Ya la true, i tink half population is a fair judgement

RCB,
Is the hb earning lower income than your gf and need to pay for alot of other expenses, bills, etc .. thats why never fork out for ur gf's gynae bill and baby daily necessities?

lilian,
What have u experienced since 6pm last night that made u feel enlightened when u woke up this morning? Haha.

lilian,
I got dizzy spell when I woke up this morning ... until now dun feel good .. but drag myself to work cos boss dun like pple take MC on Fridays and Mondays.
Dunnoe issit bcos I'm having my menses and didnt sleep well last night too... feel so awful

Jo, maybe is your menses lor. Have u eaten breakfast? Me having slight headache. Thinking of the work to be done today, makes me even more headache.

Lilian,
Took breakfast in the office already .. but still feeling some loss of balance.
Juz think its Friday ... juz do whatever u can .. dun stress urself.

ah lian: u telling me, i run after my kids lagi chuan
happy.gif

ah jo: thought u weren't happy yesterday after i read ur facebook. pls do go home & rest if u r not well, k?

yesterday's topic is truly sad. but it is true tt many women stay in their marriages for the sake of their children. my ah yi as well but in the end, the other woman still forced my uncle to divorce her. & then when he died, she didn't even inform my cousin or my uncle's parents. v sad stories.

olwen,
Oh yah ... quarrelling with my bro over my parents house move arrangements.

Olwen & Karen,
Thanks for the concern .. still nt tt bad that I need to go home ... can 'rest' at work. Need to get some iron tablets or food rich in iron for lunch later.

i also 'giddy'.... only managed to sleep at 2am all thanks to the chinese tea i took during dinner.. then little rascal woke up 4.30 for milk and 6.30 ask for milk again!!!! got my hubby to make e milk for the 2nd round -_-

nut,
U didnt had enuff sleep ... next time avoid tea/coffee after 6-7pm ...
Ur gal is so good in drinking milk!

lilian,
My bro!

There is a very bad thunder & lightning here a minute ago .. continuous thunder sound & lightning .. very scary .. think my boy in sch must be terrified.

morning mummies

finally friday... and i'm counting down to my last work day with this shitty firm, haha... another 5 more working days.

ah lian
u hv not mentioned what is it tat u r enlightened?

jo & nut
take care and hv good rest over wkend.

the topic of y'day was quite depressing leh... but do agree that not many wonderful guys around so guess we got to make do lor, its perhaps oso how both parties can try to accommodate each other to make the marriage work well.

jes, haha.. i dunno how to associate the word 'wonderful' to 'guys' :p

I jus feel many SG men r over-dependent on their parents for early part of their life. T parents provide everything, including food, housing, money, education, some even car & underwear! So when they form their own family, t sense of 'responsibility' is not there. They tink they still can go out n play even when there's a wife and kids at home waiting for them.
I feel National Service is good lor. At least teach them tat their mama is not everytime there for them. hahah.. But hor, tat time i went to the beach rd army market with hubby, i saw some parents there sourcing for army stuff for their sons -_-" Over-pampered i think.
Its the Asian culture at fault! 重男轻女! Sons no need to help with housework, dun give monthly allowance oso nevermind....

Morning mummies

Nut
Yalo...alot of shitty men...

Jo
pls tkc ya...
My gf's hubby is earing abt the same as my gf.
Somemore u kw wat her hubby always work till very late n even some wkends...dunno isit outside gt meet gals again..my gf also dun care so much le...
Her hubby have to pay some medical fees for his mum who is lying on bed at hm only....Then sometime he got not enough money to pay his own car's insurance n income tax...need my gf to pay for him. Ask him to pick his daughther or tk leave when the child is sick is sooo difficult too.
I feel so sad for my gf....

Good morning mommies,

Yeah! TGIF!

Jes,
So you managed to go back your ex-firm? Must be a relief to resigned from a crappy workplace. Me too... tat time. Could not wait to leave. Thank goodness did not hv to serve the whole notice period cos was joining competitor, so they decided to let me go off early. *hiaks-hiaks*

Jo,
Oh dear. Yah.. go get some iron tablets. Then maybe for lunch can get those herbal soup thing + rice? Maybe you need to 'bu-sheng'. Or... could it be you're preggie?

Y'day topic,
Not a happy topic... but it's a sad reality. Many people nowadays walk down the aisle with wrong mentality - "if things go wrong can always divorce". Like that how can the marriage last? Cos both parties are not committed enough. I feel such partners who commit adultery are selfish idiots. They are only concerned with their own perceived "needs, wants, happiness, etc". In the end, everything is destroyed and lots of lives are forever damaged. My heart especially feels pain for those innocent children that always suffer in such sad cases.

I' m bored.. why the depressing topic? Lilian, erm.. is everything ok back home?

I also think gals have a part to play as much as guys.. sometimes we have this 'image' in our minds of what a hb shd be. i know of someone who broke up with her bf cos she thinks he is not as doting or as romantic as some TV character.. kept asking why he dunno how to do this or that to make her happy..

Sometimes we ourselves don't have enough faith in our men or in ourselves. We constantly ask if there are other women (even if it was meant to be a joke) or keep needing constant reassuring if they still love us or if we are still pretty. If i m a guy, i get tired listening to it too! we gals need to EMPOWER ourselves. don't rely on our men, get a job, earn a lot of money.. have money stashed away.. and always let them know u can live without them.. haha i find this makes the guy want u even more.. haha..

U know what's the scariest thing for me? that when i turn 50 and my kids have grown up, i turn to look at the man i married and i asked myself WHY! :p

But this is only my opinion...

Bear...
Your quote "when i turn 50 and my kids have grown up, i turn to look at the man i married and i asked myself WHY!"

.... I'm already doing that..

But ur kid hasn't grown up yet mah.. u also not on gd terms with ur hb?

I agree with one of u when u say that women stay in the marriage for the sake of the kids.. sigh.. if we don't stay for the kids, ppl will say we only think for ourselves.. if we stay in the marriage we lose our youth... sigh..

lose-lose situation for us.

liian,
I agree sg young men are still depending on their parents ... really disgrace loh ... it shld be time they are taking care of their parents, not the other way round!

RCB,
Ur gf case sounds very familiar to mi ...

3gems,
I'm having my menses lah .. being preggie is 100% not possible.

I started with this depressing topic cos I saw a couple I believed they are husband and mistress. Ok ... lets change another topic.

Bear, haha.. everything is fine at home. Dun worry. I m jus bored and got my imagination running wild la...
How abt u? Yr thesis ready-to-go?

"when i turn 50 and my kids have grown up, i turn to look at the man i married and i asked myself WHY!"
I think many of us will !
I know my mum is. But love is blind, and people change. All is impermanent.

Lilian, u got very wild imagination.. haha. make ppl concern for u! Thesis is 95% ready.. waiting for one more chapt to come back and then send out, and i am ready to print lor.

Ya.. when i was young and naive, my then bf (now hb) told me that he can't love me forever. sooner or later love will change to become responsibility.. u stay on cos u feel responsible lor. But it still scares me to think that i have lost my youth to a guy i might not wanna live till old with!

Peanut, u always say u don't think ur hb finds u attractive, don't think he loves u as much, that u a bit regret marrying him etc.. but when he sends u flowers u question him too.. hehehe.. kinda contradicting? hehehe.. sometimes thoughts can become reality.. the more u believe the more it will happen. :p

nut,
I feel tt most guys are usually the passive type, especially after marriage.

I'm super sleepy ... barely cant keep my eyes open.

ah jo, especially so if the guys are living with their parents after marriage!! This is wat i observed. Those who moved out are better
happy.gif

ah bear, Good to hear yr thesis will b out from t oven soon!
Wah, yr hubby so straight-fwd one ah, tell u up-front these things. My hubby used to tell me he will love me for dunno how many thousand years... i jus smile back at him. hahaha..
Ya, maybe 10 years down t road, u found another guy 10x more attractive than yr hubby, then u will regret!
:p

Jo, Z is fine.. getting naughtier and more kaypoh.. we adults talk he will also try and butt in to talk..

Lilian, we are all straightward type of ppl.. i cannot stand mushy talk.. my hb once told me if i try to talk mushy, he will die of laughter.. i m just not that type!..

HAHA.. recently i keep wondering what if i had an ang moh hb! hehehe.. then i have gd looking kids which means i can earn money by making them be models!

Bear
i once tot finally i found someone i really love... as i mus say my exs loved me more than i do.. I feel that last time i was always the one giving out more in terms of showering of love, till now i dun really wan to bother abt him as much anymore.. Why mus i always b e one making effort when he jus dun bother at all.. Since he so bochap i also bochap lor.. since he attitude i show him attitude as well..

Bear,
He will be very good in his speech when he grows up.

lilian,
Move out will also come back for money de! Some mothers juz pamper their boys too much and that also keep their boys close to them.

Agree guys living with parents cannot make it. I rely on my mil more than my hubby. My mil can fix from broken pipes/toilet. Ask my hubby to do would took ages. 'shake head'

Bear,
Wah... long time no talk to you liaoz. Glad Z is doing well. J3 is getting more notty too. Now know how to 'throw' her body on the floor in protest if she dun get her way. Can even scream really lodly leh. *faintz* So we all tend to ignore her when she starts to misbehave. Hiaz... but my dad will still give in when I turn my back. *aarrgghh* Cos he can't stand to hear her crying.

Peanut,
Aiyohz... How come your hub so bo-chap? Not good leh. I also dun like my hub to keep socializing too much with his colleagues. As if see them everyday during work not enough meh? Still need to go out and play sports together? Lucky, now he seldom go out with them except for lunches which is good.

Mommy's boy,
*aarrgghh* I really can't stand those guys who are so tied to mommy's apron strings even after getting married. Worse is when the mother herself encourages him to cling to her. eerrkks!!

3gems,
My hb also used to go drink kopi on weekends with one of his colleague who stay nearby. Dun understand why .. but I kept quiet cos I think he needs his own time with frens ... he no longer hang out with his tt grp of gfs except for birthday celebrations .. so I dun wan say too much when he meets his fren for an hr for kopi.

I wld say some mothers are very soft-hearted one ... whatever the son need, she will juz give.

Jo,
re : mommy's boy...

worried next time we will become 1! hheeheee... dunno whether we will treat our sons like that or not...

kash,
You r rite ... perhaps in future .. e.g. when son is having difficulty finding a job ... I will tell him .. take ur time lah .. mummy will take care of u until u find a job u like.

3 Gems,

wow! u moved back to your ex company! that's great! even had an increment? hahaha...i still remember u were shredding papers before u leave that time. sometimes, grass always seem to be greener elsewhere.. i guess unless the boss and colleagues are nasty...else, think twice before moving
happy.gif

Jo,
Once awhile meet frens for kopi is ok. But I dun like it if it becomes a weekly affair. Dunno leh... guess I'm phobia liaoz. Cos I see a few cases where the hub meets certain "colleague" weekly for drinking session. Then from nothing become something. I would rather steer my hub away from such temptations lor.

Kash,
hahahha... yah. Was busy shredding papers and shifting furniture b4 I left. But I was ok with that lah. Cos the info I handle here is confidential and sensitive. So after I tender resignation means cannot handle those info anymore = nothing to do. So they ask me shred papers lor. hahahaha *lolz*

Yah... grass always seem greener on other side. But I learnt my lesson liaoz. As long as I'm happy in this job and I'm remunerated sufficiently (aka market rate), I'll stay.
biggrin.gif

Yes 3Jems, 日久会生情 Better steer away
For me, I also keep a distance fr my male colleagues.. esp my working environment, 80% r male. I scare wait they fall in love with me! ahahahah.. siao liao lah.

lilian,

u r so funny!

3 Jems,

so good hor...still have $$ increase! that's the happiest thing
happy.gif
congrats! u went back to the same position? if yes, means also lucky they have not found ur replacement?

actually, i can't imagine how come hb or wife still have time to go out with any friends if kids are young! For me and hb, we even have to squeeze time to go have a haircut or run impt errands! My hb din even bother to go for several corporate functions as long as it is after office hours. As for me, I did not even turn up recently for a farewell dinner organized by my ex boss! told him as long as it is dinner, i can't make it! So had an informal farewell lunch with my team mates instead...

Ah lianz
haha u so funny lei.. no need steer away la.. wait they tink u so unapproachable and dao.. even if they fall in love with u, also can't do anything rite.. needs 2 hands to clap!

Lilian,
hahahhaah.... you so funny leh. Yah yah. For me also. When I do sales calls and meet male clients, I make sure they know I got 3 kids at home.

Kash,
Yup. Went back to same position. Actually they could not find replacement. So when they asked if I wanna come back, I jumped at the offer. Berry hengz lor. But then hor... the salary increase is to meet current market rates lah. Last time I was underpaid hor.

Tell me about not having time for frens. The last time I went out was for the steamboat with Peanut and rest of gals here. Everyday, I dun hv luxury of quiet "me" time. Once open my eyes in the morning, it's "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!". Then when reach home, open door... again "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" all the way till they close their eyes and sleep. then peace, quiet and order will resume. Next day start again.

hi all..
wah..didnt know there's topic now here ah..i have been alittle busy lately on the mooncakes arrangement happening in offc..hohoho..

i supposed we are in an era that more women are learning to be a little more independent as compare to our mum's time..then at the same time trying to strike a balance in family..managing a family is surely not easy and everyone is learning..certain things are at times beyond our control too..we will want the best but not sure if we can get the best..

since we only lived once..we shd try to be happier as days goes along..if one we loved is not "reliable" in any way, then we hv to rely on ourselves to make us happy..at least in the growing up years of our precious ones we knew we made them have a happy childhood too..one of my gf mummy ever told me, even if end of day hubby cannot fulfil the promises he did during exchanging of vows or proposal, life have to move on..if at that time children are involved, it's about how both (hubby & wife) want to make plans to bring up the child in the best arrangement possible..

another of my gf mummy also said in parenting, both parents have to know that they both have to play a role, it's our responsibilities aft bringing them to the world..not just the mum caring for the child..if mum is playing a part, why cant hubby also help in too..awaz get hubby involved in parenting..it's about showing the "examples" to the younger generations too..when the hubby are involved in caring for the child (like bathing the child or changing diapers) then he will feel the "resposibility" & bonding as a man in the family..that may lessen the possibility of men stray or having any thots..

i do not think it's "right" to continue "pampering" the men if he's already being pampered by their own mum..we women are not maids or servants so each plays a part too..

nut..
i agrees with u..it takes 2 hands to clap..

little_jewels..
oh ya..indeed ur open eyes & open doors experiences are happening to many of us here..hope we busy caring mummies will get more "time-off" to reward ourselves more too..yea~

lilian..
hv u resent to me ur upcoming honeymoon plans? hohoho..i didnt recd leh..hear from u..i can go down on Mon to get the stuff i told u abt previously..cheers~

kash..
in case i didnt hv time to txt u, the items are with me in tampines..let me know if u will be near at times so i can bring down for u too..cheers~
