I think I crazy shopping. My sis just call me telling me Metro got warehouse sales, getting her to buy CROCS shoes for my gal as now they have 50% off for limited designs. The baby fair got lots of stuffs. Depend on what you want on get 1st. Just buy those necessary stuff 1st like milk bottles breast pad if you intend to BF infant pillow clothes etc... Like electronic product by at a nearer date.
 


So early buy baby things? Don't know got any space to put. Will dusty also.

Hope stick to 3 mths maternity leave, wait the employers don't want to hire married women, if increase the leave, since 3 mths already make noise. Hope got more benefits like school fees got discount.

I can't go that far, thats why my sis help me buy the crocs hehe... wanted to buy from BP but not original so never buy. Now is a good chance to buy that cheap. Those who is interested can go and grab... Happy Shopping...

Heehee, I bought neither. I let #1 sleep on queen size mattress placed on floor and used play yard to go around it as the perimeter, so that he won't fall out from the bed and disturbed his sleep and he enjoys opening the plastic door to his bed every night. He's still using it till now.

But with #2, i headache where to place the baby. Cuz we would like to put baby in own room from young and if placed same room as kor kor, afraid would wake kor kor up as babies tend to cry for milk several times a night. But if another room, then already got a bed then and felt not safe to put on bed.

My EDD is now 14 Mar 09, BB is 9w old ler. Gynae say this time round is more accurate than last round as BB is more visible and pic is clear on the scan machine. Kindly help me update ok? Thanks.

BB is more stable now, I can reduce my Duphaston to twice daily...Yeah!!! Hope then I wont feel so nauseas that often now. I just need to complete another 8 days Duphaston and Dr. says I can stop ler. So Happi!!! BB is now 2cm, can see the little hands and legs today. Head to body ration is 1:1...Big Head is So Cute...

I'm off duphaston too! I'm so glad I don't have to take it anymore. I was constantly worried that I'll forget to take it, and now that hassle is gone. Now can I focus on my multi-vit and folic acid

Sorry for the late reply. Take 8 July (Your ovulation day) and count till Monday (your last gynae's visit) and you get exactly 28 days, which means your fetal's age should be 4 weeks.

Then, you have to add an average of 2 weeks (time from start of period to ovulation day) to fetal age and you should be in the 6th week of your pregnancy.

But not to worry, just go with your gynae calculations for now. Baby's growth progress can vary and as you move along in your pregnancy, gynae will be able to get a more accurate age of your baby

I was thinking of putting baby on mattress on the floor too, cos I'm afraid of falls. I guess the problem like someone mentioned earlier is that, baby will be active and used to the freedom of crawling about and will be difficult to 'cage'.

'cage' the bb by closing the room's door... then cannot crawl about anywhere except the room?

I am more concern that the bb might be too used to sleeping on floor with mattress. Not very good.

I've not upgraded my boy to sleep on bed yet. dunno whether he would reject or not. Right now, he still flip here and there when sleeping, so afraid that sleep on bed he would fall down.

Those of you having maid, where does maid sleep? with your bb or maid sleep in her own room?

been feeling very uncomfortable yesterday and today... dunno why... feel like something stuck in my throat... feel hungry... want to eat but when i eat no appetite liao... thirsty... drink but at night keep going toilet... jus feel really queasy and unwell overall... cant wait for Monday to see my gynae...

i feel very edgy... is it becos of duphaston? hmmm...
 
Gosh, Everyone's watching NDP on TV...My Mum and dad don't want dinner early...Alas! Managed to persuade them and meeting them in 30 mins time for dinner! I have been waiting for dinner since 6 pm... Arghhh... A hungry woman is an angry woman...needless to mention a hungry pregnant woman. Hahahaha.

Just came out of the bath room, was looking at myself just now naked in my dressing room...saw some greenish veins on my busts! OMG...*faint* looks like bruised breasts...Is this normal??? Any Mummies also have these??? Or are they the result of my tight bras???
 
i think ur boobies are starting to grow and stretch ? hmmm more to come??? so much we have to go thru to have a baby... i have a bad bad feeling that i will have very very bad MS... which will probably start next week or the week after... im starting to get queasy... and feeling very uncomfortable... hard to describe... will have to speak to my gynae on monday...
 
missycandy, how many wks are you now? i guess we have to endure through our first trimester. I still have 2 more wks to go, can't wait for my first trimster to end..

gingal, hmm... are ur boobies growing fast? I have increased abt a cup bigger since i preggie.. but so far okay, jus feel sore esp every morning when i wake up. Remember to buy bra extension or new bras so that you don't squeeze ur boobs too tight.
 
Hi, I am new in this portal. recommended to this portal by a good friend of mine. It my first pregnancy and i am 7 weeks pregnant as of today. My Gynae, Dr. T.C. Chang from Thomson Medical Centre told me that my EDD is at 31 March 2009.

thanks Gingal.. How many weeks are you now? my boobies feel sore and swell during week 5 but not as much now. i started having insomnia since 2nd august till now, hungry but no appetite to eat. I used to be a food lover.. but food does not entice me now..keep forcing myself to eat for the sake of eating my regular meals.

 anyone had the same symptoms?

I'm at 9 weeks now. We all can't sleep well these days too...and most of the time due to frequent "half-times" to get out of bed to pass urine. 1st 2 weeks after i discovered i was preg, i lost appetite too, gradually as my body get used to the pregnancy, I'm beginning to start craving food again. your lack of appetite, is it due to MS?

Not much sore for me. Front not very big. Hope it's normal. Since the spotting, wonder is bb still there. But have to wait to see gynae.

Touch wood... i did read in a baby encyclopedia that Spotting: light bleeding does not necessary mean that something is wrong, but do consult your GP to get assurance, don't wait.. and take good care of yourself..
 
i already got a big belly that i flash alot during my bellydance performance and in class..and i don't think mine is growing yet.. cos my gynae says my baby is only 5.5mm when i did my scan on 7th August.

though my clothes are tighter.. i think its the fats not the baby at this stage.. but i kiasu.. i started buttering my belly... don;t want to get stretch marks.. i will look ugly in my bellydance costume.

Welcome & congrats! I am 10wks now and like you, was a food lover. I always imagined that I'd be gorging on food if I become preggy but who knows I've lost my appetite now, even at the yummiest food

Tho I've lost about 2kg, but physically I still look the same. I wonder when our tummy will start to show?

My boobs have definitely increased in size, and the tight bra is making me so uncomfortable most of the time...
 
hi sandy..wow!! 10 weeks.. i think at that time.. my hubby should be in town already. i am waitning for him for my next scan, he keeps telling me that if i can wait, for him will be ideal. He is traveling a lot, one month on the oil rigs and one month in Singapore. really need to work on the time that he can attend pre-natal classes with me.. I don't even know if he will be with me when i go into labour. tummy will start to show in 4th mth i think, but diff ppl diff.. my gf is very slim.. so hers is not obvious
 
Hi Lenny, I've not seriously thought about attending prenatal classes yet cos from what I heard from my friends, you completely forget everything once you're in labour heehee...

Oh so your hubby wasn't able to be with you during your first visit? fyi, i'm only taking folic acid & the multi-vits prescribed by my gynae.
 
yep.. i went with my mum instead. as for supplements, i am taking the folic acid that we get from Pharmacy (5mg) each tablet and my GNC Pre-natal Multi-Vitamins plus Vitamin C. if ur multi-vits has vitamin A.. ensure that its the non toxic type and dosage should not exceed 10,000IU. I amplanning to take DHA in the later part of pregnancy too.. for development of bb's eyes and brains.

actually my diet is not healthy, so i took GNC's Pre-natal Multi Vits and DHA to get my body ready. i had been taking them for more than 2.5 mths before i found out that i was pregnant.

so hopefully what i take is sufficient for my baby.

Haha....think i was the one who mention that cannot cage my son in baby cot, coz he so use to sleep in mattress once log him inside babycot to do some works he will cry and make alot of noise.

Welcome & congrats to you. I don't think i will attending any prenatal classes coz i very lazy and too tired to attend also. :p

Haiz....me feel quite hungry most of times but no appetite too. My tummy is showing so big like i am 6 mths pregnant. My 1st pregnancy, my tummy was so small even when i was in 7 mths. Now showing so fast already.
