Hi mummies,

i need to seek for some advice.

yesterday i go sleep at about 11.00pm. then my husband say he need to rush his project that is very urgent. then i say ok, i go sleep myself.
then i wake up in the middle of the night about 2.15am by a nightmare, i looking for him in the next room, he not inside. i so scare, so i went down and look for him, he never lock the door and gate and he never drove out his car. then i feel so panic already, i go my house coffee shop and other block look for him. i cannot find him, then i give him a call. but he never pick up then i call to his friend, he friend very nice, ask me dun worry and go back first, he will help me call him. his friend call him, also never pick up. then in a while, he call back and say he at coffee shop but when i go there look for him, he not there. he give me a excuse that phone put on the table, cannot hear as phone put slince. then i ask him why you go out middle of the night, he say he hungry so out and eat, then he say he alone only. he confess to me that he go drink beer too. i dun know i feel that he have keep a lot of things to me and you know girl six sense very accuyrate one. he go any where always keep his phone around him.

i now already six month pregnany, and whenever i cry or upset he dun care and he ask me... can you please stop crying. i feel so lost, i have a urge to go aboration. baby things he also never buy.

christine koh - i don't think i'm the best person to advise you. but just to share with you my story...

my husband likes to go out at midnight for like 2 hours or always come back late, eg. 10pm+ to 12mn+. i have to be the one to take care of the baby after work. He always denied smoking and yest i saw him smoking away. when i just married me, he beat me before. i thot it was over, like 3 yrs ago thing. but when my baby is about 1 month old, he hit me again. i did source for lawyer contact ready, coz the next time he beats me, i will file for separation.

when i was pregnant, i consider abortion & adoption; coz he didn't provide much during my pregnancy days. i drew a list of stuff to buy for baby and send to my MIL & SIL and ask them to buy coz my hb refused to do so. now the main bulk of expenses i have to out. i out about $700 and he out about $100. i still kind of regret having my baby, even though lots of pple said he is chubby & cute.

i don't want to have any more kids, coz i don't think i can afford anymore. but he still doesn't really care about contraceptive and i have to take pills (which i dread it partly coz i'm v forgetful). i suggested i go for ligation, but he refuses.

anyway, don't cry too much. pple said my baby is damn cranky coz i was crying everyday during my pregnant days.

maybe ya husband just being stress? and wanted to go out for a drink? Some husbands will be quite stress up when their wife is pregnant. Dun worry. maybe in his job theres stress or whatever. Or maybe if one day u just sit down and talk to him. Asking why is he acting like that?

If u think something is fishy why not just look at his hp lor. for you to be ensure of yourself. or just tell him that u feel unsercure? =) About he didnt buy things for ya baby.. Come on.. my husband also didnt buy anything for my gal too! hehe its not a big deal lar.. till now my gal most of the things is i buy for her. my husband buy for her maybe 5% of it out of 100% lol

Hey all.. ask you all lah. my gal recently showing me how she bite her mouth. im not sure. but she show me as if she's biting something. -___- does it mean she's teething? anyone have started the little brush to brush their baby teeth??

Babbiee spree will be close this sat.. Whoever havent order.. faster order ya. hehe my romper quite limited liao. will try to bring in more rompers for the 2nd batch. ^___^

Bryan also started bitting his mouth and "talk" without opening his mouth. Also, he has acquired the skills of happy screaming during his play :S....I faint man! Imagine he insisted on playing right after his milk feed at 5-6am and if we ignore him, he will continue to play and "happy scream" all the way while "talking" to all his toys!

jowin, y r u so 'fan'?? me not the best person to say this but tink must relax bah when pumping. For me, hard to relax.. after feeding Zach, thought my hb can 'kau tim' him n put him to bed but end up he cry till so 'cham' i hv to rush to the room and sing n pat him to sleep. Hb simply cannot do it.. so pump halfway gotta stop. Then this morning Zach woke up at 4.30am for milk..after feeding him, need to pump another side..again, pump halfway i gotta stop cos Zach need me to pat him to sleep again and hb again cannot help.. haha. so pump 2x onie get 160ml enuf for his 1 feed. Sigh..hope today will be better cos got teacher to take care of him while i pump..

Ooh..i din noe MCYS dont allow antibiotics to be administered to infants leh.. i brought in the antibiotics to IFC todae n fed him myself..teacher say cannot bring it in oso. PD here dun prescribe antibiotics?

Ashlynne also " scream"... infact not scream but ROAR...she will go " AHHHHHHHH".... cos my HB taught her how to " lion roar" at one of the night.. Every now n then.. she starts roaring with her mouth wide opening... She thinks its very fun... so now.. she roar for attention.. roar to her toys...I taught her yesterday.. " You must talk.. u dun roar.. u are not a lion".. hahahahaha!!!!

N she stares at us eating with her little mouth moving . Yesterday i fakely offer her a spoon of congee.. she really lean forward , open her mouth n wanna eat... Faint!! At feeding time.. she sees me with the milk bottle on hand.. if i m abit slower.. she will " eh eh eh" waves her hands excitedly for milk...

I just realise.. she seem like a big girl now.. hahaha... no more an infant..

Ashlynne is so cute, can 'roar' like lion. My girl is also very interested in our food now. She always looks at us when we are eating, and will do 'eating' things like move her mouth, stick her tongue out and suck on her hands. On Friday, I was carrying her in the sling and eating a sandwich, and she kept leaning her head forward, like she wanted to eat my sandwich. Looks so cute. But I have to be careful not to let any food drop near her, in case she takes and puts it in her mouth.

Yah our babies are getting big liao... No more just lying there, drink milk, cry and poo. Can do so many other things now.

yeah yeah..i oso felt that after Zach turns 4months old..he is a big boy. When sitting in his stroller, he no longer wanna lean back..he will sit up and look at others..i took some pix.

Anyone knows which kiddy palace outlet is the biggest and has the widest selection of baby cots? Our cot is from a friend and now she's expecting a year end baby so we gotta start looking around for another one

Oh dear, Zach's rashes look so bad! Glad to hear that he's better. Are you also cutting out cow's milk in your own diet? If you can, you should continue to BF, cos it will protect Zach from more allergies, since he is already prone to it now.

Don't go to the Marina Square one, cos it's quite small. I heard the Toa Payoh one is quite big. I've been to the Jurong Point one and it's quite big as well.

hi to all mummies, recently i read a book - the no-cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley. I found out this book is good if u want to train ur baby or kid to sleep through the night and sleep by their own. all the way she proposed to use is very pratical. especially good for stay home mom to train their baby/kid.

emeraldbride/cindy - i have gone to Seahorse again to source for the mattress. they said there is no such thing as $39.90 mattress. they have a mattress padding at $39.50, but it is not what i was looking for. the one i saw at emeraldbride's house was something like PVC cover mattress with bright yellow background and some designs. any idea what product name etc is it called?

juz, it is a foldable mattress. The color is gold not PVC material. They hv 2 range. $39.90 is the cheaper one and they hv another one at $70 i tink. It is usually stacked near the double-decker bed frame. Can't miss them unless of course it is OOS which happens very very frequently.

Jowin: Are you using the medela pump, coz that happens with me but when I use the avent electric, it seems to get more milk out. like you I dnt have block ducts , but with medela I just can get let down fast enough when I am working... cnt spend an hour expressing.. kekeke

Anybody can give me advise on what should I do..

I feel like quitting my job coz I am worried about my MIL experimenting on my baby.
Last time say want to let randall eat chicken..n yesterday my maid told me that my MIL feed bread to Randall. Somemore tell the maid to keep secret n dun tell me. Already told her many times 4 mths no teeth can choke. Yet she do it n when confronted say can can baby can eat..just let them taste a small piece. Then I ask about a bruise on randall forehead, the maid tell me the my MIL carry the baby until the head got the red bruise. Soemmore my MIL complain to my HB say the maid bully her ask her to fetch towel when the maid is washing my baby bottom. I told my HB lidat also complain...it is just that sometimes the maid forgot the towel n has no more hands to take the towel while washing the baby bottom. Sorry if I sound like venting my anger..haiz.

Will I be too mean if I install a CCTV to watch wat is going on? Coz I don't know what to do. Tell her off n she will be offended n say izit we find her stupid stupid. Very vexed.

JE - My gal of late also hv some rashes on her back and behind her neck/head. I wonder is it heat rash. Applied baby lotion but seems like no effect on the rash leh.

Yah lor one kind ..somemore tell my HB the maid cooking not nice so she only eat white rice with soya sauce on top. Then I question the maid if my MIL really eat plain rice only, she told me MIL ate all the dishes n tell her very nice leh..then my maid even ask her to eat more eat more..now got 2 stories..

Hmm tot of infant care too but that means my maid will have to go leh..my HB sure say this one..then my maid poor thing kena send back to agency..I feel overall she is quite good with the baby n my baby like her also..Should I install CCTV at my house to watch over them?

Tell ur HB to "scold" his mum... its for the sake of Randall too. I yesterday just asked my HB to go n correct his mum over a small little thing... She took a soft toy & taught my girl " horse" , actually its a giffrae lor... Then she shove the pacifer into my girl's mouth by holding the teats

instead of the handle lor.. Plus her nails all black de...

I dun wan to say much.. i bugged my HB to tell his mum...But if anything BIG... i told her right away.. I already warn my HB that i m going to do that for my daughter's sake

Oh ya, since got maid then no point send bb to infant care.. How abt asking ur mum to come & watch over ur mil? kekeke.. If install CCTV, if she knows, tell her it's to monitor the maid. At least she won't feel offended. But then, even if u install, what can u do to stop her fr doing funny things to ur bb?

Kath: No wonder you are so worried... Zach's rashes looked quite bad from the photo. Hope the isomil works. Anyway, schools/childcare are all quite strict on medication being administered to kids. I work in a school and we also received such directives from our mgt & the ministry. Basically, if child needs medication, they prefer that parents do it themselves, probably so that they wont be liable for anything that happens..

Merydith: Oh dear... must really educate your MIL about feeding bbs a solid like bread at this stage.. what if he chokes? No wonder u feel so upset and feel like quitting. Maybe ask your hubby to talk to ur MIL firmly? Sometimes can close one eye but food really has to be careful i think.

jowinbaby - i'm looking for something non-cloth type to put on floor for him to zzz. his current cot mattress has black mould spots coz of all the urine leak or spray. other reason is that his cot mattress is getting too small for him. his pillow touching one end of the cot and with him stretching out his legs is fast approaching 3/4 of mattress. i will check out metro this week. thanks.

Merydith - ur MIL is indeed scary. i don't think cctv will settle the problem. i think it will make ur MIL even more defensive & more daring. if really no choice, try to get ur maid a new owner and send to IFC.

i was once in ur shoe before w/ my #1.. good maid but with interfering MIL who think she's always right and knows all.. she always gives conflicting instruction to maid.. asked maid to keep secrets abt what she did to bb.. putting maid in difficult position.. when HB 'scold' MIL, she said she's not wrong and quickly point finger at maid instead.. in the end, maid cannot tahan and requested to be sent home.. after working w/ us for abt 8mths and taking care of bb for 7mths.. we sent bb to infantcare from then on..
for #2, no questions asked, we send him to IFC.. no conflict, less headache and no worries for me also.. at least at IFC, they don't anyhow..

Dun be rash & quit ur job first. I think u shld monitor the situation, prob stay over durng the weekends to see how she handles ur kid then decide. It can be quite tricky dealing w MILs, I always get my HB to b the bad guy. Not nice for us to tell her off oso ma. I wonder if she's trying to claim credit for taking care of ur boi. Maybe she do all these things to seek attention from ur hubby, wan u all to acknowledge her "hard" work.. hee..

installing cctv will jus give her more excuse to complain n make noise lor.. unless u realli decide to keep randall at hm w maid then cctv will b gd.

Wah today saw the newspaper in singapore another maid abuse the little boy. My mum told me is the boy after bath keep crying and the maid just use her hand to cover his mouth to stop crying. arghz. hate to see those children suffring sia!

fong, i oso itchy each time zach scratches himself..haha.

Last time his rashes will become worse after bathing (more behind neck and back) n i tot he cannot use Gaia so i switch to California Baby oso same..n on off his legs will get rashes too. Recently it became worse and the PD from KL told me it is allergic to cow's milk. So far now his skin is quite good alr..i guess no matter wat breast milk is still the best and i must thank my mom for making soy bean + black bean everyday for me when i was back home..hehe

I think IFC is not ur option now.. cos if no choice, no body would wan their kid in IFC cos they easily get sick n there are irresponsible teachers. I am sure the gals here with child at IFC all experience it n very heartpain too.

Try to solve this problem with ur MIL. I am sure she care for Randall more than those IFC teachers.. She need to be educated. Talk to ur hb seriously over this matter...

If still cannot, really consider IFC
