Asura, Pseed,
Muak Muak Muak!!! Your travel series and travel tips are a godsend! Even my hubby keeps asking me what other tips you are sharing. Ok ok will do. My insurance agent from AIA will help me settle travel insurance later today. Will be getting Sterimer (nasal spray recommended by Jean) or Sinomarin. Will bring along calendula, avene thermal spray and try to get hold of a mustela cream somehow. Where can I buy that?
Pumpkin,
So many of us miss you! Thanks for your offer re the creams. Don't think I'll get the chance to meet you though cos I am leaving on 2 Oct. You won't be back so soon right?
Northvirgo,
I told my hubby about your story and he kept shaking his head. He says how can the MIL do that? Openly ignore your wishes? Salute!
Strawberry, Yuki, reverie, Tusky, lenny, seabreeze, annmelody .. and so many so many more...
my sympathies. And hats off to you mommies. as if juggling multiple roles is not enough, you still have to struggle with in laws. Aiyo
Reverie babe,
haven't have the chance to get to know you better but my heart hurts for you. You sound like you are really in a lot of pain. Who in the right mind would think of Divorcing when there is a small infant in the picture? for you to be contemplating that option it must be a really really really bad situation. Please please be strong. I know it is easier said than done but please do not act hastily. You do so love your hubby and daughter so much and I'm sure you would never want to break up the family. You are just feeling cornered and thus helpless right now. This is not the real you.
I know it is easy for me to say, but may I humbly suggest that you come out more often. Do not stay cooped up at home, not to mention that it is a home you feel unwelcomed in. I don't even like staying at home and it is a lovely one to boot. Can go mad. Come out. Join us for our gatherings. Or go out on your own as I do sometimes. Just don;t stay at home. If you are not confident of bringing baby out on your own, well babe, now is the time to learn. You have to start somewhere. Go to home gatherings first to build up confidence.
Also, I do echo the other mommies. You might want to have a heart to heart talk with your hubby. I strongly recommend that you guys move out. If money is an issue, then you might want to go back to work. Use that as a bargaining tool with your hubby re the issue of moving out.
Look at it this way, between spending each and every day in misery (which affects your r/s with your hubby, which in turn, affects your baby) AND working full time (which enables you to move out though admittedly, have lesser time with baby), I think the former is a wiser choice.
As missycandy has pointed out, the most important r/s in a family is that of HUSBAND and WIFE, not parent-child. Because if the husband and wife r/s breaks down, no child, no matter how loved by individual parent, will be as happy as one with a complete family.
*hugs*
