heehee i am a lazy n bo chap mummy...whenever Joel is noisy, I just put him into the electric yaolan n he will guaiguai go to sleep :p

In the meanwhile maybe u like to give ur mother sometime to adapt to ur gal's need so at least no last min crop up.

<font color="ff0000">prosper</font> - r u using yaolan too? My mum just bought the sunflower electric motor from msia at only RM130+ n KP is selling at SGD$139 lor!! heehee...more excuse for me to be dependent on yaolan.
 


mangogal: initially i tot elixir is dependent on yaolan cos no yaolan cannot slp n needs constant rocking but when he really wana slp, just put him in then rock awhile n off he is to la la land n u can stop rocking unless he wakes up...then i realise he is only noisy when he doesnt wana slp yet i force him into the yaolan...for night time i will put him in to make him sleepy then carry him n put him on the bed, feed him milk then he wil sleep on e bed till morning le...i would also suggest yaolan for caroline...it works like a miracle...
 
<font color="ff0000">mangogal</font> - i think it's ok ba. cos Joel also sleep in yaolan during day n night time sleep in cot. When we go out n if he is tired, he just sleep in his stroller automatically. I was worried like u initially but now turns out fine.
 
hi mangogal prosper is rite...tink ur dear needs e moving motion to sleep...i used to worry like u but then when i see my boi sleeping lesser in 2+mths..i got worried too...same here, my mom takes care of him in wkdays till fri...not possible for her to play w him on n on...

mayb u can get a 2nd hand one...i happen to get a gd lobang... e guy passed me 2 sets of yl/ one electric n e other 1 manual all 4 e price of SG$160...+ 3 YL CLOTHS...

i used to frequent alan photo at simlim den frenz asked me try cathay photo, yest was the 1st time i buy frm them n i find quite gd. u got better deal frm another shop? muz recommend k.

its a super close fren so no choice. u oso my fren mah.

yaolan not bad lah, is good i find.

Kayle has been sleeping yaolan since after her one mth. try to let her regonise yaolan first. when she get use to it, then try not to let her sleep yaolan too often.
Now Kayle on and off sleeping yaolan and bed. no problem one..
 
vernice, ya i have 3 yaolan. those manual one. 1 at my home, 1 at mil house, 1 at my mum house. All are pass down from friend. My yaolan can be move around.

My boy also naps very little in the day, he's only taking abt 2-3 naps of 30mins each in the day since he was 6 weeks old. He will want to sleep at 7+pm till 7am and cry for feed once in the midnight &amp; once when he wakes up in the morning. I was also like you, worried that he may not be developing/growing well but doc say some babies are like that, they tend to sleep less in the day.

Whenever I bring him out in carrier/stroller, he can nap for longer period, cld be due to the motion. We also tried yaoloan but he will wake up once we stop rocking, so we decided not to let him sleep anymore.

My hb help me buy a 2nd hand brest pillow here for US$2... hee hee... not bad hor..
I love to see bb suckle when i nurse her so i cant come online... i spend my nursing time looking at her. ANyway, bb C only nurse for 10 to 15 mins each time and she is done. Heh.. she fast drinker.

Yeah.....my bag from that blog arrive. I had got the bibu bibu shoulder bag and 1 other bag. Quite sweet and nice.

My boy only can sleep in yaolan for longer time but on bed he cannot sleep very well even at night making me very tired lor. He even only takes his milk in yaolan if not he will not finish his milk.
 
mangogal, I dont know but I think sometimes baby will just get cranky. Like marissa also she was really cranky last week and she didnt want to drink her milk and had to be carried around for a long time before falling asleep. Now this week she is ok. I guess maybe babies go through a certain phase and they will be ok after. monitor for a while and i believe after a while caroline would be fine since she has previously have no problem falling asleep in the bouncer, just have to bear with it and hang in there. I know how it feels, simply frustrating and tiring but just have to tell ourselves to hang on. Hang in there gal!

<font color="ff0000">prosper</font> - wa 3 yaolan?!?! i only got 1 at my mum n 1 at my place. Both electric n moveable too. But i hardly use yaolan at my place cos i just put Joel on my bed n lightly pat him, he will fall asleep.

My friend also into photography one...maybe i check with her. I am the lazy type, don like to carry bulk stuff ard so no SLR for me.
For drypers, so far i only know Ida's son using. My boy can't use drypers.

wow these 2 nights were the best nights so far for my hb. Joel went to sleep ard 9+ then wake him up for feed ard 11pm then he sleep all the way till 7am w/o waking up for feed! My hb was so happy that he don need to wake up at night. heehee. I scare he hungry so ask hb to increase his feed to 140ml but he drank very fast!

Brianne rejects bottle.. we tried diff teats, diff bottle, diff time, diff ppl feed, diff milk (fresh EBM, frozen EBM, diff FM) ..all these without me being around.

she will scream off her head crying very loud till choke, running nose, whole face red, kick n punch and rather starve than drink from bottle.. her longest record is non stop for 45 mins..

we mentioned her reaction to the parentcraft lactation consultant that's why she told me its ok as long as i dun need to go back to work.. else we really got to force her.

from the class that we attend, we were told that we do not need to sterilise bb's stuff after bb reached 4 mths.. this will allow her system to get used to bacteria n let her body learn to fight them off.

if we introduce semi solid food like cereals or mashed food.. we have to use spoon to feed right?
bb won't be eating semi solid food through bottle.. think as long as the utensils are cleaned using those detergents meant for bb.. it will be fine..

Brianne does drink FM both from cup and spoon after she was discharged from hospital, that was before my breast milk supply came in.

Actually marissa's schedule is quite similar to joel. She will go to sleep at 9 plus, then we dream feed her at 11pm, then she will normally sleep all the way to around 7am but now cos I need to go to work will just wake her and latch her on at 630am, then she will continue sleeping to 9 plus.

at least caroline loves sleeping in her stroller.. Brianne does not really like her stroller n prefers to be carried in her carrier.

We were thinking if we bought the wrong stroller.. maybe should get one that faces me instead of face front.. cos she don't cry that much in her stroller when she can see me
 
mangogal,I also use yaolan since my baby was 1 mth old. Can't live without it liao, in fact my mil even said without yaolan, she will not have agreed to take care of him. ;p Regarding crankiness, my baby is also like that past few days. But today, when I turned the fan on him, about 2 metres away when he's drinking milk, he drank quite fast. So I think it could be the weather too..

Hee hee.. she is really lucky that she came to US, toys are cheaper here. But she dont seem to like the swing nowadays, maybe starting to feel to squeezy liao. We bought jumperoo for her too but dont dare to put her in yet cos too early.

Ur bb is so brave, never cry! My bb was screaming like mad at her first jab. Scream so loud and long that she slept immediately after she stop crying, too tired liao. poor bb.

My gal also suddenly become like that at 2 weeks ago. I got used to it already. INitially I plan to use controlled crying method to make her learn to self-soothe but now me more concern about bottle feeding. Probably after she stop fussing at her bottle feed and willing to take 3 bottles a day, then i would try to train her to self-soothe. Think bb more awake now, no choice. How long does ur bb sleep at nite? Mine sleep from 1030 to about 1 pm everyday, waking up only for feeds, that's why i am not so concern when she doesnt really want to take long naps in the afternoon.

yep.. think my frozen EBM can last me for a while.. not of much help cos brianne rejects bottle feed. if i really fall sick. then no choice, got to force feed.

hubby n me not keen to force her to do what she doesnt like for her first 6 mths.. we worry about side effects on her psychological development. we read an were told by specialist that we will not spoil bb for their first 6mths..

we will enforce discipline after bb is more settled and comfortable with surroundings.. All the time we are telling her what we do or what we are going to do n we told her the reason why we do it. understand or not.. maybe no at this stage..but we just do it. we hope to reason out in teaching her than tell her to do it cos we are the parents so she should always listen to us.
 
Wow....So many of the babies are able to sleep thru in the nite. Ryan is sometimes able to sleep from 10pm to 4am but sometimes wakes up every 2hrs. How envious I am...heee~

Drinking Milk from bottle
Ryan used to drink milk super quick in the 1st 2 mths, but recently he was slow to finish is 120ml (stuck at this amount since 2mth but interval is shorter). He will fuss, 'complain' and try pushing it away! Just realised yesterday that I shouldn't have changed his preferred latex NUK teats to the silicon one....sigh...Today he is back to his own self! *Thank God as it was really worrying*

Lenny, ya the combi carseat cum stroller is front facing us, so she always sleep whenever we put her in, cos she knws we are looking after her n she feel safe facing us n zzz...

Vivien, ya weather so hot so I was very puzzled that she wants to zz in the carseat than bouncer, bouncer is so much cooler than carseat lor..

Well today she zz like a pig, cos start of day after her 1st feed at 8am n bath, I put her in carseat than she is in her lala land..so pick her up n transfer to bouncer n still happily zz away...think I need to do that everyday liao, aiyo so tiring :p

Sleeping thru nite..erm she nw can sleep frm 10pm to 8am everyday regardless how many hrs she zz during day, but will wake up once in mid of nite for a feed

She is accepting the bottle unwillingly still. Would make some complain noise when it is bottle time but seems like she has resigned to taking 2 bottles a day now. I am intending to increase it to 3 bottles a day next week. Maybe after that i can start on sleep training.

At least ur gal can sleep after being transferred, my gal cant seem to settle herself properly. Been 2 weeks already.. heh.. Then by the time i get her settled, i am coming back to SG and everything will get haywire again.

ANy idea use yaolan until how old actually? AM thinking whether i should make it easier for my MIL by getting a yaolan for bb when i get back to work. She currently say she dont want. I vaguely remember sleeping on mattresses when i was small. my mom say she never put me in yaolan.

How much you willing to let go? Is it movable type one? I thinking to get 1 yaolan at my PIL place if it is cheap.

ya my boy also terrible sleeper/napper as I keep on complaining in here, but it's also true that some days he more cranky than others, and later in the afternoon/early even lagi worse than the morning. just need to see how ur bb's pattern turns out. if she really obviously tired but die die still fight the sleep despite u already giving her a lot of the sayang/attention she wants during her activity time then maybe just let her fuss when u put her to sleep. if she is that tired she will probably eventually drop off. perhaps do a naptime routine as well so that she knows it's naptime?

you all lucky ah. no yaolan in the uk, but then i don't think i will use anyway - we had a moses basket that bb will nap in during the daytime, but he developed habit of not wanting to sleep in his cot after that... cannot imagine what will happen with the yaolan xP

<font color="ff0000">mangogal</font> - the only thing abt normal/manual yaolan is tt it doesn't free up ur time. u must sit there to 'yao' the bb which can be quite tiring. i remember using my legs to 'yao' my sisters while my hand do other things!

<font color="ff0000">asura</font> - the yaolan can be use till at least 1 or 2 but try not cos by then hopefully bb can sleep on their own liaoz.

<font color="ff0000">kome</font> - why u need one at PIL? u stay there often?

I have been using only the mildest of shampoos - every bottle i change a different brand. The last one i used was something from l'occitane - figured the fewer chemicals the better. sigh.

Very jialat. Anver is a very "meow" person. Like this cannot like that also cannot. Only yaolan he can sleep longer lor. Yup, should end of this year will be moving in, but now waiting for my key first :p . Mine is at Punggol Coralinus

hey.. im back here again..
my bb no poo for 10daes.. from e forum,i seen one bb no poo for 15daes.. if by cumin mon, bb stil no poo, im gg to brin her c pd.. nw everidae im encouragin her to poo.. called parentcraft, dey sae is alrite, tell mee to loosen bb diaper, make her relax &amp; encouraged her to poo..

im returnin work cumin wed.. i feel so sianz.. i sure miz my bb.. I cant even join in for e gatherin..
