I can imagine as much... Since my dotter also screams when I drip the nasal drop in her nose! Me and hb had to hold her head in place so she dun keep moving her head fr side to side!!!

dun worry lah... My mother went for the operation this year to have her womb removed. She was carrying so many fibroids that equal the weight of a fetus! Then started getting back aches and stuff. The operation for her was low risk (cos she dun have any other medical complications like heart problems, etc. only got slight high blood i think). She did however take pretty long (abt 1 mth plus?) to recover fully cos of her age.

my mum, hubby n myself took Flu jab in Feb..but i still have flu after the jab..then i asked GP he said that are million type of flu bug, the flu jab only can prevent some. so dont know if its really considered effective..
my hubby also asked if we should give baby flu jab next mth, since one PD recommended we should give baby esp. now got swine flu! But he will have to take 2 jabs in Jun so i think i will spare him, wait for one more month or so.

must be tough but exciting for you.. i still remember when i was getting huge and still had to carry my #1! having #2 in and out is a totally different experience altogether.. mixed feelings.. wished #2 was inside and less stress but still wanted him out so that can move normally and not like a penguin!

Fabbie, i asked the doctor abt the cause of his stomach flu liao...he said stomach flu is caused by contact with germs, meaning, he can come in contact with germs anytime and anywhere, esp babies at this age tend to put everything in their mouths..as for the prevention, he said good hand hygiene is the only prevention...
Phyl, u have a cat at home right? My doctor suspected that my cat could be the culprit that contributed to his tummy flu, although i keep her in the balcony..how do u isolate ur cat from being too near to ur bb?
Dee..doctor only gave him paracetamol in case his fever comes back...other than that, nothing le..i guess the purpose is to let Jordan's body produce its own immunity to fight with such virus..

Sorry to hear abt ur mom ypg..but don't worry, my grandma went thru the surgery to remove her womb too...she had it when she was already 65, but ur mom is still so young, she can definitely go thru this!

dee.. i think polyclinic will only refer to the specialist in the hospitals.. but to bring him to see hor.. i still need to take leave.. and specialist if not trained in paediatric.. then useless also la.. PD are able to give the age appropriate remedies...

7pkt for $22.80? the one u took is sachet type one izzit? mine one is tablet type, price around the same too... imagine tat time my boy was on 6 mths singulair... one mth supply is $90+ so 6 mths supply cost us more than $500, and it's only one of his medicine!!!

i kiasu, deposit $1k in zayden's CDA i think when he is 1 mth old. all his jabs and rota costs deduct from his CDA.

I hate giving my ger medication. Other than screaming and moving head side to side, medicine will leak fr the side of her mouth! And it just drives me NUTS!

U 'giving away' ur cat? So sad right? Now my hammys are staying outside of my MIL's place... Well there's good n bad... The outside is cooler and now the ham gets fresh food everyday...

it's from my #1.. but bcoz he's been seeing TCM since last year.. and just recently brought him to see PD just to check out what's the prob w/ him consistantly having phlegm.. PD gave no proper answer as usual but gave us many medicine! cheh! we only gave him fluimucil (this can actually get from pharmacy w/o prescription! i wonder if it's the same for singulair) to break up the thick phlegm that he had that time as our TCM doc was away and we couldn't get any chinese med for him..

i find the TCM good.. He specilises in Respitory Problem.. he at clementi and sometimes at circuit road tho..
TCM and western med is different.. tho TCM takes longer time to heal but it treats the cause rather than the symptoms.. but must find a good TCM too else, back to square one and spend more $$..

phyl... me yesterday went to c my co. Dr. & ask about the tamiful... its taken oral, not jab... he say no use.. normal flu jab is better... so we both gg to jab next wk cause need at least one wk for the antibodies to develop.

ladies... there is this super nice mummy who PM me after seeing that i wanted to buy the nebuliser machine.. there is actually a portable one that doesnt need electricity n its easy to use and each application is less that 2mins. She says its a GP but specialises in asthma and bronchitis.. hmm.. i will bring hayden there next monday!!

ya ALL babies eventually know how to clamp their mouths tight when it's medicine time. Later on when they're bigger, they will be ok.
Calista is having a slight running nose too and I can hear phlegm in her throat at times too. Damn it. hate it when they're ill - they get fussy. *sigh*

bur - hannor..thats exactly what my hb n i are thinking...Ginger has been with us for 4 years since she was 3 months old..if we abandon her she can nvr survive outside! There was once she accidentally fell off the balcony, and after searching for 7 hours, we found her trembling and traumatized hiding in a corner..poor little thing, i bet she didn't dare to move at all!

if u got basic theory le, go apply for advanced theory & book driving lessons. depends on whether u wan take sch lessons or wif pte instructor. i took mine wif pte one. hehe. forgot abt price coz i got my licence abt 6yrs back. hehe.

there's actually no need to b frustrated. if bb struggles alot n kick, wrap bb in blanket n place on bed. den u place one arm on bb body gently n one on forehead. so tt leave ur hands free. so one hand hold syringe n d other to squeeze bb cheeks. push meds abit at a time n at the side. if bb refuse to swallow, pinch d nose for a couple of secs n meds will go down.
tt's wat we do at work la. if not, meds wun go down one. =p

there's actually no need to b frustrated. if bb struggles alot n kick, wrap bb in blanket n place on bed. den u place one arm on bb body gently n one on forehead. so tt leave ur hands free. so one hand hold syringe n d other to squeeze bb cheeks. push meds abit at a time n at the side. if bb refuse to swallow, pinch d nose for a couple of secs n meds will go down.
tt's wat we do at work la. if not, meds wun go down one. =p
