wow..so lucky & nice leh..for all of them to be fraternal..cool!it must hv been interesting looking at the scan..lol..it's nice to hv ur mum helped looked aft the kids when u retn to work..surely u will need a maid or 2 if u can afford..maybe u shd get the maid in before u deliver so that she can get used to the environment..r u engaging a CL?but at least ur eldest boy is pretty big enough to be able to help out too..nice ah..ya..a didi for my #1..lol..i m happy as long as the kid is healthy coz i was on slimming pills earlier till i tested positive then i stopped taking..so as long as the kid is healthy..hee..

so envy u leh..didnt put on much weight..for me is crazy & scary man..i can put on like 2-3kg per 3 wks..argh..

wtan: is it your dog? so sorry. i know exactly how u feel. my whole family was heart-broken when our poodle died. he was like the first grandson. my mum still can't look at his picture without crying 3 yrs later.

actually i wish i can put on 2 kg per 3 weeks like u. i have only put on 3 kg since the beginning becos of my hyper-thyroid symptoms & i only have 4 mths to go unlike the rest of u.

bear thanks for the info abt the shop! i will surely go check it out soon. need some baby vests. but probably i will wait till after next fri's scan. donno y. v paranoid.

ah..mickey is my family's dog..or rather my sis's chihuahua..she made the decision to put him to sleep last fri 13th..so i m hoping that she will get over it soon coz mickey has been thru alot with mickey..

lilian: hee hee, i'm looking more for those in the range of $30 without the mattress. i know, cheapo cheapo. but i got to save as much as i can. i don't mind buying a new pram becos it will be used quite a lot. but cot is only for sleeping at nite. & my son grew out of his cot by the time he was 1 yr old. so i'm really v reluctant to pay much for it.

olwen, vincyl, I was trying to conceive beginning of last year but unable that's how i found out i'm hyperthyroid. Started medication in march and stopped trying to conceive. I stopped medication between june-july last year, because i overdose and turn from hyper to hypo. After changing my diet, i never resume my medication because subsequent test result gets better and eventually stabilised. This year successfully conceived

Okie, i did my homework. To make it more interesting, i'm putting up my 3 months tummy and my current tummy. See the big changes. this is so fun.

olwen, i read from the triplets blog (oh they are so cute!), during detail scanning, the sonographer will scan each bb individually to make sure everything is normal. But if any of the bb is hidden, then she/he will ask you to go walk walk and come back again to try scan the remaining bb. I did my scan on tuesday. Only 1 bb so very fast, less than 30 mins, finish. The sonographer even counts the fingers, check the spine, make measurements, check for cleft lips etc. My bb very cooperative, so able to scan everything and re-confirm the gender again.

so far cordlife's 1st payment was around 1.4k whereas stemcord is less than 1k. my fren advised me based on my gynae they have special rate @$850 nia.. so i tink i will opt for stemcord.
 
ah wtan, becos u just had no. 1 quite recently. my no. 1 is so big already, if i haven't lost the weight by now then something wrong. then again tt time i only put on 7 kg.

awwww, poor sister. but chihuahua r so small & fragile, like cat. my tonto was nice size, small but still can cuddle like teddy bear size.

happy, I signed up package with cordlife at the motherhood exhibition 2 wks back. Paid ard $1.1k. Didn't know my gynae charge so high for everything. I realise not only I have to pay separately for vitamins and fish oil, my gynae also charge $200+ more for collection of cordblood.

Olwen, Avent has 20% discount at Takashimaya baby dept. Fyi in case you might be interested in this brand.
 
dreamyjo: alamak, over-dose & go from hyper to hypo? was this at ttsh? i seriously dislike ttsh. except for the pharmacy where i can buy lots of organic products for my son. started from the time i caught dengue & had to go there for daily blood test. yuck.

thats so nice that your hubby can feel the baby kicks already. so far i have only felt the kicks on my belly once. and its a daily anticipation to feel it again. tried shaking my tummy and patting my tummy but still dun feel the kicks yet...

Thanks for the info.My fren told me to check if my gynec hav special rate. She asked me to sign up with stemcord too but i hav yet to find out more details from either of them.

My gynec oso charge separately for vit and fish oil.Think most gynec are doing that,which their package does nt include medi.

I din knw gynec need to charge extra for collection of cordblood. Then i got to check with her liao.

owen, initially i was with my ex-company doc who prescribe to take med twice a day, if not wrong 2 tablets at a time. there is another tablet to control my heartbeat. He refuse to refer me to specialist. Say he can handle my condition. When i quit my job and went to polyclinic for referral, my readings are already dropping. polyclinic doc reduce my dosage while i wait for the specialist appt at SGH. When i went for my specialist appt, she further reduce my dosage but the next time i visit her, i turn hypo so i need to stop medication.

Organic shop, there is one L'organic at dempsey road. Its more expensive. It has a website even. You can google the name on the internet. There's another shop call nature's glory in tan boon liat building. I prefer to go there as the fruits are cheaper than L'organic. These 2 shops sells quite a variety of organic stuffs. you can check it out.

Cordlife is exp becos they have some certificate of duno wat.. i forgot aready. initially i tot signing up with cordlife during the motherhood fair. but i see the price.. i said i go home reconsider.. after that then got to know my fren recommend me one is stemcord which is much cheaper. Since it serving the same purpose , so i might as well go for stemcord..
 
happy, I actually didn't ask my gynae about the cordblood thing before I sign up with cordlife. And this guy from cordlife told me so far only my gynae and/or some other few gynaes charge extra for the collection of cordblood.

After hearing you ladies jus mentioned abt stemcord, then I realise there are two companies doing cordblood storage. Perhaps I was too kan chiong to sign up the package at motherhood exhibition jus bcos of the discount. Tat's the problem with my greediness.

Re: cord blood banking
there are 2 banks in s'pore but dun just go for the cheaper one. they are different in the sense that one of them is accredited. Accreditation is impt when it comes to these things as it ensures that ur cord blood is stored at the optimum circumstances all the time. Also, u must see how they store it, like how long is the best period etc.

Haru, be patient. bb will kick u sooner or later one.

yalor the doc so kayu one, i dont trust doctors now. I believe in healthy living. dr say anything can eat. i think its bullshit lor. For better health, you have to change your diet. this is what i gather from my research. Anyway Because of the thyroid condition, i turn from a meat eater to nearly a vegetarian. drink loads of organic fruit juices and frequently do coffee enemas and increased my raw veggies intake. Sacrifice alot to get back good health.

now pregnant, diet is going downhill again.

i am suppose to be 18week and 4days pregnant... bt i still cant feel my bb. that is why i tell you i am worried. bt must clarify i am not the slim sort so ya before pregnant already got a small tummy hehe..

Alibaba, according to wat i read, once the blood is thawed it can't be reused. hence if u have multiple bags, only one bag is used each time. Means if first treatment isn't successful u have another 1 or 2 bags to use.
