re: menses
been spotting for two months already. Wasn't sure it was menses actually, until I saw the comments from other mommies. I also thought it would be like a running tap for my first mense. Whew. I'm still TBF btw.
re: gathering at my place
sala sala. I forgot Seabreeze is hosting one this week. Was worried for pepper being cooped up alone at home with a colicky baby mah so thought ask her to come my place plus round up a few mommies at the same time. I also wish to host another gathering but eversince I changed my sofa set my living room space effectively got cut into half. Very small liao. Think max 7 to 8 mommies only.
Re: hairloss
aiyo, baby and me dropping hair like siao. Hubby used to complain that he has two dogs at home and that was before I was pregnant. Now it's so much worse. I prop baby up on a baby pillow when I sleep feed her on my bed sometimes (I caved in and did the sleep position now as well. Too tired) and I can see lots of her tiny baby hair all over the pillow. Luckily her features are starting to look a bit more girlish now, if not everyone will think that she is a boy. Some "auntines" are very funny one leh. I dressed gracie in a pretty baby dress and this passerby asked, "this one boy ah?" in hokkien. Hello?!!! You make your son wear dress last time is it??
Pepper,
glad to know that you are not always stuck at home. Yah visiting your mom regularly is a good idea. You need as much help as you can get. Wah must have been a long time since you and hubby went out for dinner and shopping.
Misscandy,
that pic is so well taken?? By your hubby? Oh your girl is so cute! She can give a really cute sad face. Mine does that too sometimes, as a prelude to her crying fits. hehehe very hard not to laugh in her face.
Don't think I will make a YL for her lah. Am more tempted to get a baby rocker/swing. But then they all seem very small leh. Doesn't seem like a rocker or swing can work once baby knows how to sit up.
Fireangel,
true true. At least you know what to do to make baby feel better. You too, must go out to jalan jalan. You are in UK right? are you using a sling/pouch/carrier? I read that some of the sling positions are very good for colicky babies.
Pups,
wow then how? you might end up with two big light bulbs soon. V difficult to kick a toddler off the bed once he is used to it. Nice to have a coffee session with just hubby, however rare that might be. Actually I have been feeling the neglect in our husband wife relationship for a while. Not good. While it may seem harmless now, if hubby and I are complacent and don;t do anything about it i.e. just let it continue to slide ... one fine day we will wake up in the morning and realise that the passion between us is gone. Everything becomes auto pilot .. together because ... we are together loh, don't need to think mah. And then all it takes is a fine young lady or man to suddenly come into the picture ...
OK maybe I am paranoid but I've seen it happen to too many people I love. My old elder sis is one. My ex ex colleague another. Then aiiiii just last week my hubby's elder sis, my SIL in other words also decided to engage a PI to track down her hubby. Long story. But the point is there. Somehow cracks came into the relationship (usually after children) insidously, nothing was done about it. Then suddenly, someone interesting comes into the pic and the whole "system" collapsed.
Really have to make effort. I'm glad for the wake up call. Am now making effort to have some TLC with hubby, even if it's just reading the papers together at night. I used to go to bed much later than him. These days I try to go to bed together, then continue using my lappie in bed. At least we go to bed together mah. Can talk a bit.
as usual my post is very long hor. heee
more to come. still looking through archive
