Just got the wetbags which i had oredered from Joann. Ok.....this time round she had use PROCARE LINING which is quite thick and good as commpare to her 1st BP one. Quite worth it lar, but i think large one is abit too big. :p

lenny...i join u 2...still sprawling thru e BP n see waz useful for my bb boi...btw, dunno if momz realise tat bb's stuff very costly...sometimes when e sales pple claim tat bbs learn optimally frm birth to x mth, i really wonder e relevance...mayb they r all out to grab our $ by stroking our kaisu-ness...thus they say all these...hope i don offend anyone as i myself do wan e best for my boi but im oso cautious in e 'exaggerated' claims made by them...

speaking of work, im going back in Aug...i guess e longer leave u take e more u miss bb big time...being a 1st time mommy, i tink itz e most unique experience i ever go thru as a woman...it truly makes u feel special...nvm e endless feeds/diaper changes/cries...all worries go away when ur child oooohhhh/aaaahhhh w u, if timing gd, i hope for a #2 to keep my #1 company...
I plan to take npl next year, when bb is > 8 mths onwards...but then hopefully hav enuf cash to tide thru esp when we r tinking of having a home of our own, rite now living w mil...

personally whether SAHM/HAWM *Hard @ work mom, we r all great momz in e eyes of our children...

Ok, the length for the toy leash is 50cm and there are buttons at both side for you to adjust the length that you want.

alfafa, nice to hear from u. i was almost abt to sms you to ask how are you liao.

i am so dead. my #1 caught a virus n had fever since thurs, flu, and cough.Today he was just getting better but guess what. Trishelle's turn to fall ill. It hurts me so much to see her nose wet and her coughing in the midst of her sweet sleep. And not to say, how disruptive it has been for my own sleep! and my poor #1 is so sticky n cranky when he is ill, cry buckets when i walk out of his sight, and i had to force feed his medicine into his mouth. Him being so irritable irritates me but i cannot lose my temper at him. A test of my patience. Sighs. Now he is so afraid of eating anything. AHHHH!

I survived my Hong Kong trip! :p No joke bringing a 3 month old and a 2.5 year old on a trip when the 2.5 year old decided during this trip that he wants to be carried EVERYWHERE and the 3 month old has to be carried/sling everywhere cos we didn't bring any stroller in view of the non-stroller friendly environment. But still, it was a nice family trip, together with my parents, and we still managed to cover quite a bit! For those who are familiar with the 269 steps to climb to reach the Big Buddha on Lantau island, hubby and me managed to carry one kid each and ascended those steps. Heh.

Now, now, I don't think I will ever get to read the archives for this thread. Hope I didn't miss out much.

You are really the expert when it comes to wetbags! Can I just tap on your expertise and awareness... which are the current good BPs on wetbags? I don't have a single one and am contemplating getting perhaps 2 small/medium ones cos I keep using fresh plastic bags everyday for my #1 to bring to school cos the teacher will wipe them and they come home with wet handkerchieves. Thanks in advance!

Enjoying yourself huhh.....woww......pei fu you for bringing 2 childrens for holiday. Think our children age gap the same, but i don't think i dare to bring them oversea lor.

Ok, regarding the wetbag. Pls don't said that i am an expertise just that i had got the wetbags from different organiser and able to compare them. Actually you may get it from Joann if you want. Hers is very cheap and quality is about the same as those from US one, but to be honest her design choices is not as much as the other organiser. Hers is ready stock and very cheap especially for us with 2 kids need to save abit of money here and there.

Heehee.....recently i had just used the large wetbag fir son to use at childcare too. Save plastic bag and the earth.

me gg back to werk last year fro the first few weeks also pumped in toilet.. then found myslef in the pantyr(asked by my colleagues) to just covermyself with jacket and pump.. my colleagues got used to it after a while and heng most of them are ladies as well

about complaints about noise work.. man.. am i gg to get more complaints frm u mummies when i start work.. as i work in the call centre maintaining hdb areas in singapore for town councils and hdb.. partly.. like woodlands / yishun... mostly northern and western...if they make noise after office hourss.. oh man

oh btw.. as a guideline (haizzz...how is wish i have forgetten this in my job now... but still can remember)

noise pollution inside hdb homes can be done up to 5 or 6pm.. and is under HDB.. so no point screaming at us call centre ppl (EMSU) .. we can only take down ur case and esclate to officers... police also honestly cannot do much abt this unless it is a great nuisance..

Lift upgrading works can be done up to 7pm usually and also on weekends no noise werks can still be done...

oh my.. why m i thinking wbt work matters... haizz...
 
oh yeah, anybody knows where i can find the medela breastshields connector? Teddybaby mentioned can get a First Few Years, went there bought the breastshields but silly me didn't get the connector. Now the shop closed for renovation! In fact, the whole row of kidz shops there are all closed already...

*sigh* back to using the standard 24mm and squashing my nippes in it *urghhhh*

pups, wow you're very adventurous! Glad you had a nice break with both in tow.

PD advised to keep Baby A out of the swimming pool and sea for now. She had outbreak of rashes on her whole body, crusty eye with abrasion on the outer corner after the weekend trip to the beach. Screamed blue murder at the PD office this arvo. Poor Daph and Ugin could hear her from the waiting area.
 
prosper, do whatever feel right for YOU because it's you who has to live with the decision ultimately. If you decide to stop, try to do it naturally? I am no expert but heard LC say gradually pump less and less.

to all working mums - I take my hats off to you, especially those who are pumping at work. I struggle with b-feeding sometimes as a SAHM so I can't imagine what it must be like for you, only that you will always have the knowledge that you tried the best for your children.

wetbags - I ordered until blur as combined with a friend. Just waiting to see who asks me to pay and what arrives in the mail haha.

Forgot to call post office to ask them to re-deliver my nursing shawl! alfafa, if I see you later today, please remind me.

Oh so sorry I have forgotten about it completely. Was really excited at coming pass but then the plugged ducts came about and all I could think of is how to get rid of them. Looks like I will have to give it a miss for now. Tue is also when my mom/sis will be coming to drop off the maid + visit baby. Will look for you again when you are back. I wrote her an email to ask about bulk discount liao. Waiting for her to give me mre details. She said that though her spree had ended she is still taking orders and is in fact still awaiting for some of her purchases to arrive so she might possibly still be abl to fit in our orders. Anyway some of the bags I am interested in are missing details like dimensions and closure type etc. Waiting for her to furnish more details. Unlike most sprees, no overseas delivery charge is applicable. However she does charge an additional SGD5 on top of the total purchase for more than 10 bags due to increase in shipping cost. Local pick up is by normal post, registered or pick up at Toa Payoh, Novena MRT .. other places can be arranged.

btw, rem some time ago I posted that I believe babies can see angels? I'm wondering then, does that mean they can see bad spirits? :-(

Reason I say this is because last week we brought her to East Coast Park for dinner and we ended up at this little restaurant called Zen, next to MacD. She was well behaved throughout most of the dinner until towards the end. Got a tad cranky ...c ried etc so hubby brought her out of the restaurant to pacify her. As usual, her kaypoh nature surfaced and she calmed down, eyes big big looking around etc. Then really suddenly, as if a switch has been turned OFF, she went from being silently curious to ... I don;t even knwo the word to describe it. It was a complete and utter meltdown. The entire stretch of diners seated outside MacD, the Hong Kong eatery, the steamboat places etc etc ... everyone turned around in shock. She wasn't screaming bloody murder or blue murder or even tearing the house down. This was ten times worse than all of the above, pretty much howling with all her might! It was those really terrifying screams you hear in the middle of the night as if someone was under attack. Freaked me and hubby out completely.

She was inconsolable. Even throughout the car ride. Refused the breasts and all methods possible to calm her down. She only started to calm down a little after we reach home. Even then she was sobbing ... I know, babies don't sob but I swear that was what she did. Her tiny little body was heaving with her every sob.

It was so eerie I still get the shivers just thinking about it. Hubby is convinced she saw "something" highly disturbing. He says that ECP has lots of bad history.

Yikes .... giving myself the goosebumps.
 
Alfafa, thank you. I hope it gets better for Trishelle in the morning. I hear her coughing ever so often Now... So afraid it would affect her appetite. Brought her to pd, he said no medication as they are too young, only gave me antibiotics. Hai... N now I am feeling a bad throat! Oh... What u described abt grace reminded me of my #1. It happened to him once when he was ard 3.5 to 4mths old. We were out having dinner at imm. All was fine when he started crying his lungs out all of a sudden. Was absolutely terrified. No matter how I hugged, patted, talked, coaxed, he still cried very badly. Didn't want to latch, just cried uncontrollably n inconsolably. All the way home, where he slowly started to quieten n calm down. Sigh.. My mil n mom said he is recognizing places n feel unsecure outside. So from then on, I always returned home before 8pm, or try to return home before the sky turns dark. n slowly, I tested if he was ok gg outside by walking in the void deck. Only when he turned 7mths, then all was back to normal. Haha.... So hugs to bb grace. I hope Trishelle won't be like this...

Pumpkinseed, oh dear! Muacks to baby a. Girl, its definitely worth it! Baby a will be so happy n benefit most from u being a sahm! Oh Hehe, not possible to bring sophies on the workshop day? I doubt I can go to a wkday gathering man... Heh.

Enjoy life meh? I have not gone overseas for quite a while leh. And this Hong Kong trip, I didn't buy a single piece of clothing hor.... haha. With kids around, it is very difficult to shop. Not to mention I have the baby sling on me, how to try any thing?

Wanted to go on this trip since last year. Then I got pregnant and morning sickness was so bad that had to give the trip a miss. So, now since on maternity leave, quickly go first before I face with leave issues when I return back to work. Due to work, I have cancelled leaves previously before and don't want that to happen for this trip.

Try mums 'n' babes? They are authorised dealers of medela as well. A lot more expensive then getting from overseas (but you have to factor in shipping as well) but fast and convenient. They have an outlet in United Square.

Oh dear. I hope A will recover fast from her rashes and all. Baby's skin regenerate very fast so lets hope she will get back her baby smooth skin in no time.

Work
I need to face this reality come 26th June. In fact, I have to start with attending a half day workshop on the 24th June. Sigh. As much as I want to go back to being more mentally stimulated, the sheer thought of morning logistics (sending baby to parents and #1 to school and getting to work ON TIME) and pumping woes (need to pump 2 times at work but with the numerous meetings etc, really don't think this is possible everyday).

Plus I teach so I need to leave so early n my first day at work will be his first day at cc! I really have no idea how he n I are gg to cope. Haha.... #2 stays home as we are living off in laws. Till we move later part of the yr. but I m sure, np matter how tough, we can overcome it!
