Yes, i'm having mickey.
Wtan,
I have lots of pimples now and my hb said my tummy look sharp.. As for food, i have craving for fries and prefer fruits and vegetables. My bb don't like rice.
As for my hb, he also started to have craving for ice cream, seoul garden buffet, etc.. He never had craving before.

I think it is cheaper to get a maid. My colleague said the maid agency in Bukit Timah is good. A lot of mummies got their maid from there. My colleague told me that the maid there are trained to look after newborn. And she is quite happy with her maid. She paid $200++ for her maid insurance, mthly payment for maid levy, $175 and $325 for the maid salary. Her maid helps to look after the bb (day and night), cook for them and clean up the house.

Based on zhong yi advised, Birdnest should be taken after 5 mth. My colleague told me last week too late i have started taking birdnest liao. I bought EYS birdnest when they are having 20% discount. I also need to 炖. Fu hua birdnest is a lot cheaper but taste like drinking bleach. So not advisable to take.

With recording function allow u to record baby's and mummy's heartbeat as early as 5th week. To play recording to baby for soothing purpose after birth.
Not in time to fully utilize and record as i pop early in May.

Hi Bladers, we just got a maid from Made-To-Measure maid agency @ Coronation Plaza, Bukit Timah, 3rd floor (The bldg with NTUC at 1st floor). Heard that the female boss (Indonesian) actually fly over to Jakarta to pick maids from the agencies there. The one we employed was quite good as she has experience working in SG before and she learnt simple English and how to bath dogs @ training centre . We all have no problems communicating to her. Philipino maids are more expensive.
Hi, I like to ask you ladies here who are seeing Dr Adrian Woodsworth from TMC. When you visit this gynae during your first 3 mths, are you required to keep a full bladder so that he can scan to see the baby?
My fren visited him @ CCK yesterday. She is 10 weeks pregnant. She was not asked to keep full bladder and gynae actually scanned and couldnt see anything. So he actually use those scan equipment and insert from below (which my fren feels abit pain). And gynae showed her the baby head and body but said baby has no heartbeat. And she was asked to go back to him today for a checkup again.

i skipped dinner last nite and took a nap instead aft work. only had a cup of cereal oats and a small pau after nap. woke up early tis morning and my tummy was rumbling!!so ate veg bee hoon and bot a carrot juice for brekkie. the fruit juice aunty say i so fierce car, can drink fruit juice early in e morning. she said most pple have to go to the bathroom if they take fruit juice in e morning, hahah..but she told me not to take too much carrot juice or it will cause skin to turn orangy too. me been taking it almost everyday oh..i just love carrot juice and many other juice seems to be too cooling for preggie mummies..

my routine at gynae visit in 1st tri was: had to pee on a strip, take weight and blood pressure and gynae did v-scan coz i have an introverted (i can't remember exact name) uterus so v-scan makes it easier to view e baby. but by 2nd tri, gynae switchd to normal tummy scan already. for the v-scan shouldnt be painful as long as you relax.

I saw EYS concentrated birdnest too, they had promotion on mother's day too, but not father's day. hmm..don't think i will go for this as it need to be keep inside the fridge if cannot finish. i already stop taking cold stuff after pregnant as my body can't take it. Do u feel ur body warmer nowadays? mine still the same leh, dc said wait till 3rd tri then i will feel it.

That 1 is funny, like taking a pic from his bottom directly.

ya, some pple was saying for boy hor..ur tummy will look "sharper or pointed"..so from behind see ah..like u r not preggy..lol..then for girl hor..tummy smaller & rounder too..hee..i know when i was expecting #1..my hb & me was competeting to see who can eat more..lol..i read somewhere it seems that when u r expecting a boy..hb tend to eat more with u leh..lol..wow..u so healthy ah..eat fruits & veges..that time when i hv #1...i crave for cheese..pasta..pizzas with lotsa cheese on top..lol..

hw long does ur cleaner stay at ur place to do the cleaning? wat are the items she does? if u intend to get a maid..do u want the maid to help out taking care of the kid too? dun forget abt maid levy hor..think that's also q shiong..hee..also with a maid then u will "lose" ur privacy lo..so got pros & cons..

ya, some pple was saying for boy hor..ur tummy will look "sharper or pointed"..so from behind see ah..like u r not preggy..lol..then for girl hor..tummy smaller & rounder too..hee..i know when i was expecting #1..my hb & me was competeting to see who can eat more..lol..i read somewhere it seems that when u r expecting a boy..hb tend to eat more with u leh..lol..wow..u so healthy ah..eat fruits & veges..that time when i hv #1...i crave for cheese..pasta..pizzas with lotsa cheese on top..lol..

cham, hock hua bird nest so lousy taste huh? i bought some but havent tried. But it was recommended by a few of my colleagues leh.... next time when i try i let u know. but i doubt i can taste the difference coz normally i like sweet stuff so perhaps mostly taste the rock sugar taste only...

whether v-scan is uncomfy or not really depends on your gynae. I visited a female gynae in raffles hospital several times last time and she did v-scan for me. i felt she was so rough and it was painful and uncomfy. However, the gynae who delivered my gal and now i am going, i dun feel anything when he does v-scan.. honestly i find that male gynaes may be "gentler".... not sure how true but quite a lot of my gfs only want to stick to female gynaes...

i agreed with peanut, vscan actually not painful at all. It depends on the way the doc insert it. Also nurse always ask me to keep a full bladder for all the 1st tri scans, she even marked it down on my appointment card.
Those mummies with doc wong from TMC, do u know whether she has 3D scan at her clinic too?

I had V scan all the way till i was 8 wks. the way my gynae do it is quite ok. not pain at all. except sometimes when i m the first one at the clinic, the equipment just came out of the steriliser and it is very hot!
I am always asked to empty my bladder then. But i think there are many different ultrasound machines so may be the instructions are different.
My mum swears by Hock Hua's dried birdnest leh.. Bibi, not true abt the grading. although the bird's nest itself doesn't change, the AMOUNT of bird's nest present in different grade is not the same. Although i heard ppl say start taking bird's nest from 5th mth onwards, I have no idea why. let me ask a fren who is a TCM doc.
Jo, heard from my fren that the heartbeat listener is for 20 wks onwards but by then u shd be able to feel the bb kicks liao. so she told me not to buy lor.

the other time u mentioned that the nurse in the hospital passed the wrong bb to the mother for breastfeeding...did the parents complain? juz wonder did the hospital fire that nurse who made the grave mistake?

but hor, v-scan is nothing.....when they need to check for dilation, that is the MOST horrible and I hated it... eventhough gynae was gentle, but still i hope it is not necessary.... the midwives in gleneagles were ok... but i heard from some frens they experienced some other midwives elsewhere super super rough when they check for dilation...
