I think our parents in their 50s dun like to take care of children bah. My own mother who is 53years old also never offer to take care of my baby when he's born. Luckily my mil says she will. At that time, my mil was taking care of her daughter's two sons. Now she concentrates taking care of my son.

I only add some light soya sauce if we sharing the food with R. I seldom add salt. Now they are older a pinch of salt/light soya sauce should be fine. Ya, u can cook separately but quite mafan.

my hubby has decided to skip the trial and just go ahead with GUG. I called them jus now and I'll be signing up for the 'Parent and Babe' program and attending the class straight away this coming sunday at 4pm. the receptionist told me that i'll be only missing 1 lesson if i join this week coz they oredi started last week.
Or you want to skip the trial oso and join me this sunday?hehehe..

Morning mummies ...

When Lucas is recovering from his rashes and pus in the nose, he was down with fever and vomitting yesterday.

Yesterday 9pm ... so guai sit there let me feed milk .. but didnt know that when I almost finish feeding, he simply throw up everything and having a high fever 38-39 degree. We all juz cant sleep well with him till 2.45am .. I fed him again with paracetamol but dun subsides .. ard 3.30am bring him to KKH but the nurse say need to wait 1-2hrs (I remembered kash had same experience) so I told my hb we go straight to Mt A and we were done there in half hr time. Doc say he got viral fever and jus give medication. This morning drink alittle milk also throw up everything. Haiks.

I'm now so tired and aching all over from carrying him yesterday. But my boss dun like staff to take MC on Fridays and Mondays, moreover I'm taking 4 days leave next week to take care of Lucas while my mum go holiday. So had to go work today and leave him to my mum's care.

oh dear..hope Lucas will get well soon. I was told by the doc the last time when my Darius had viral fever and that it will last at least 3 to 4 days. I sponged him every 2 hours to bring the temperature down, even in the middle of the night when he's asleep. hang on there, Lucas will recover soon. you take care too.

I brought my boy to GUG yesterday afternoon to sign him up for the enrichment class. the lady at the counter suggested to me that I should take the trial first since my boy had never attended any classes before for a long time. so i agreed and piangz..my boy started crying non-stop when the class begins and i have to carry him out of the classroom to avoid disrupting the class. then when he's more settled down, i tried bringing him into the classroom, and he starts crying all over again.i was so embarrased..and in the end, the teacher suggested to me to re-schedule another time slot for the trial. so, i'm going to bring my boy there this coming sunday. hope he'll be okay by then.

Moomum, opss.. good tat GUG let u re-schedule t trial. They r quite pro hor. Sometimes it depends on t child's mood. Some days they can b guai guai and alert. Some days they r sooo sticky and whiny!

soho, why not tell us what u normally put in her porridge?

My gal has not fully recovered from her cough..haiz.. already 3weeks+ liao.. doc say if stil not recovered hav to go for nebu... super duper sianz............

I was so envious of the other parents in the class. their kids are all so well behaved. haiz..i wonder how long after then my boy will be so well behaved..

enrichment classes:
me also planning to bring my gal to LNT for 3 trial sessions. Starting Apr 10 cos my fren also bringing her gal ther. But will be missing the 2nd class cos i'll be overseas.. now waiting for the lady to call me and inform if they can jus charge me for 2 sessions..
But i also forsee my gal's atention span v short after a little while wan to go out liao lor.. haiz..
 
nuts, u shd go for 3 trials. Coz they conduct in 3 diff languages (every wk diff language). If u can't make it for one, ask whether u can go tat language class 3 wks later

But the one i'm going to miss is the jap class.. which i actually dun mind missing cos she wont understand anyway thou i know its their purpose to inject diff language onto them..
My fren who attended with his son rolled his eyes abt the jap class. say his son not interested at all and keep wanting to walk out and play with the ramp instead!

hope Lucas will have a speedy recovery! it is always mummy &amp; daddy that feels it the most when our little one is not well. So do take care of yourself too ya?

wanted to ask the mummies here if anyone is experiencing your toddler waking up earlier than usual now? my girl has been waking up around 6am now! and she doesnt nap till about 330pm. Dun want her to get overtired but i dun know how to help her sleep longer. i've just been bf-ing her when she wakes up and most days i just try to pat her back to sleep till she wakes up again about 730am, try to squeeze in another another of sleep for her!

my gal tends to wake up ~half hr earlier than usual. Thou not much earlier but its stil a lot for the sleepyhead mum u know...
Lately whenever i wan to make her nap she'll refuse and scream and cry.. buay tahan lei.. how can dun sleep one.. Thou i know at this stage some are moving from 2 naps to 1 nap a day but if i can force i force lor.. wan my freetime lei.. *yawn*

yes, my boy has been waking up earlier than usual nowadays, despite waking up in the middle of the night too. and he has refused to nap till after his lunch and wakes up after 2 hours of sleep. so by 8pm plus, he'll start to get tired and cries alot. but he'll try to tahan and continue to play till 9pm plus before he falls flat on the bed after his last feed of milk for the day. my mum says its only temporary as they are adjusting to their daily nap time.

re: toddler nap
Lucas wld usually wakes up between 7-7.30am daily. His first nap wld be ard 11am for two hours. My mum wld usually be able to make him sleep again at 4pm for abt 1hr. But eg yesterday, I let him lie ard the bed since 3.30pm and only managed to force him to sleep at 5pm. And he will go to bed 10pm every nite.

I'm now thinking if I cld let him play throughout in the morning and let him sleep from 2-5pm and changing his afternoon 3pm milk time.
 
K nap only once a day. If she nap twice, then her night bedtime will drag till 10pm...
Think moomum's mum is right, they are 'adjusting'
 
my gal usually oso nap 2x daily, but that means she's usually a late nite owl, she won't slp until at least past 10.30pm on most days... and on occasions where she slps earlier is cos she naps only once.
 
thanks mummies! my girl takes only 1 nap on weekdays coz grandma can't seem to make her nap! haha..but on weekends, she can sometimes take 2 naps, a short one before lunch and a slightly longer one before dinner. I have been trying to start her bedtime routine as early as 8pm lately if we are home. coz after bath, bedtime story, feed she can take another half hour or more to actually fall asleep!

Similar to Jo. Jalen wakes up ard 7-7:15am. 1st nap is late morning 11am for abt 1.5-2hrs and 2nd nap around 4+pm for abt 1 hour.

Anyone knows what time is the nap time in CCC?

i jus went for tea la... too sleepy liao..

Nap:
Aiyorz dunoe wat happen lei.. lately her nap gets shorter and shorter.. sometimes 45mins wake up liao.. most of the time while i'm around she'll only nap less than 1.5hrs.. But when i'm at work, sometimes MIL say she can sleep for 2-3hrs..
 
my boy now also adjusting to 1 nap.. but normally just 1 hr nap..faint.. then if he stays at my mum place, he will sleep at 1030pm coz my mum wants to watch tv... ;p if he comes home with me, i will start to prep him to sleep at 8pm.. hee...
 
pnut, do u nap together with nini? i usually will nap together with my gal, i tink it kinda "encourage" them to slp when they see us slp.

last sat when we were taking a late PM nap, the moment i woke up (actually i was jus lying beside her) and walked out of the room, she's right behind me already and i thought she's still sound aslp. strange

me oso very sleepy and tired coz darius woke up at 2am last nite and went back to sleep at 4am. *yawnz*

I tink the reason why nini sleeps lesser when you are around is becoz she's sticky to you and her mind is still pretty active when she naps.maybe she's knows tat you are around, and can play with her thus she would wake up to look for you.
