yah lor so funny. Same here KS. I gave her 3 doses, one more even after her fever subsided. Baby fever is very scary one.
Re: mommies with maids to help take care of baby
Not to scare you guys but I've heard this too often. Just met my ex-colleague, hubby and her 6mth old boy at ECP last weekend for lunch and she told me about her experience. She hired one specially to help with bb while she and hubby work full time. Her MIL and M takes turn to come. During confinement she was advised to do it the traditional way i.e. don't do any baby duty except nurse (her M says bottle feed only). Everything else leave to the maid. So the maid is the one to change bb diapers, bath, entertain everything lah, just not feeding. This continued even into the 3rd month esp since she had to report back to work in month 2 liao (my ex coy is like that one). Anyway, she had her wake up call one weekend on mth 4, when for the first time she was with baby AND maid together. She said it was just oh sooooooooooo blatant that baby wanted the maid and NOT her. He was smiling at her, cooing at her, looking at her and not once bothered to look at mommy. My friend had to let go of baby to pass to the maid. Then my friend realised that the maid had taken over her rightful status at baby's #1. From then onwards she banished her maid from all baby duties. Only MIL or M during the day time, then at night once she is back she will take over. In the weekend she will come out without the maid for strictly family time.
Heard this happen too many times liao.
My hubby's friend with a 2 year old recently even sacked their maid because their toddler never outgrew her preference for the maid. In the end no choice, they sacked the previous maid, hired a new one to do strictly house work. The transition period was really trying but at least mommy got her girl back. Both working parents also.
That is the bane of working mommies. Got to be careful lor. *hugs all FTWM*
