dun say the caregiver taking care of 1 to 1 oso got complain, so u imagine how i wanna tell the IFC?? they cant even remember things that u tell them.. dunno tell them so many times liao becareful wif hankerchief..dun simply use end up still use other's hanky on zach. Give them bib oso no use, they dun wanna use. I wanna tell the teachers but some teacher are on shift, so tell one cannot tell the other. I oso sian halfway liao.
Jes, now i really praying zach will be healthy and not hv other stuff like asthma (touch wood) cos my bro used to hv it when young.
Snowger, when i was preggy, i onie eat peanut butter but onice like twice or 3 times a mth..other than that nothing liao but i ate alot of cheese..hehe

ya we hav been avoiding cold drink, ice-cream & chilled fruits from him since young... & due to his allergy condition, we even go to the extend of giving him egg & cow milk only after 3YO... my parent always say i restrict too much on his diet but i hav no choice coz they juz dunno how bad when a child is being attacked by asthma... one of my fren even comment tat i dun giv a good 童年 to my boy bcoz he cant take children's most favourite which is ICE-CREAM... haiz... wat to do!

Really envious of those who can be SAHM and yet have a helper to do housework. Just have to spend time looking after bb.

yes i koe very gek sim...it's our precious darling yet sometimes what we find a big deal, to the caregivers it's no big deal...hv to continue to keep repeating lor..esp with older folks, "repeating" better than "complaining"...our tis generation hv our own ways of taking care & bringing up our darling which conflicts with the older ones. sometimes, the older relatives (out of good will la) will tell me this n that..etc..i just listen wat i want to listen lor.. but i'll still do my way if i koe my way is best n rite for my child...
Eg alot of elder folks always dun agree that i bath my boy so late...8 pm plus very late meh...but to me, it's a nite time routine already, after bath he will be more fresh n with massage n milk , hope to get Baby K to sleep better...

Diaper rash : hippo, u wan to try to use Desitin original instead of creamy? I koe a lot of mummies use desitin creamy, however i personally find desitin original more effective. Also bcos, desitin creamy has only 4% zinc oxide while desitin original has 10% zinc oxide. zinc oxide is the active Ingredient to prevent diaper rash..
Allegies : i also trying to BF as long as i can to reduce any allegies..

Hair Loss : Fabbie, i read that hair loss starts abt 3-4mths & might go on till 6 to 12mths..

It's cruel yes but if the kid gets asthma attacks so frequently (choi) due to eating ice-cream and cold stuff. What type of childhood is tat? I hope I will be able to enforce a eat one ice-cream a month for my daughter when she grows up. Too much ice-cream is bad - v sweet leh...

Hippo - Ya, I'm looking for a job now. But not so hurried lor since the economy is bad & banks had freeze head count. I had already sent out 1 job application last week. Dunno they will hire me or not since i've stopped work for 1 yr+ le. I had a helper (but no car) to help me with the household chores. It's really a dilema for me, cos at times i feel that it's best that i go back to the workforce. Then at times i also like to be with my gal. At least can guide her along when watching her "Your Baby can read" DVD.

snowger, i can empathise with u. This week I am back to my parents place and coupled that Zach is not feeling well, everyone is taking turn carrying him. Treating him like KING of the house! Next week when I go back to SG will be nightmare liao..cos i m not into carrying Zach n patting him to sleep type of mummy. I keep telling them let him lie down n sleep on his own..they will not listen keep saying they wanna sayang him cos he is sick etc..sigh. No choice lor. Last time they oso like tat i did raise my voice at them saying that if u all din treat ur own child the same way (keep carrying and spoling them) then dun treat ur grandson any different cos u r spoiling him instead of showering him with love n good care. But say many times liao still back to same old pattern. Hahaha.. dun be depressed ok!! Y not voice out to ur hubby? Give him some example? I always point out to my hb how other kids behave and y they behave like tat etc..like one of my fren's kid will climb on the dinner table at the restaurant to sit and his parents allow him to do it, which is totally very rude. I say i will never tolerate such behaviour and in my family no one shudl talk with their mouth full and cannot chew so loudly type..then he will noe.

after reading all abt the MIL & seeing for myself.. i think i made the very very right decision of not letting my MIL look after my baby. Just once a week, she came over my house to see baby... i saw her fingernails all black.. the way she hold the pacifer is by the teats n stuff into my baby's mouth.. not by the handle.....if the pacifier drop, she just take to the sink n rinse with water..
Come on.. i have 4 pacifer sterlised & prepared anytime for baby, just in case anyone just drop.
I saw all in my eyes.. n only told my hb when she left.. my hb replied " oh is it? maybe she dun know la".....
infact still got alot that i dun wan to say... cos my MIL simply cannot accept people saying her.. cos she thinks she is always right.

Oh dear.. i have childhood asthma & eczema till now. Sinus also have in the morning.. sniffing nose.. I hope Ashlynne will follow her daddy... nothing wrong with him. dun take after all my bad things...

my ger is ok.. not as cranky as before. touchwood. My HB yesterday taught her how to do " lion roar" with his mouth open huge n wide..Then every now & then, she keep roaring... Haiz.. i dun know want to laugh or scold...

beside chicken of essence, i still take BU soup almost every few other nights.. my mum can make good soup always.. so those boiled chicken soup etc etc.. she complained that i breastfeed until no day & night.. look shack...
Maybe tats why my milk quality recently improved..

jo, if u eat 'good' food daily, ur milk will become thicker and more yellowish and for bb is fuller lor. good food not necessary be expensive food lar.. like now i eat fish daily.. onie $4 per meal then i will drink orange/carrot juice hoping that the vitamin C and A can be passed on to Zach..heheh

hang in there gals.. i understand the stress of having to balance werk and family, esp now with such a young and little one to care for. do try to take time off (putting BB in the safe care of HB, mum or other trusted family member) for yrself. i almost slipped into depression too last mth, Kasia is so demanding in the day dat i was stressed out even thou i only have to face her full day during wkend. and the thot of having to go back to werk this mth with tons of things to clear din help. but after taking time off regaularly when i went out with my frens(once in 1-2weeks), im coping better liao. ultimately, we have to share the caring of the BB with HB, who of cos have to be supportive and understanding. in this instance, im grateful dat thou my HB werk 6-day werk wk, he's a hands-on daddy =)
i dun think i can ever becum SAHM as i love to be in action at werk. not dat im a career woman thou, i do have times when i imagine becuming a tai tai, having a maid to take care of kiddo and hse werk, car and money to zip ard... but guess when the time cum, i will be bored in no time. im the type who nid to go out everyday, if not will die type!! hahaha...

She come my hse for the sake of us asking her n do nothing else. Whole day chit chat loudly with friends n sister on the phone till wake the baby up. Also complain about the maid's cooking. Ask her if can teach the maid, she shake her head like a child. Once we reach home, she first time grab her bag n zhao liao.
Can even give me suggestion telling me why not she go downstairs coffeeshop get to know some aunties there so nxt time can just call n ask the aunties to come up our house to spot check randomly on the maid. LIdat she dunid to come. Haiz

carmen, ever since Zach is born, i never go out wif hb alone before but is ok lar. I oso thought i will fall into depression but mine is cos i m too obsessed wif baby to bother abt anything!
Zach is much better liao after eating 4 rounds of the medication..hopefully he will return to his usual self soon. He suddenly refuse to 'talk' ever since he fall sick..must be cos his throat is inflamed..sad!

First foods : Came back from work and saw an envelope placed outside the main door, opened the envelope and it's a book "First foods", so happy can reached as same day my boy turn 4 mths old today.
I sent a cheque with order form for first food to Marshall Cavendish at last week and received it in good condition by today. The book was sent by Swiss post instead of Singpost coz the stamp indicated Swiss post hand delivery copy. But how can just simply put it in between the gate and main door, if taken up by someone then who bear responsible for the lost ?

I need to VENT!!!
My poor gal is sick, got a terrible cough n blocked nose.. thanks to my niece.. sigh
My MIL took care of my little Summer, and my niece is suppose to go school since 2 wks ago. the first few days they dun bear to let her cry so brought her home after 1 or 2 hours. then v soon she caught a flu bug fr sch.. and they decided to keep her at home with my gal.. Neither my MIL nor my SIL inform me abt it lor.. then 2 days lata whic is ytd.. My gal started coughing supper badly!!
Weds nite I brought her to GP cos PD as closed.. wasted $22 on consultation to hear the Stoopid doc tell me that he's unable to prescribe any medicine.. cos my gal is only 3 mths old!!! waste my time!!
Then Thurs morn I rushed to send my gal to see PD.. cos the nite before she couldn't slp kept coughing until breathless n wake up to cry each time.. Damn pek chek!! PD say that she has a bit of bronchitis oreadi.. sight lung infection, gotta give the inhaler to breath in the medicine which is more effective, given antibiotic, syrup for cough & to open airway plus a sachet call singular.. dun ask me wats tat.. Spent anoth $180 at the PD.. Money aside.. my gal v ke lian lor!!
I'm so pissed.. tat my gal gotta go thru all these sufferring becos of their irresponsible actions.. damn sian.. can't tell my MIL off cos she's a bery nice lady.. Jus damn sian tat SIL not automatic at all..She herself has go 3 kids, she noe to qurrantine her kids, cos when 1 fall sick, she will throw the kid at my MIL hse n bring the rest back.. how come she doesn't know how to think for other kids.. mine is only any infant lor!!!
