hello.. greeting from office.
not a bad start today. not really get into any 'real work' yet.. colleagues have been coming over to my place and chat...
Just finished milking, going to milk again at 2+, 3pm.
Just called home, Zac's fever had subsided. He went for his 5in1 jab yesterday and this morning developed fever of 37.6 degree.
He weighs 6.1kg now and is 62cm tall.
not a bad start today. not really get into any 'real work' yet.. colleagues have been coming over to my place and chat...

When it comes to kids, I am quite pantang and yes, do believe they can see things. I hope bb Grace is fine now. Else, there is no harm getting promegranate leaves for her to bath in.

What about putting your pump parts in containers? Like lock and lock or Tupperware? I have a tupperware container which fits my pump parts to a 'T'. I can also fit all the pump parts into this tupperware and just pour boiling water over it when I need to sterilise the parts at work. Actually, this was what I did in my recent trip to HK. I couldn't possibly have brought my steriliser along!

It will be fun for your family as well but you have to be prepared to keep carrying the kids. Once you are mentally prepared, though physically tired, you will still enjoy the trip

Thanks for the link. Looks like I only need M size. L size too big for my boy to bring to school cos his is only half day and he doesn't bring so many things to school. I am looking for one that I can just squeeze into his small school bag

I am sure you can do it. Moreover, you don't have to transport #2 out of the house. I have to think of how to transport #2 out of the house, then #1. Cos #1's cc only takes in kids after 7.30am. And I have to leave Sengkang by 7.35am if I want to reach work place (in Buona Vista) on time! Which means hubby may have to send #2 to my parents' place first, then turn back and pick me and #1 up. Aiyo.... And the packing of ebm to bring over to my parents' place and my pump to bring to work. *faint and refuse to be revived*

pups, haha small one practical for our own use. i use to put tissue, money, extra cards when i go eat lunch ahhaha!! yes i am sure we can solve the logistics as they come!! too troublesome so that's why me converting AM feeds to FM so don't have to worry abt ebm, pump, else i think i really cannot take it ahhaha! selfish me. night time whne i come home, i will latch.
pups, sounds like you have a great time in HK. peifu you can bring your 2 kiddos along, I have only one and I dont dare to bring her overseas until maybe a few mths later.

Ya lor, small one not very practical. I can only put 2 rompers and 3 handkerchiefs and its very 'fat' already. If you want to put clothes for toddler think might be a little too difficult.

I am using it to put 1 handkerchief only! Haha. For my boy, it is usually a wet handkerchief. As for clothes, unless he really soil himself, the teacher will not change for him since he will be dismissed at 1pm. So, I don't need one to put clothes for him to bring to school.

He threw the "I don't want to go to school" tantrum this morning and I managed to coax him out of the house after promising to pick him up personally at 1pm.

Not so hard to bring a baby out... hungry, just latch! I think it will be a nightmare to bring overseas when baby is on semi solids. It is either your baby takes instant cereal (you still have to think of boiling water) or bottled food throughout the whole trip, or you have to cook porridge??!!

Your advice needed. Any of ur babies milk intake decline one eh? My boy, now 2.5mths used to take 4-4.5oz of ebm, then I tried to stretch him to 5oz, which he managed to take for a few days. Then for the past few days, he went back to 4oz, then now the last 2 feeds, he only drank 3.5oz each time. Tried to coax him to drink, but he will use his hand to push away or push the teats out. Try harder and he will cry. But overall, he looks ok and not cranky. So wonder if its normal??

Pups, oh tell me abt it! when I brought my #1 who was 2.5yo then to Japan last year, he suddenly wanted to be carried all the time. Worse, I brought the stroller, so me and my hubby took turns to carry stroller with him seated inside up and down the subway stairs. everywhere we went we took train, so up and down cuz we don't want to walk long long distance to take the lifts if there were any. I brought my pedometer along and everyday I managed to walk more than 10000 steps and when I returned from the trip, heehee weight loss. But I salute you, 2 kids up the stairs!!! I don't think I'm able to do it at all. no more holidays till kids are bigger. Heehee.

prosper, read on and off from the archive that you are taking medicine to stop MS. Why? What a pity. Pls don't stop if your supply is good. Even if you must stop due to family pressure or work, then just let it subside by itself by prolonging pump intervals and not emptying the breasts.

My boy had a similar howling incident when he was 7 weeks. We were at a fren's house at Holland Rd and when we were abt to leave, he suddenly looked deep into the trees and cried. I tot it was becoz' of the dark but now after reading yr post, I wonder... Anyway, dun think so much abt it. It may be nothing of that sort. Im quite pan tang when it comes to my boy so I bathe him in pomengrate leaves when I return home. My boy has nv cried that way since then. U may want to try like pups suggested

Ya...actually quite similar case too....Ryan used to take 120ml every 2.5-3hrly....recently cant finish his 120ml...will drink up to 70ml then start crying and can hear the gaggling sound in his throat. After letting him take his breather, he'll continue but it's already an hour! =( Really dunno what happen to them...sigh

Me also like you, not very sure how many ml to bb. First time my hb feed, she took 90 ml and needed more suckle but subsequently her intake went down until she reject the bottle. So today I gave her 80 ml, she finished and looked like she wanted more suckle but I never let her latch on. 1.5 hrs later, she want milk again. Was quite happy that she was willing to take the bottle. Humm... maybe my husband was not patient enough with her when he feed her. Wonder whether i should pump more to give her tomorrow. Am going to try her on 2 bottles tomorrow since today went smoothly.
Re; Lumps in Breast
If u feel lump but soft, it means that still got blk ducts but not engorged. You got to work harder on massaging before pumping or latching. Try to get rid of the lump before you relax on pumping to prevent recurrence.

Actually I take my hats off SAHM. I think it is tougher to take care of the bb 24/7 on your own. Though working is tough as well but there's no need to be there for the bb at work, the mind can afford to switch off a bit and one's time need not be dependent on bb's routine and moods. SAHM with no pay... really tough. I definitely cant take it, maybe with kids but not with bb cos bb cant really be disciplined.
