat that in England too, I even saw them hanging already dead with fur still on in markets!!

Don't think so. HAiz......i hope can get the shampoo asap. My hair had been dropping alot and can even find them on my pillow. Even my mum asked me coz she said everytime after my bath she found alot of hair dropping inside.

omg! i think kirsten is really teething... i see a white thing on her bottom gum... right inner side... or maybe ulcer? she refuses to let me see n feel properly... cryin n screamin away.. basket... she refusing to drink milk also... keep pushin bottle away... -_-.. last feed at 8am.. n she drank only 70mls....

I've been eating dim sum alot cos it is one of my fav food. Didn't notice any itching around my c-sec wound though. Maybe you can take just the char siew and pork mince type of dim sum?

Yummy just had dim sum again on Sat in fact. Had it at the old establishment at Chinatown. The Dim Sum eatery near the entrance to the Chinatown Hawker Centre carpark. Yummo!

Maybe we have the card we can seperately call to book another table as well. In case it is full for that day.

How do u change bb diapers in the plane? Toilet cubicles are so small.
Does the bassinet comes with seat belt to hold the bb? Must the bb be in the bassinet during takeoff/landing? or can we carry in order to latch on?
 
lenny - she is 3mths 1week? hmmm dunno leh... maybe its not... she doesnt allow me to see n feel leh... will try again later... haiii... dunno wan to bring to PD or not.. but waste $ jus to confirm she is teething? hahaha! dunno why today such a fusspot! whole of last night... nvr finish her feeds... only drink 1/2 or 2/3... then keep fussing at the teat.. nt new teat leh... i sometimes use small hole sometimes medium hole.. all along she is okie? hmmm... dn nw dun wan to drink her milk totally... -_- i jus managed to force her to drink 70mls...

I also think that mine is teething. In fact she has been drooling like mad since 5 weeks old. I heard that the teething process is a very long drawn out process i.e. baby might already be teething even though we don't see any sign of teeth showing for months. Anyway, since about a week ago I introduced the freezable type of teether to her and she loves it! I was worried it might be too cold but to my surprise she realy really enjoyed it. And she puts everything she can get hold of into her mouth these days too. She is by now coming to 4 mths.

Any of your babies are suffering from stinky neck??

My girl has been suffering from neck rash since two weeks ago. VEry raw red abrasions. Shiny surface in some parts, crusty in others. We tried to apply calendula cream but the problem is that it is within the deep crevice of her neck folds so it is hard to keep dry. Then nowadays I deteced a cottage chesse like thingy on her neck whih stinks. It is yellow not white in colour so I don't think it is thrush.

Have asked hubby to buy J&J pure baby cornstarch powder to try.

Anyone else experiencing this???

At my wits end.
 
alfafa - i lurve dim sum too! hurhurhur... but seldom eat becos no one acc me... =( HB simple man... he eat economic rice he happie liao... or hokkien mee... hahaha! u went to eat at Yan Palace ah? i went there few wks ago with parents & inlaws... but didnt get to enjoy bcos busy feeding kirsten... haiii.. by the time i ate, food cold le.. =( sian.... or is it Spring court? i think they have buffet menu for dim sum... i dont like Red Star becos its really horrible the way ppl chiong for the push carts... haiii... and if we do not approach the push carts as well, can forget abt eating... hahaha!

is the white part solid hard? Or is it creamy? Cos if it is a spot of wite with cream like consistency it could be oral thrush. Was researching on baby neck rash and came across that. Babies tend to reject bottles or feeding in general when they have that.

BB Andrique too has a white lump on his right bottom side of his gum. Went to ask PD, but PD says it's not teething. But my momee say it is. So i'll just wait and see.. BB A oso cry n got cranky these few days esp in the evening when we feed him. Dunno y..

Dim Sum Buffet
Like to join, but Dunno how to eat with BB tagging along... So think I'll take a raincheck. BTW what card entitles 1for1? Would like to bring my mum for it.
