e trial is FOC?? i paid abt $42 for it at Forum outlet leh.. thk will be taken as 1 lesson or maybe FOC if u sign up e package within a yr..

they charge $42.50 at forum branch. This Marina Sq brand is newly open so they have FOC class for the mth of July. Thats why i ask the mummies here interested anot since is FOC. But for 1st timer loh.
 
oo.. then really shd go try! quite fun lah.. lots of rolling & carrying ard (tiring for e mummy!). some bbs cry whole time coz they dun like to be turn upside dwn etc. errr.. Iris, i thk u cant do it ah, unless ur hubby taking over =)

Dun think HDBs are building EAs liao... Where is ur place? Sounds quite big... Actually, I kinda like the idea of buying two 3rm HDB units and hacking away walls...

Tat sounds just like my grandma! We shifted from a rented landed property to a 3 rm flat when I was in Pri 5. She essentially moved one bedroom worth of stuff. Up till todate (17yrs later), the stuff are still in their boxes in the bedroom. When we say want to pack and throw, she totally not receptive lor...

The best part is when we pack stuff, she will keep snooping ard and scoping things which we want to throw out and say "aiyah why u throw this!"! -__-"

Only method is to see if ur hb can flex his muscles like Jappooh's hb. ;)

yea. abit of singing like e kindermusik session. then rolling ard, helping bb turn somersault etc, then free play (which is not v useful nw coz our bb still pretty much nt mobile). heh, good exercise for the mummy lor.. keke

BB Evan has eczema outbreak again .. was on my way to work and suddenly my MIL and maid kept calling me to go home ..

So i rush back and brought him to see his PD .. but nothing happen .. just normal rashes..

my MIL not old leh... she's oni 52/3...its the character not the age...my hubby oso cannot tahan her keeping her stuff.... ask her to throw away her old clothes, she say still can wear...then she still keep buying and buying new ones....

wow your mil indeed very young lei. My MIL is 55 only but when my hubby say throw she will throw loh. My hubby will say keep and keep hse big also not enough space..haha..

I just got a maid less than a month ago. She's Filipino. Did not get other nationalities coz I did not want language to be a problem. As it is, I am working so not at home most of the time. After one whole day at work, do not want to spend time supervising her and have chicken and duck talk haha.

So far she seems ok and quite independent. Mine worked in Hong Kong for 2 yrs before so her cooking is fine and I can pretty much leave her to plan dinner. She also has a 2 year old son so she knows how to take care of baby. Though most of the time it's still my MIL or mum who takes care of the baby.

I think it pretty much depends on your requirements for the maid eg clean house, cook or look after baby. Then you can go about selecting which one depending on her experience. If you get one who has never worked as a domestic helper before, then be prepared to spend time training her.
 
bur, my PIL has the same syndrome. Recently they invaded the dining room table cos their table is juz full of stuff and housekeeping is not in their dictionary. If you say them, they will turn the table and say us instead. So unless we keep our area tidy else we cant say them unless we want to wage war.

I die die will never stay with my PIL.. i don't like to have too many ppl staying together in one tiny flat! No privacy at all.. mabbe it is the environment that I grew up in whr I stay in landed property (Malaysia) and we have our own space and even living and dining room oso big so will not feel cramped up.

I oso wanna get a maid but wil still send Zach to school cos i m really very tired! Reach home, need to settle baby, put clothes to washer, wait for it to finish washing, hang them, wash bottles etc etc.. by the time i can sit down n pump is 11pm n if i m lucky Zach is sleeping else.. at least with a maid, i come back, i dun hv to do any housework n i can spend more time wif my baby..

yogi, how much did u pay for ur maid?

That's exactly how i felt. I just shifted to a landed house and cleaning the house alone kills me! not to mention doing the laundry and all the little bits and pieces of housework as well. We toyed with the idea of a part time cleaner but figured it's more worth it to get a maid.

I am paying $350 for mine and she gets one day off a month which is fine with us. At first we wanted a more experienced one who has worked in sin before for 4-5 years but unfortunately she did not wanna come to sin. That would have cost me $400. The maid levy is $170.

yes the class is FOC only if u are 1st timer. Those already went b4 will have to pay hor.
