Oh and help please. Don't anyone know where to buy or can lend me a pretty formal dress for baby A? We are attending a wedding this Sunday and all her dresses are casual! The nice ones are too small or way too big. Don't want to spend too much as it will be one time wear only.

Just went to Petit Bateau... love love love the whole range. Can't wait to shop big time in France. And guess what, I managed to squeeze in 1 night in Paris. Whoopee!

Hey mummies who PM me about breastfeeding handsfree on the My Brest Friend. I have not taken pic yet, and doubt will do it today as both of us are quite indecently dressed haha. But here's my tip: position baby as close to your body as possible, baby should be on her side, and sit such that your boob is hanging over her face. I'm doing as as I type with both hands. I even eat sometimes when she is in this position.
 
More help needed mummies. Does anyone has a small formula milk tin (400g) that they can pass to me during the sleep workshop or tomorrow at HV?
My milk powder comes in packets so I need to transfer to a small tin to bring on board.

if my boob is hanging over her face, then would her head be in line with her spine when feeding, or her head would be tilted upwards? I have difficulty adjusting the height of my brest friend

Pei, maybe lean forward a little so your boob is essentially dangling over her. Then she can open her little mouth and 'catch' it. Her head tilts upwards just a little or is in line with her spine. Whatever works for you.

Oh dear.....think you have to take it easy. Asked your hubby to help if you feel really pek chek.

e momz mus hav waited keenly to capture these magical moments...

jus a thot on this EASY method...itz only a suggestion...most imptly we hav to anticipate bb's cues n not follow blindly...while we all wan e easy way out, uninterrupted sleep but i guess w/o e hardship of waking up, they wont b bbs...bear in mind their bodies r very diff frm us...personally, my body oredi gets used to waking 3-4am in e morning...n abel seems an early boy too...like wanz his feed frm 5-7am...ultimately...don force it on ur bb...if it works, great! If not, therez nothing wrong w ur bb too...e problem w such mtds r they tend to generalize, leaving those momz who try but fail rather discouraged...

tuskywoollie, good point. I realise some of the babies here are only 8 weeks old. Mine is closer to 12 weeks so don't compare too much.

But looks more chinese, just her skin that is like ang mo.

Her name is Axxxx so I call her Baby/Little A on the forum. Lazy to type full name as it has an accent on one of the letters.

Just collected her passport in the arvo. Does anyone know why they want separate passports for babies now? The lady we collected from checked that her face matched that in the passport. I was thinking that babies look quite similar, what's the point of doing that?

how about going to relish tomorrow for lunch instead. They have ladies special, free dessert wth every main ordered. Yummo ones like cheesecake, moist chocolate cake, sesame paste with ice cream etc. The signature wild rocket burger is my favourite. A burger + free dessert at about $15+. And their burgers are really de-lish!

Re: sleeping through night
Caton was on 2hrly feed of 100-110ml the whole of yesterday during day since 7am till 10pm! I'm stressed cuz got to catch up with the pumping to meet his demands, as he's depleting the fresh reserves fast and I don't want to touch the frozen ebm. Besides drinking, he's also fidgeting a lot and couldn't sleep long, merely cat nap a while and cried for attention liao. Me and maid were completely exhausted by the end of the day. But thank God, he was able to sleep through from 10pm till 5am!!! It was us that got so worried that we kept on waking up to check why he didn't wake up for feed. Usually he would drink 1-2times in the middle of the night. I hope that the sleeping through habit can continue.
 
ew, A's cradle cap is getting worse and when I tried to pull out the bits of flaky skin, clumps of hair came out too! Anyone going to/have shorn off baby's hair?

yah he didn;t mind, much to my surprise. I thought he would want to put on the hood but it turned out he was ok with it. I think he has been raring to try seeing how baby always fall asleep in it when I put her in my pikkolo. He was simply amazed too, he couldn;t stop kissing the top of her little sleepy head yesterday. Really cute.

I think your explanation/brief of the baby whisperer method is excellent. That pretty much summed up the gist of tracy hogg's method.

you must remember to do it only when he is alert and in a good mood. Never never try when your baby is in a irritable mood yah? And if he gets cranky halfway, stop immediately. GD's method is all about play time so it's impt that bb associates cards session with playtime.

My bb smiles when I flash them. There have been occasions when she even tried reaching out for the cards. hehehe
 
alfafa Relish is even better for me. I can walk there. and craving a strawberry cheescake right now! Gonna have to da bao half my burger home though. It's so filling.

yah I was think the same. Plus I am craving the wild rocket burger ... yum yum. Really? I wolfed down one by myself usually. hahaha but then I tend to eat less during lunch. Maybe I can ta bao home as well.

this is the time when baby's hair will fall off, some pple will shave it all off coz baby may get patches of bald spots, dun think i will shave all off, unless if it's really ugly! the bad news is: this is also the time when mummies' hair will start to drop too! horrors!

I did shave all of Brianne's hair for Tai Mao Bi.
her scalp also got flaking skin. i did check with PD. he said its ok..

i clean her head with cool boiled water then i apply olive oil.

in Mrs Wong's book, she did mention about dealing with cradle cap.
 
pumpkin - u need empty tin yes? if yes i can pass to u. im finishin up the friso comfort. so by the time we meet. jus in time to pass to u the empty one. hee. i threw the earlier ones away le. =P Baby A also has cradle cap? So does Kirsten.. but ive been a bad mummy... peeling it all the time... quite shiok to peel la.. LOLOL! but her hair doesnt come off together... hmmm... do u use the cradle cap shampoo? i do... am thinking if i shld apply the steroid the PD gave me on her scalp... previously i only applied on her eyebrows... nt sure cn put on scalp or not...

feel so much more comfy using this carrier as compared to the balboa & baby rock! Ergo no need to say la... i might sell it off... haii.. Kirsten just doesnt like it... oh well... maybe when she gets bigger =P she sleeps in this.. only thing is... if too tight i feel that squashing her body.. if not tight, her head keeps on bouncing on my boobies -_-" i guess that bouncing helps her to get to sleep.. AHAHAHA!
 
i got my baby whisperer today frm Harris! will read it tmr ba... hahahah tired... so tempted to join all u yummy mummies tmr.. but i think pass.. need to slack at hm... brought Kirsten out on Monday & Tuesday le... time to rest... Thursday going out again... plus you all meet quite early la... LOL... i dnt knw how im going to get up when i go back to work... haha...
 
hi missycandy, e carnival connecta looks darn lovely on u...i ordered e Olive lacework pattern not e typical popular ones but i like itz uniqueness...when i get it, will try it on w bb n share e pic lol...

one gd thing is tat such carrier maximizes skin on skin contact...bbs feel safe w our smell n skin...so they sleep real fast...

my bb very time very gek due to wind wind oh no in stomach, his face jus has rashes popping out...then i jus apply lotion n e next day, he ok liao...his weird version of anger rashes...haha...

do u use ur stroller then? i had a Graco stroller but my cousin says itz jus too heavy for me to lug it ard...dunno why my hb n mil choose this heavy duty stroller...taz why i end up getting a sling now for bb n later a carrier...dunno if i shld get a lighter stroller when i hand him in the care of my mom while i back @ work...?

e flashcards...where did u all buy? effective? really wan to maximize his wide eyed moments too...he is starting to blabber liao so better keep him busy...can recommend?

Jus a cool thot...why don someone come out w a common FB? *Oredi mentioned by 1 mom n come out w a Hall of Fame for all BB stars...then when they grow up, they kinda know how they loook like n how their moms bond in their growing years...? Some1 really FB savvy lor...
