My hubby and I decided not to do the OSCAR test for Down Syndrome as I will not abort regardless. I don't want to create the unnecessary anxieties of knowing either.

I will do the check for down-syndrome at one hospital but decide to give birth some other hospital.

Your package sounds reasonable. It's up to you to take the test really if you need to know. If you're under Age 30, it's considered very low risk of Down Syndrome.

When i had my #1, after i took my bloodtest my gynae show me the result. There are a graph and he told me that I not fall into the low risk category.

hello... was tryin to avoid posting here til ive gone for my gynae appt to scan but i cnt tahan anymore! arGh! i did hpt for past few days...wahaha! kiasu... faint line present daily... monday was darker... also took my blood test and came back with very high result so i should be preGs. =)

its my #1 . i hope to have a Boy... then followed by a girl... either way, as long as baby is healthy we all happie... heee

my symptoms include very very very sore boobs after ovulation for 1-2weeks... currently still sore but not as painful as previous weeks... also keep having cramps... which according to the nurse at my gynae's clinic claims is normal... only assurance is nil bleeding seen.. *phew*

hubbs has nt much reaction yet... even after showing him strips and all that... blur king... he says to wait til see gynae... and he will be going with me.. *EXCITED*

my gynae visit is on 4th Aug. i cnt wait to see the peanut! weee!

i jus went thru the list of things that r bad for us to eat and good... its like practically everything that tastes delicious cannot be eaten lo.... pure torture leh! =\ mus ask my gynae when i see him... but for now wil try to control diet... but i lurvveeeee spicy food & chilli =(

The nuchal translucency is only 85% accurate, OSCAR is 90% accurate. But the cost of OSCAR is around $300. Either way, you'll never be 100% sure, so why make yourself worry? I think our age is a better indicator.

8am breakfast - 2 pcs of sara lee cake, 1 milo
i got hungry at 10am - so i had cornflakes and fresh milk..
and i got hungry at 11am

every morning i wake up at 3am to munch biscuits/1 pc of bread...

anyone sharing the same fate as me?

i am 8 weeks preggy, and if i dont eat, i get super nausous and though i dont puke most of the time, i feel like i want to puke and burp air...

Yes, I'm also 8 weeks+ have been snacking more than usual but I think too tired to wake up at 3am to munch! But I do think about food alot throughout the day and thinking about my next meal! I feel like a pig! haha

i also feel very tired to have to wake up in the middle of the night, but if i dont eat, i get nauseous and cant sleep...what a nitemare!

I am also about 8 weeks. Each day eat 5 meals. After a few munch a bit very full.. few hours later hungry. Eat again. Feel very fat. Sometimes after food, stomach cramp.

Middle of night will wake up by cramp sometimes too. Don't know is it normal. How people cope when working?

Does pregnant people like to crave sour things to eat?

I still prefer sweet taste. Anyone stop eating certain food and keep worrying if the food can affect baby? Heard cannot eat papaya, watermelon etc. Is like suddenly a lot of things cannot eat.

wow..I had just been missing for 2 weeks and I see so many mummies here and took a long time keeping myself updated of the thread...

Just went to the doc on sat and I finally see my baby's heartbeat... heave a sigh of relief and looking forward for my next visit...been having very bad MS for the past two weeks...would get it day and night...I would wake up in the night feeling nausea...the nausea is so bad til I need to get MCs to stay at home...and toilet bowel becomes my gd fren... =( and feeling sleepy all the time...

this week is better though...jus hungry all the time..but when u see food u feel nausea.... at least I dun hug the toilet bowel that often...hopefully I will feel better when I get to the 2nd trimester...

How is everyone doing? any special cravings ? or bad MS...everyone do take care...can't wait to go into the 2nd trimester...been hearing scary stories from my frens abt 1st trimester..its getting me rather stress up...

9pm ate delifrance crossiant with chicken

i feel tt this is not those normal hunger i had b4 pregnant. coz i last time will drink lotsa of water to fill up my hunger. but nwadays, this tactic juz doesnt wrk! hur~~

Boy oh boy, I'm glad I'm not alone! Last week I was able to eat quite healthy food, soupy stuff, veggies, light meals, etc. This week have a lot of craving for salty, fried, spicy and rich meals. But am trying to balance off with lots of fruits. I think that's why I'm having a bit of constipation. I've got zero MS and I've put on almost 1 kg since.

I am thirsty whole day, too. Truth is, I can't eat much in a meal but I think of food constantly. I feel I can eat like a horse, but when I actually eat, I will be filled up quite quickly. So I snack a little in between to satisfy my thoughts. I think the hormones just playing with my mind.

Yup, 1-2kg for 1st trimester is fine. Although, some gals will lose up to 3kgs if they have bad MS. Wish I could lose some weight instead so I can stuff myself silly! Of course, I don't wish for MS... haha

Am in mid of 8 weeks. Still can't feel much of anything different as compared to week 5. But I dreamt a lot in my sleep.

Congrats and hope you are coping well with the MS. What did you hear about that got you stressed? Don't be ya? Actually MS is a good sign that your baby is doing well. Just remember, pregnancy is the easiest part of it all.

Yesterday night i left my an tai pills and FA in living room forgot to kept. Asked my hb to keep inside my bed for me as i wan to sleep already. He actually cannot find it. Now i lost my an tai pills and FA

Don't know how leh.....

Btw my colleagues had help me to buy the Elancyl stretchmark cream from watson. They are still having the offer.

Yes, although you may not feel great, at this point, MS doesn't affect your baby as it will have enough supply from you since it's still so tiny. It's just that you have a surge of progesterone hormones which your body is dealing with it in the form of MS. Although not everyone has MS, which is alright, if you have, it's a good sign. Other good signs are nausea, swollen breasts, fatigue, bloatedness, flatulance, etc. Spotting is not.

It must be still in your home somewhere? If you've stopped spotting, you may not need the Duphaston, but you definitely should continue with your FA, at least till end of 1st trimester.

I hope this time round i will be hardworking enough to apply the stretchmark cream. Last time i was like too lazy and don't believe that i would gt stretchmark so i never go and use much. Regretting now, this time round i must be more persistant. Don't want to look ugly in my swimsuit later on.

My breast are also not that sore anymore. If touch my nipple still will hurt a little too. I hope everything is fine. Hope next tues come faster and go see my gynae.
