Hi Fabbie,
my boy neck is also quite strong. Dun realy need to support him. He will lift his head when he is on tummy. He is turning 2mths on coming tue.

my boy usually sleep at 11pm then wake up for milk at ard 430am to 5am. If he sleep at 12 midnight also wake up at the same time lei. Dunno why. Then the next feed will be ard 8am. At least he sleep for straight 5hrs like that. So means now i can have more sleep also.

btw just now my gal keep fussy very fussy and refuse to drink.. that was im in the aircon room. so i decided to bring her out in the living room she started to calm down. and when i feed her. she drank finish. I suspecting maybe she's cold. Maybe. hope im right. so i can solve this problem easily! =)
 
hi mummies, woke up last nite with pain in one of my breasts. then this morning whole body ache n came down w fever. Doc says it's likely breast infection n gave antiobiotics. But anor doc I saw previously for e same symptoms says it's just viral fever (coz of the body ache) n sent me home to take panadol enuf liao. Anyone noes wat's happening? Hope I dun spread e fever to my boy..
 
wahoo..finally my boi is in the routine liao..last nite he sleep from 11pm to 7.30am..haha..longest duration..normally he will be up abt 6am for milk..

Btw, those rockers w vibrator one can help to make bb slp?

no la .. if the music is soft and soothing and your bb can fall asleep to it, why not? ... anything can as long as your baby can fall asleep

Ya, I also have a rocker with the vibration mode ... apparently it's supposed to soothe bb leh ... my girl ok with it .. can fall asleep while in her rocker too ...

if ya having fever and u pump ya milk out it wont pass to ya boy.. so dun worry... i have encounter this before till 40c before.

My breast also on the left quite pain.. i ask my hub to touch he say no lump. but when i touch i feel its painful. Wah. yday i feel abit weak. today better. but i feel my breast its pain.. i feel abit weird. but then i squeeze my breast nothing come out. -___-

IF im working now. then i pump my milk out i put in my office fridge. Till i reach home(duno how many hrs my milk but its with my icepack) can i pour my milk to my milkbag and freeze it??

though my boy neck dun need to support so much liao but i still dun dare to let go lei. Cos i worry it not strong enough but he like to be in the sitting position. Sometime i find his head will ding dong also.

yo, Hi-5 to u!!! sometimes i oso think that "自己拿来衰"... why i wan to giv birth again & torture myself esp when going thru the sleepless nite coz my #2 until now still waking up at nite every 2-3hrs....

so u confirmed dun wan to try for gal again? i plan to insert IUCD to prevent accident happen ler... kekeke!! can't bear to hav another boy again coz if all 3 r boys, i will faint!!

wahh... so many babies already start to sleep thru? (shout loudly) when is my turn!!!!

at least urs still can stretch to 4hrs... mine only ever happen 2 times (sleep thru 4hrs), last nite i started to feed him water when he woke up at 2am coz his last feed was 12am ler, so fed up! of coz he wont satisfy laa so cry & cry and i was like 'fighting' with him until 3 plus then finally he slept & wake up at 4.30am... very tired, tonite going to be another battle again!!!

my PD oso prescribe this probotics drop for my ger, but she poo a lot after 2 days of probotics (dun know if its because of the drop), so i stop giving her, wanted to give her again today, but iemik0 say that it must be refridgerated... my was not put in the fridge since we feed her bout 3wks ago cause i didnt know, was not on the prescription label... alamak wasted...will go pharmacy tml & c if i can get it...the skin around my ger mouth got a lot of rashes cause of her saliva from sucking the pacifer... the probotics is suppose to help.. she always like to rub her face too, been using the sebamed facial cream, it helps a while... read that luthadel recommend Gaia.. i've got gaia at home so we used it this afternn... seems to be better liao...

My office got fridge.. BUT if i freeze my milk at office.. and My hubbie cannot fetch me i got to take MRT wor.. like that my freeze milk will become thaw liao leh. U saw carmen.. i today saw carmen too! at compass pt. hehe
 
fabbie, if u freeze ur milk at office, when u go back home, u will need to place the milk in a thermal bag (like fridge to go) and put ice pack inside it....at least 2hrs will not melt.

Nowadays i will not wanna freeze my milk liao cos read that it will lose some of the antibodies and nutrients during thawing..
 
morning mummies! me zz whole day ydae tt I am wide awake since 4am! feeling much better liao thou left breast dunno y still pain.. hubby sent bb to my MIL place again. missed him so much tt I went to take his beanie n smell.. haha.. my body better buck up n recover so I can fetch him back quickly

btw, he's dropping lotsa hair now.. his pillow, his clothes, my clothes all got hair.. n they drop in patches! so ugly..

d probiotics is in a small glass bottle one rite?den muz put in fridge. coz i heard got sachet kind oso tt don need to be refrigerated. pharmacist told dr tt its quite ex. coz dr dono wat med is it n juz order for mi. he ordered 1ml twice a dae n pharmacist call him to correct d dosage. keke. shud be 5 drops every morning. so far i give every alternate morning now since he discharged. dono if it causes diahorrea anot coz during his admission, he diahorrea alot b4 taking d probiotics. now no more liao.

any mummies gotten their baby bonus card? we juz use d card n pin no to deposit cash?
 
Fabbie, my MIL says they will drop all the hair till abt 4mths old leh.. so I start to apply olive oil on him occasionally, partly for his cradle cap, and also to encourage hair growth!

fabbie, can get fridge to go. I got a cooler bag and I will put my milk in the office's fridge, then trf to my cooler bag, then put in home's fridge.

Cindy, heard fr frens baby's hair will drop thats y need to shave hair. But we didnt shave gal's hair. M worried now.

probiotics is actually good bacteria. my dr fren told mi can give for colic or cranky bb. i find tt it does work well for kayson. hehe.

govt will match d amt at end of d mth rite? i yet to deposit. ask u ah. den how do we know we our elder boi is included in d cda as well?
 
2nd baby, was told that even if shave, e hair will grow out in patches n much coarser, so i dun intend to shave my boy's hair. =)
 
anyone brought bb out alone with stroller yet? I super scared of the escalator lor.. esp e going down part..so far always let hubby handle, coz once I tried with some shopping bags in stroller n I almost toppled e stroller.. imagine if bb inside! wld definately need more practice.. any tips?

I dare not use stroller on the escalator.. anyway theres alot of sign saying no stroller on escalator wor..but usually i will ask my hub to carry baby or i carry baby then he push on the escalator will be better ba. If not kana people say. damn sianz one! so does your oliv oil works? let me know! hehe

Okai. i was thinking whats fridge to go.. ask me to bring a fridge or what.. now then i understand.. when i do a search online hahaha its a bag. haha anyway. i think i saw the spree before.. anyone knows is there a spree for fridge to go on still?

so meaning i get the fridge to go.. i put my freeze milk inside buy my ICE BAG inside will be better is it? so will last long huh. but is it big enff to put so many? cus i prefer putting all my milk in the bag when im working. so i no need to bring so many bottles

i brought bb out wif stroller alone. veri hard to handle. my is graco travel system. den when bb cry, still gotta carry bb n push stroller. prefer to use bb bjorn if i go out shopping wif bb. more convt.

My elder girl is already 2 yrs old but til nw, I dun dare to handle the stroller on a escalator, esp going down the escalator.

But actually why don't you refridgerate your milk when in office then transfer to freezer when you get back? Also, I read that freshly pumped refridgerated milk is better than frozen milk. Like what kath said, you lose some antibodies with freezing. I plan to give my girl EBM that was pumped the day before. Meaning that the milk I pump on Monday when I'm at work, I will bring home and give that to her on Tuesday. The freezer milk will only be for emergencies, e.g. I had no time to pump, she's going through growth spurt and needs more milk, I forgot to store my milk properly and it went bad, etc.

So far when I go out with baby in stroller, I don't really do much shopping. If I do then I will carry a backpack (like a schoolbag), rather than a sling bag, so that both my hands are free to manage the stroller. But I also don't dare to navigate the escalator on my own! Will usually take the lift where possible.

imeko, i also have the bjorn air carrier. only tried once n i find it very hot leh.. was sweating buckets while using it

heh, think i die die have to try to use my stroller as much as possible, e most take lift.. else hubby will kill me, coz i backside itchy made him pay for the bugaboo bee

oh, saw the cordlife advert flashing at the top of the page n recalled i got sign up.. but havent rec anything from them yet since delivery till now. Anyone got the results already?

it takes 8 weeks at least for them to release the results. their cust svc good as called 2 weeks ago to say they are processing it and to expect results in next 2 weeks+. should hear from them, this week.

I also scare to push the stroller with baby inside on the escalator.. The 1st time i brought baby out.. i spent so much time looking for the lift especially at Marina SQ.. NO LIFTS n worst.. some escalator have to carry up the stroller thru some staircases 1st then reach the escalator FAINT!!! SUNTEC is good with lots of lifts..

I tried using stroller 1st time on last sat when gog ikea cos hb driving also..only thing i find good w stroller..is bb has a place to lie in..

I thought bouncer is only for bb 4 mths and up? I also want to buy a bouncer for my girl, but I think she still cannot sit up on her own yet, so still using rocker and playmat for now.

i'm a mother of 2 so no problem for me to go out alone with bb as well as handle stroller on escalator... i hate to take lift laa coz sometimes got to wait for so long... handle stroller on escalator is easy, like wat sam mentioned, juz be confident & do more practise!

btw i got the letter from cordlife asking for upfront payment liao, i'm asked to giv them authorization to process payment via GIRO from CDA acct... anyone also got the same status as me? are we paying them only upfront payment 1st? scared dun hav sufficient money in CDA fund coz if so they will charge to my credit card instead ler...

as for swing or bouncer, i think i prefer swing loh coz auto rock mah, but it's true la swing can only up to 12kg... & very soon baby will reach tat weight liao! but bouncer we hav to self rock ler, like tat i also dun hav time to do my own stuff... hehe!

carrier or stroller?
i definitely prefer stroller coz my boy has better sleep in stroller esp in shopping mall, if use carrier i feel so hot & heavy & will hav backache!
 
Wow, its just like 1 wkend & there's so many postings le!

On sat nite, my boy suddenly got fever...dunno why also..It's not bcos of injection as his 6in1 was taken 2 wks ago...haiz..spend the whole nite trying to bring down his temp..but he keep fussing as dun like cold towel..
I'm suppose to bring my boy for his 1st dose of pneumococcal jab this wk again...Pray hard he wont get fever again...

Thanks to Luthadel's advice/tip on the Bb carrier, i have also gotten one Bjorn to use. Yup & I agree its pretty good! Thank god my Boy likes it! If not i going to put my own Bjorn carrier up for sale too;p. Like what Luthadel mention, my boy can even comfortably sleep in the carrier

my bb also fusses alot in evenings!!! esp starting fm 7 till 9pm.. almost every every evening!!! Last nite at our family gathering, my cousin ask if bb fm day 1 has been like tht? If not there must have been something done differently so my boy dun like... Eg she ask wat was done during 7-9pm during confinemet...maybe bb is missing a familar song that was played? maybe he wants to be in a particular room? / spot? Cos she says babies very clever & got good memory one...we must have done something differently fm wat BB likes tt why he is fussing..
wahh i'm now also trying to recall wat was done differntly then from now...i was telling HB during 7-9pm is watching TV lor..cant be I hv to go n find that particular drama that was aired during that time & played it everyday btw 7-9pm bah..

I have only received the lab results from cord life. There wasn't any forms to fill leh... They just tell me that my bb's cord blood will be stored.. Never tell me anything about payment... But I think they will only deduct from CDA acc in April.. well at least that's what the sales rep told me...

How many times do you guys plan to pump when at work??

I'm also planning to do that... Pump for the following day... Fresher.. And yeah freezing the milk actually will change the quality of the milk.. not as nutritious as fresh or refrigerated milk.. There will also be less antibodies to make ur child more immune to infections.

I realised when I freeze milk for more than a month.. my milk will smell fishy... and I read from somewhere that the reason is cos my milk contains more lipase than usual... sigh.. I have tried letting my girl drink the fishy milk and she is ok with it but I cannot bear to let her drink leh...
