mummies.. haiz.. been quite super shagged.. been reading silently.. but dun post so much
alfafa.. hope all gets better and yup i was even depressed when i gave birth at that time and mil also needs his help as they were gg thru a bad phase as well... mil & fil gg thru divoce.. haiz long story.. here i was just gave birth and she too needs him to be here and there... bro in law was giving problems... all dun like his fiancee.. haizzz... .. will read posts once more and reply..

Nursing room:

Tangling mall- basic, decent deco has 2 seperate rooms w door for private bfeeding. Has hot water, regular sink and basic changing table. Spaciuos enough for 4-5 strollers in it.

think my medela is a bit noisier than usual. If there's something wrong with it, is there a telephone number to call and check? or send in for servicing or something? Man, i wouldn't know what to do if it konks out in bali? and with no baby around....unimaginable...

don worry abt the playmat. i tink tts the best offer those BP sellers can offer right now. coz theres 3 sellers selling the same thing lor. and the playmat cost price is alrdy quite high..

Mommies, miracle! Haha, last night bb Trishelle slept from 11pm to 6am!! Woo hoo! No feeds in between. Happiness. The last time she did this was last wk. Hope she can repeat this. But might be because she didn't sleep the whole day from 2pm to 11pm Haha. At most a 15min nap. the last time she could zzz through, also didn't zzz at all for the day time. Woo. Sometimes she zzz a lot, sometimes can go without sleep.. Haha. Hope she settles in soon!
Moms whose bb on Fm, how much and many hrly do u give bb? Thinking of intro Fm to her next wk liao Hoho. She's coming 3mths.

for the EASY method, how long is the A suppose to be? My gal is always sleeping now.. day and nite... sometimes she refuses to sleep at nite.. so I am not getting enough sleep. Trying to train her back again but this time i wanna make is flexible so that when i come back to Singapore, it is easier to retrain her. My previous method was based on daylight and darkness.. something I wanna avoid cos daylight here is getting later and later. Plus when I get back to work, I wouldnt want her to sleep at 7 pm, prefer 9 pm so that i can interact with her a bit before she sleeps.. Else sound as if everyday I just bring bb home to sleep nia.

Do help me ask abt bb sleeping for time difference... Really tough.. I wish i could attend the sleep workshop. Startingwork a week after I return to Singapore, hopefully that's sufficient time for me to retrain bb!
 
Heh... I have finally got over my jet lag... Was so tired since i came here until i lost my appetite.. Lost 2 kg already within a week.. No mood to eat even when I am hungry.. sometimes i dream of getting food to eat but so tired that i am stuck in bed. Finally got over it yesterday and gain a bit of appetite.. and got down to unpacking my luggage stuff... plus planning for long weekend trip this week.. kekeke..

Unfortunately, bb is still not used to sleeping at nite, though she seems more settled now.. not so cranky liao.. I think me very unfortunate, my bb had growthspurt same time as my flight... her head seem to become bigger overnite when i arrive.. no wonder she was a milk monster in the flight!

excited about later gathering... even Favian too..this morning woke up real early and seems so excited..ha..blabbering away...wondering subconsciously is he realising I am bringing him out to play...

Finally manage to take a smiley photo of him.. fortunately we have digicam in this era..cos I think I took like 20 shots to get one clear one..cannot imagine the previous era that use negatives..no wonder I don't have much baby pics...ha...

Anyone up for HV or Relish tomorrow?

Wheelock changing room is very basic (sink and change table)but it's clean and has 2 chairs for breastfeeding with small table in between. In future, if just 2 mummies going out, you can buy a drink and sit inside for a while.
 
Mummies, anyone has recommendation for a stroller that's easy to fold/unfold, lightweight etc.? I'm looking at Maclaren, Quinny. Thinking of using it when travelling and easy to handle singlehandedly.
 
Jazmin, MacClaren would be best as it's light and folds like an umbrella stroller. Quinny Zapp fold into this little rectangular thing and has only one recline. The other models are too bulky.

Hi Jasmin,
I'm using Maclaren Techno XT Stroller. Personally I think 2008 model is heavy for me to "carry". It is good in term of got suspension and wheels smooth & easy to push around. Note default it doesn't come with guardrail.

You might want to look at Combi as they are usually small & light. I like the model which comes with "bicycle stand" to help park the pram.

My opinion only...

Oh haha. Cos I was lucky that my sis-in-law passed me her Avent manual and Medela mini Electric. Both did not work well for me. And then I tried PIS in TMC parentcraft. And I bought Medela swing.

Kat: Oh ya Medela mini electric is a bit noisy if noise level might be a concern for eg, if u need to pump with baby in the same room.

koala: Haha. Chloe looks so cute. same same. Sometimes my baby also sleeps with the mouth open big big.

Poo: My baby also poos green or yellow poo several times a day.

Irene: Wow. Envy. Your boy can sleep on his own in the cot.

missycandy: Lately my boy is also super cranky. Feed and change finish, still scream-cry with tears very often. Worse is he seems to cry more when hubby or I carry him. Seldom cry when maid carries him... *wipes a tear*

re: Fussing with bottle teat
You might want to check if the teat hole is too small, cause my boy also fusses previously and we realised that it's because the teat hole is too small & he can't suck much milk out. Changed all his teats to stage 2 since week 5
 
mummies envy u gals that u all started to wear bra so early..i knew that need to wear so breast not sag but really feel more troublesome wearing bra to feed bb and my ma was telling me dun need to wear since i at home.

but after 2 months plus my breast sag so much i scare now then start to wear bra (but think too late liao)

anyone also nursing but not wearing bra?? or i am alone

Alamak! My maid is ambidextrous. She can carry baby on either her left or right arm. Hubby and I are more comfortable with baby's head on our left arms. Now we have to follow maid's pattern.

Yesterday hubby carried him on his right arm til he sprained his back.

I carry him on my right arm til my left thumb numb...

starflower, ya marissa doesnt wakes up for feed at nite but her timing is still not stablize. Sometimes will wake up at 5 plus - 7 plus but she will drink and then fall right back to sleep and wake up 3 hrs later. Babywise method suggests that you should keep to a routine of feeding like every 3hrs. Tten use the Eat, activity(play), sleep method during the day. Means after feed in the day, you shd keep baby awake at least for a while to play and then allow her to sleep. For the last feed, you just feed and then let her sleep. The routine will probably takes some time to set in.

Scrumpee, just slowly increase baby's intake. My baby is now 13th week and at 8th week she was also just drinking 100ml. I also realise that as baby drinks more, i can stretch her drinking interval to 4hrs.

Tom will be bringing baby for her 5-in-1 jab, praying that she will not have fever.

don wear underwire bra. Not comfy & can cause blk ducts. I never wear underwire since mid part of pregnancy.

Re manual vs electric pump:
My cousin who used both Avent manual & Medela PIS feels that Avent drains milk better, but of course PIS easier on the hand. I also use both b4 and I think its probably true as well. But me having so much milk to use manual is really really tiring. If using dual, can still use one hand to hold both bottles and the other hand to massage boobs while pumping.

Agreed that it can cause blocked ducts cos it happened to me! Even tight tube bras also cannot...

Carrier
Today tried out the china brand carrier my mum got for me. Gal gal loves it, even slept in it. But got a question, for mummies who bring bb out alone, can you eat with your bb sleeping in the carrier?

I think our bbs ard same age right? Joyce just turned 8 wks old and since last sun she has been super cranky, will scream when she wanna sleep and just won't settle despite all the singing, rocking etc. This morning she was cranky again so we brought her out for her walk and she is really gai-gai queen, step out of the hse only she stopped wailing.

ya I am praying too... Favian is sleeping now.. I praying for him to drink his feeds near going out time so he won't be cranky later and I need not bring so much things... :p
