Good morning ...
Yesterday took half day MC at 2+pm to go back and rest cos of my bad runny nose, really cant concentrate at work. When I reached home, I went to nap beside my boy who juz fallen asleep. Right half an hr later, he woke up and insist I wake up as well and bring him to the living room to play. Didnt had a good rest till my bedtime at 10pm. But I'm feeling much better today!

My hb fell sick bcos he didnt drink enuff water during his biz trip last wk.
Lucas will touch touch mi and call "mummy mummy" till I wake up then say "walk walk".
Sometimes when he is playing and I shut my eyes for awhile ... he use his fingers and try to pull my eyelid open.
Yesterday evening when hb reached home, Lucas was babbling and so active and my hb asked mi "Dont u think he looks like a monkey?" I laughed.

Do u make it a practice to give Teachers' Day present? Where do u draw the line, or do u prepare a gift for all teachers? Enrichment center teacher also give? I never prepare anything for my dd1's teachers leh. Last year was her first year in school, and I didn't even remember the occasion. I'm one clueless mum.

I make it a practise to give all my gal's teachers gift on Teachers' Day. When they were attending CC, I will send a huge hamper over for the Principal and Teachers. Then enrichmenet classes, I will prepare separate gifts. When #1 went to Primary school, more shiong cos still send hamper to CC cos #2 still attending + individual gifts for #1's primary school teachers (only those teaching her) + enrichment teachers.
I always make it a point to give prezzies ever since my girls started childcare. You will be very surprised for CC's, not many parents will send presents. So the CC's teachers and principal always treat my girls extra special.
Then for primary school it's the other way round... everyone will give and if your child dun give, will be the odd one out.
Must know how to 'curry' favour swith the teachers leh... after all they are the ones taking care of my children and marking their papers. hehehehhe

So far, Express Employment is not bad. After sales servie, they will call you every now and then to check on the maid's progress and if you are happy. Comes to replacement, they are also very prompt. When I had a maid who develop health probs only 1-month after coming in, they did not charge me for her temporary lodging and air-ticket back to Indon. Somemore they helped to find replacement as fast as possible. But becos no suitable ones, they cancelled all my post dated cheques. Nevery charged me anything left from the maid's loan. Berry good service.

actually hor.. those presents to teachers, usually t teachers will give away one. Cos a lot of stuff r pretty useless, and occupy space. They will probably keep handmade cards. Thats wat my teacher friend told me.

My hse got no window grilles .. only window panes. Yes, I know it's dangerous as I have a toddler at home ... only way is to follow my boy round the house.
As for that maid ah, if she really wanna jump, she wld have jumped down and not making a chaos at the kitchen window. Cant stand all these stupid maids.

This happened on 10 June 2009 in a rented flat near Havelock Road sometime after 9pm.
The Court heard that the 30-year-old man rocked the infant "forcefully" as he was "frustrated" that she was crying and would not go to sleep.
The man's 23-year-old wife came home from work at around 7am the next day and noticed that her baby was "behaving strangely" when she tried to feed her a bottle of milk.
The baby was brought to hospital soon afterwards, and died in the Children's Intensive Care Unit of KK Hospital a week later at around 8am on June 17.
A medical report from KKH revealed that the infant suffered injuries including haemorrhage in the brain and eyes.
It stated that these were most likely caused by a condition known as the "shaken baby syndrome".
