ooo true... im going jb next friday... thats the tentative plan.. but hearing abt the new immigrations from my dad and how complicated it is to walk and stuff.. nt sure if wan to go in already... we dont drive la.. hehehehe... but go in next week to buy... dunno can keep so long or not... will need to keep for ard 20days wor... hmmm
p3pp3r, usually they will give you the bb asap to stimulate quicker milk coming in and the beginning milk is called colostrum, which all mommies have de. So the latching on asap is very impt for them to get that colostrum and to stimulate so that milk will come in faster. Even if no milk, they just suckle also good.

ehh my usual gp did offer... but we havent really looked into that option? there is a PD near our plc as well as recommended by a friend who stays near us and brings his son there.. but have been told quite expensive... so not sure yet...

3 in 1 virus attack (diahorrea, vomitting and fever). it took her 2 weeks to recover.
so if posible, do bf as long as one can. i intended to bf for 1 yr at least for my no#2 too.

now can even sing and speak in some sentence. she is a dec 06 toddler.

but the staff told us to register only from feb onwards. so still got vacanY as kids come in and out...

during bf time, dun wear those bra with metal one, it will introduce block duct. best is not to wear anything..haa that's my case when
i am at home. I just tied a knot on my t-shirt and use 2 handerchief and plc onto my shirt loh to support milk leak.
i only got block duct after return to work due to long extension of not pumping cos can only pump at lunch time and ta han until 7pm when I reached home.
true, we are like walking bottle. but my gar dun want to latch on after I return to work cos my milk fast not so fast as b4. also she bit me too.

hi gals, long time no post le... went for my appt tdy n bb was weighing abt 1.1kg at 27wks6days... had pinkish discharge last few days thus worried m went for my appt earlier...kana infection agn...before preggy,nvr got any before now twice already..m also using panty-liner everyday cos scared of discharge... everything else seemed normal..

afcai - no problem... hahaha ya im actually quite big n heavy... im 1.7m... plus i do have heavy bones =P plus my fats... hahaha... thats why how sometimes ppl see me is duno whether im fat or pregs... so never offer seat to me lor!!! but i think tummy is showing more recently... taxi uncles can tell im pregs... i actually also limited myself to not more than putting on 10kg... dont wish to hit 90kg mark... my frn hit it... she went into 100+kg!! damn scary... and i dont wish to ever hit that... now she is not losing the weight... not that she is putting in any effort also... -_-" eating supper daily... doesnt exercise... nua all the time... and not working... heh... hmmm actually ive been fat ever since 10yrs old... hahaha.. when i was young i was small and fast runner! but once i hit 10... become round and pudgy... cldnt lose the wgt ever since... once i lost til 60kg during early poly days... but kena scolded by parents becos i look like skeleton... im rather broad shouldered and big sized.. so too skinny also cannot... =P ideal weight i guess shld be ard 65ba...

must highlight to all mummies.. make sure do proper confinement... my frn didnt have anyone to do it properly for her.. plus she also didnt really look after herself so now suffering.. she gave birth end Jan 08... now she has thyroid... on top of that, she cnt walk properly becos kip of complaining of pain at the heels of her feet... so she limps after awhile of walking... see her quite poor thing la... but she also never look after herself properly... anyhow eat.. and never put in effort to lose weight... when i see her... i really feel very motivated! i will really look after myself during confinement and really eat properly... plus try to lose weight... but of cos not compromise my BF supply as well my bb lo... =P must make effort to look good so hubby still feel attraction u knw? =P

jasmin - ive gone for the maternity tour at Mt A... actually nth much to see la... jus show u the diff rooms and the nurseries we jus stand outside to see... and also see delivery room... thats abt it... hee hee...
im optin for Mt A becos i prefer the environment there... =) its really ur own preference
but if u r optin for 4 bedder, i suggest TMC... the TMC layout for 4 bedder is Squarish... so you get "ur own corner" whereas for Mt A, its L shaped... so the lucky person will only be the one who gets the corner to herself... the other 3 beds are in a row... if kena the middle then sian... hehehe

i would like to try MS one. but like u said TBP is easier as it has MRT station, no need to walk so much. even though i drive, i dun think by feb, it will be easy for mummies to drive with the super big tummy.

Happy New Year mummies and mummies-to-be! I am a shopping enthusiast but find it difficult to walk long distance nowadays coz soles become sore and sometimes tummy even hardens. Anyway, just to share some tips abt saving $$$:
Cot mattress - thot of buying BBSafe latex at first but my friend told me she has used both latex and normal foam for her two kids before but found no real diff except for the price!
Breast Pump - my SIL says can buy 1-2 mths after bb arrives..and better to test out the demo sets to see which brand/model suits you.
Pram/Stroller - I see my 5 mth old niece being carried around all the time (maybe coz she is at infant care all of weekdays..so parents prefer to carry her whenever possible) when out rather than on a pram so I figure I'll wait couple mths after bb arrives then let her 'choose' the model she likes.
Infant Care Centre - I secured a place at Cherie Hearts Harbourfront coz near my home & workplace. Unfortunately they are full till Q4 next year. But I realized the deposit is cheaper than some other centres.
BB toiletries - I followed the recomm from this thread and bot lots from Cheong Choon @ Upper Cross St. Prices pretty decent I suppose. I even bot the 100% cotton crib cover and bumper there. Heard from the boss that no point getting the 6 piece set from Aussino/Dept store if not using the pillow/bolster/comforter. SIL also told me bb won't need these for first couple mths.

i actually saw fireworks from my balcony window last night... but its fireworks from JB... LOL! plus, by the time i actually thought of video-ing it, it was gone... i too slow laaa it was actually for a good 10mins or so... plus i think their timing a bit ahead of us ah... becos their fireworks were blasted before our chn 5 & 8 counted down... weird... then can hear my neighbours asking time already meh? havent ma... hahaahahaha...

for breastpump demo, can contact BMSG. I personally went to the demo and found that Ameda pump which cost half the price of the Medela PIS, have abt the same function of PIS. So made up my mind in getting the Ameda.
The lady at BMSG mentioned that Ameda brand is not widely advertised as Medela, that's why not much people know about it.

Did anybody experience <font color="ff0000">heartburn</font>? I start to get heartburn after meal. Recently burped out some acidic juice. So, gynae give medicine to ease heartburn. Gynae also advised me to cut down on sugar, salt and starch to reduce <font color="ff0000">swelling</font>.

No lah, not mastitis for 4 months. I developed mastitis when baby was about 4 months old. The cracked nipple must have allowed entry of bacteria hence causing the mastitis. The crack was so bad that using bm will not work. Trust me, I did it Anyway, I perservered in bf-ing even with the mastitis and I think that helped clear the ducts quite fast.
I didn't wear wired-bras as I am fully aware of its ability to cause blockage of ducts. However, I did return to work after 2 months and pumping time was affected whenever there is a long-winded meeting.
