re: playmate
hope you guys saw my earlier posts about playmats? Anyway, World of Korea came back with the same offer and no more. That $238 with delivery is the lowest they can go; it is in fact $20 cheaper than their previous BPs and than what's offered by Small Small WOrld which was the original authorised seller. Without delivery is $233 per piece. As mentioned, it'll be better for us to split up and order on our own esp since the diff is only $5. Someone please feel free to pick up the baton and try for a better deal if the mommies still want to combine orders. I'm just really tied up at the moment.
Thanks Starflower, pumpkin, Koala,
myh goodness our usual sunday family dinner in my IL's place turned out to be a mini soap opera yesterday. Think my MIL was in a mild depression over my FIL's irresponsible way of managing his pwn affairs, so much so that she fell ill. The thing is, she wrapped her entire self up in a blanket and ddespite her high fever, absolutely refused to see a doc. Because she was all wrapped let us even take her temperature, her son (my hubby) and daughter panicked and my hubby even teared. They tried begging her, scolding her, pressurizing her (my hubby said he would refused to go home until she gets up to go see a doc), talking to her ... none worked. Wah lao, major drama.
Meanwhile my FIL was in his usual self-denial mode insisting that it was his workshop that cocked up. Long story but this is basically the 4th accident that my FIL has gotten into over the last 12 months. So we are sure NTUC has already put him in their little black book somehow which means they will be actively looking for any reason possible to drop his policy. And indeed, that's what they have just done. My totally irresponsible FIL tried to hide the lawyers' letters by passing them on to his workshop friend to help read and follow through on the case. HIs workshop friend sat on the 1st lawyers letter. This friend however, did follow up on the 2nd lawyer's letter instantly but my silly FIL changed his hp no and didn't tell anyone ... so no one could reach him. Not the workshop nor NTUC. And just because of that NTUC dropped his case i.e. good luck to you basically. Inclusive of lawyers' fees we are looking no less than $20k plus. Worse thing is that my FIL is not even taking responsibilities for it.
Waaaaaa my hubby and his elder bro (didn't come last night) are so fuming mad. They want him to quit driving a taxi (he's in his 60s and has bad eye sight) amongst other things. Tomorrow my hubby still needs to bring him to the Meet-the-people session for the 2nd time. My hubby is really stressed up over his family issues right now, which was why he couldn't take his mom's antic yesterday and broke down. aaaaaaaaaaiiyooooooo his family is no unlike mine I tell ya. I've noticed that from the start. Everyone of us, esp my mother (ok maybe not my dad), is very fiercely independent. Their family, except for the elder bro, is very reliant on one another. Even my hubby is not the independent type.
Aiiiiiiiii sorry for my rant but I've never seen a family drama unfold before my eyes before. And seeing my MIL behave like this gave me quite a scare.
