alfafa - why dun bring lil grace to PD to check it out? kirsten has redness at the neck folds... i think becos heaty.. weather is horrible!!! i jus apply powder to it on n off... hasnt reach the stage of what lil grace has... hope it doesnt too!!! i think some other mummies also experienced it b4... u might wan to google it... sorrie cnt help u.. =P *sayang lil grace*
 


yan palace sounds familiar but forgot where liao. I used to love the one at Goodwood Park hotel but then they hardly serve dim sum now. More like lunch ala carte. So sad. Red star?! Yah yah I know. I used ot love it too but the service is getting increasingly bad wor plus impossible to find parking in the weekend.

My other regular fabourite is the east ocean place lor. Can't go wrong with that. Hehhee my hubby doesn't like dim sum actually. He has exp taste but he doesn't dig dim sum. I am the one who likes. Problem is it is really hard to enjoy a real dim sum experience with just 2 people. There is only this many plates you can eat. MOre people more fun. Usually in sets of 3 the best
 
kome, so fast?! I dun have time to do it cos no one look after my bb. Mdm rokiah told me its better to do it 4-6wks aft c section. It's already 3mths now for me..hahaha...Not sure if i still want to do it. Still go tummy. Now am 3kg heavier than pre-pregnancy stage.

If dun no, what if still got blood clot inside?

mine doesn't have any white spot but the ridges in her gums are getting more and more defined liao so I think she is teething. Plus she really likes the frozen teether I gave her which is like damn cold lor.

sob sob. yah damn gross. Will try the J&J pure cornstarch powder first. If it still doesn't help will bring to PD asap liao cos it might have become a yeast infection by then.

my gynae never say anything about seafood wor. So I wacked everything. I am fine though. I have keloid right from day one so I don't supposed it is due to the seafood.

Eh, My gynae told me postnatal massage only after 6 weeks, but a friend of mine did hers at 4 weeks and was fine. So I called a masseur who was highly recommended and was chastised gently by her. She said aiyo why you wait so long. C-sec beginning of week 3 should start asap liao. The earlier you start the better the results. She said after one month there is little point doing post-natal. What she recommends for those after one month is just tummy binding service. No point to have a full service postnatal massage. Hope this helps.

In fact, maybe you can just get a really good tummy binder and bind your belly on your own. That is what the masseur will do for you at this stage anyway, just that they will use the fabric type of binder.

That is the date that malay lady gave me. She told me it is better to do the massage by 2nd or 3rd week will have the best result.

Mmmmm....not sure is it due to the massage or what, i had lose all the weight and even lesser by 1kg from my pre-pregnancy. Of course, still got tummy lar.

You want to try to apply the red can powder daily and see if its help? Whenever my son got rashes, my mum immediately will apply that and its really help.

I think I know what u talking abt cos my boy also like that...think its the hot weather. Try to lift her chin up and wipe with wet towel regularly. Dry it then put some baby powder on. Feels it helps

am in a dilemna as well. Don't want to resort to visiting a PD at every whim but then it looks gross to me. Baby seems unaffected though. Then again she has been waking up ALOT ALOT at night these days and refuses to go back to sleep after her night feeds (I'm so exhausted it is not funny man) so I wonder if it is due to teething or this skin problem.

Mommies who are back to work. Be prepared hor. When babies start to teeth they can get really cranky and start to wake up more often at night. Happened to my friend as well. Baby was sleeping through the night for some time liao then suddenly wake up 3 times a night again. Lasted for two months before she grdually went back to normal. Now at 6mths plus can see one cute little tooth.

thanks babe. Yah was initially concerned about applying powder cos I read that it is harmful for baby to inhale but now all I want is to keep her neck dry man. I try to put her on her tummy once in a while so that she would lift her chin up. But seriously that can keep it dry for only like 5 mins each time. She has lots of fat rolls and no neck. Lols

Kayle also got heat rash at her neck and her back of her head and neck. took her to see doc and was given a cream to apply. after applied, it's gone. But i forgot the name of the cream.
I let u know tmr. It is very good.

Woww.....your gal teething really very early. Mostly properly due to the pain thats why she cannot drink her milk. Poor gal......hugz hugz....

Rem to buy the freezable type hor? I bought mine from munchin at the spree. Try to get those type of designs with as much corners as possible so baby can get into their mouths. E.g. flower petals. I got the munchin foot design so she is gnawing on the big toe. Hehehe Oh yes, don;t bother with the chillable type. I got one from sassy and it is useless lah. Cannot keep cold at all cos it cannot be frozen.

Ya, i hope to get my tummy off too, every clothes i where tummy pop out. The powder can be get from any TMC shop, it should be some kind of medicated powder i not too sure either. It is in a red can type, very easy to identify.

Same here, i never apply powder on him till he had these problem. One way to prevent/lessen the chance of baby inhaling powder is to put some on your palm first, then use finger dab dab

i found 2 ! lol! 1 cnt be frozen.. its some soft plastic.. or at least it claims its soft plastic! but when i press its super hard.. zzz... its a donal duck teether... the 2nd one is minnie mouse... one part is rattle ball.. other side is round with gel filled thing... nt sure if that one cn be frozen and useful or not but i jus cleaned it and pop into freezer... later at night will give to kirsten... cannot then tmr go buy frm KP liao

my bb has this problem when he is 2 weeks old..cos my MIL didn't keep my bb neck dry as she uses a very thin towel, so by then wipe my bb liao the towel all wet how to keep dry the neck when the towel is wet..sigh..in the end my bb neck also kana then went to PD lor..

MIL also never look well his neck lor so heart pain

tristan have that too .. pd prescribed a cream - Canesten HC Cream. not sure if u can get from phamacies. but is really good apply 1 time and the prob disappears however.. got to monitor , keep it dry .. as it will always come back.
juz wann take note: once recovers don apply the cream. coz it contains a lil steroid if im not wrong.
15g cream contains clotrimazole 1% &amp; hydrocortisone 1% u can goggle on it..
normal days i use calendula cream like not very effective. also try aloe vera gel seems better then the former one. my mom love to use chinese powder ( Fei Zi Fen ) frm chinese medical hall, she say cheap n good ..

be careful though. check before giving it to kirsten ok? cos some teethers cannot be frozen like the sassy teether i boight. says there in bold that it can be chilled only not frozen. says that the gel might burst, toy might end up with cracks; dangerous for bb.

cindy just gave me a great tip via sms. Use avene thermal water spray regularly while on tummy time. What a great idea. I forgot about the avene water. Have just done it and wiped clean with facial cotton, now her neck seems cleaner at least. Think the cold spray gives her some relief as well. Thanks cindy!

My ger also drools a lot and I am thinking she may be teething. Did see some white patches on her gums. I have heard that the teething process can be rather painful for them and so they may wake up a few times in the nite becos of that. I really dread that happening esp when have to wake up early to go to work.

actually I had rabbit stew at burswood casino before back when I was a student in Perth, Australia. Very nice. Kinda like chicken which means I might as well just eat chicken and leave these poor bunnies alone! hehehe

use baby safe scissors, not nail cutters. I tried the latter at first and I accidentally cut her flesh as well.

Re: babies getting closer to maids.

Lipstar, reading your post about your maid made me worried too. I'm thinking, is it possible for you and hubby to give him a bedtime bath before putting him to sleep? It is a common practice in angmo countries and they have cold weathers so I think it should be fine for our hot weather. In fact, i my household we only give her bedtime bath, not morning baths. In this way at least you and hubby can take over the bathing part. This is one of the very important bonding exercise with baby and you really don't want the maid to be doing this in addition to feeding, sleeping, diaper changing etc etc. Hopefully you can work it out yah

eh you never know. Babies progress really quickly these days. I started gracie on the jumperoo since some weeks back but she was still too small to appreciate the toys. Just kinda sat there with a stoned face but her eyes would be fixated on the hanging parrot. Then who knew, last night my hubby put her in out of desperation again and it was as if we had a diff baby. She was jumping and jumping and jumping so happily. She also stretched out one of her arms to reach for the toys liao. Hahahah damn funny watching her play
