busybee, sorry i dun rem my brand of humidifier, but my purifier is honeywell heheee...

karen, i think we have diff requirements loh so questions wun be same. my maid not primary caregiver of my kids too, but i still need her to attend to them say if i am eating or my parents are not free. heeee.

R&R, but SK Metro only has the blue ones. Wanted a girly colour one!!

So I think let minibee play with my old 2 mega pix cam first and then if she really like then invest in the Little tikes one. Trying not to overspend on toys and save for a Kitchenette.

Joanne, no problem... Oh, since we discussing abt meal prep. Jts, I recently made an easy peasy quick meal for miki, Cheesy Mashed Sweet Potato with Beef and Brocolli. I parboil mince beef, brocolli and set aside with the stock. Then boil sweet potato till soft then I mash and mix with some cream cheese or laughing cow (light) cheese and stock, beef and brocolli and mix. Very easy and quick to prepare and she LOVES it.

busy bee
that means it's much cheaper at Taka bb fair? Maybe I should go back to grab it.

daisy
Heh I know. But I also know now from your questions that I should be asking more questions than before.

busy bee,
thanks for the recipes. i have a similar one but use potato instead. rianne also likes it. i think it's because of the cheese.

Hi Mummies,
Tink i m alone here now. read that many of u had been gg to sales after sales. Envy.... Me now busy with my new place. Gg to have great damages from it. From mattress to other stuff in d house. No time to shop for claudia. She is now hooked to cooking games. She will pretend to cook for us to eat and feed us with her faked food. She recently also became a doctor. My ILs brought toys for her.

Maid:
So far my maid has been a good helper. No one is perfect but so far no prob from her. Very good working attitude- pro active and hardworking, attentive and fast learner.

XY, bear in mind I saw the item last thurs and only abt 3 to 4 pieces left. So not sure if its still there. Another great buy is the Mickey Mouse counting toy, Mickey counts from 1 to 10 when pushed forward and countdowns 10 to 1 when car is pushed backwards. I got that for Miki as she is a big fan of Mickey mouse and cars. Only $10. Do bear in mind items come in old ratty looking packaging thus the low price.

Penny, congrats on ur new home and great that u found wonderful help. Good help is really hard to come by.

Jelly, I have saved the glass bottles for u. Just let me know when and I can arrange to pass them to u. Maybe during the next gathering.

vanilla,
Yeah, i saw the clarks shoes today. $39 per pair. Very good buy. But hubs stopped me from buying cos i already ordered shooshoos. Heehee! Maybe i shall sneakily go buy them on a weekday.

Busybee,
I have 2 humidifiers at home. 1 in my room and another in regina's room. I've been using a humidifier even before i was pregnant cos my throat would feel very dry in the morning when i wake up but with the humidifier it's much better. Bought one for regina shortly after she was born. I've used osim and advante before. The osim is totally useless and lousy. I like the advante. It's quite reliable. The one in my room is my 2nd set. Got it at best denki for $69 during a promo. But it's not those cute cute kind.

thanks for sharing the recipe. Sounds yummy but will have to try it out without cheese cos regina can't take cheese.

Oh could miki's rash be due to the scallops?

taka baby fair:
bought a portable mosquito repellent.

Wanted to get huggies diapers but not that cheap so didnt.

saw the peg perego latest model. Quite cool. It's one hand fold and carry. Not that heavy too. Damn! They should have had it before our bubs were due.

Was trying to look out for wooden toys but not much. Only musical instruments which regina already has.

Mint, oh we went out to get one at the nearby mall. Didn't see the advante one.

Sounds good tho. We got some Korean brand, its also not a cute one. But a egg shape one and the spout rotates. At first I chose the Hello Kitty one but decided to get one with a rotating spout instead and preferred a Korean made vs China made one. Hopefully it will help her since the runny nose is really bothering her. Antihistamine helps but it comes back after a while. My fear is the post nasal drip will develop into an infection. Sigh...Now I am worried it might be the improved GainIQ causing it. As we also started on the new improved formula on Wed. Everytime we change or advance her to a new stage formula her body reacts. So we are monitoring. Rash can't be due to scallops as she had it for the first time on Sun and rash only developed on Wed.

Portable Insect Repellent, is it the Chicco one?

Vanilla/Mint, what Clark's deal?? Tell me!!! May have missed the post.

busybee,
The advante is made in Korea and stupid Osim made in China. Paid so much more for the Osim one. So I think you made the right choice in going for the korean made one. heehee! I'm just biased.

Yes, I got the Chicco one. :p

Clarks shoes at the taka baby fair going for $39 per pair.

busybee,
$39 good buy...

Karen,
There's another Pat's at Arena country Club in Jurong.

Anyone heard of Eureka Schoolhouse? It's an associate with Pat's.

Mint - go on wkday n buy the clarks shoes. I need measure my boy's feet n will get him a sporty pair. Heehee can't go shopping w hb one, sure restrict one.

Busybee- it is a gd buy given the original price is like adult shoes price!

hi karen, actually i did sorta check out the Eton Upp Bt Timah branch but I snooped around the place instead. Did not go into the classes because I also din make an appt.

Eton's school fees vary according to the location. The one in town is about 4k more than some of the other branches. Having said that, it charges the same rate for both half and full day. I did not go with Eton because the place is quite small and I personally find the school a bit disorganised (at least for the branch I contacted - left i think 2 - 3 messages but no one called back. had to call the main office and finally someone called back. the person whom I spoke to was not that well spoken, which was a shock to me. that branch was a tad run down and dirty to me. they used their own curriculum and for CL, the chinese teacher floats. HTH

mint: when they listed it down as an associate, they basically use the same curriculum as Pats - lesson plans. 'Cos I checked out one of such just behind my place at Almond Crescent and this was how she explained to me.

Morning Mummies,

Seems like quite a number of mummies splurge big time at the Taka Baby Fair, any good deals? Update us please!!

Mint, how was ur visit to Namly branch?

Dimpletot, hee hee!! I think YPG bot some learning dvds. Looking at price tag, prob the GD ones.

Any bubs attempting to climb out of their cots yet? Minibee has been putting her foot on the cot rail a few times now. I think its a matter of time before she can climb out.

hi busybee - haha on sat i went there and bought 2 pairs of clarks shoes. the bad thing is the sizes r rather limited. Some really cool looking ones (for boys)r all small size!!

I am planning to make a trip just to stock on T-shirts for home + outside wear..saw some disney ones - my boy LOVES mickey mouse.

oh also when i was Qing i saw this really amazing video on how this little girl 2.5yrs old can read a book! so the product is to sell some homebased teaching kit. When this girl is like 15mths++ her dad writes like toes and she will pt to her toes. Really impressive. Maybe i will check that out too.

dimpletot: ya ya, just saw YPG's shout. we got the same thing. I got Little Math too.

Jelly/Vanilla: they offer a free download for this system. Did you ladies try? Some kids are interested and some may not so you may want to suss it out first.

Vanilla, how's the range for girl's clark shoes? Did u notice. I am thinking of going down to get some clark shoes for minibee. Oh my gal hears Mickey mouse too!!

The Dvds sound like The Baby Can Read dvds.

Morning ladies...

hi busy bee - i notice they have more girls shoes than boys...

Jelly - maybe tom...when are u going down? have pm u already

Buffy,

Haha... I din get the Little Maths cause I want to try the Little Reader 1st. I will get the Little Maths later if it works. But I am impressed cause my gal who cant sit still for a sec sit still for a few minutes, also, when the video ask her, can u clap, she clap. We try for several months, she never do upon our request. Maybe our pronounication not as clear as the video ba.

Also, they got free Chinese download n many more on their website.

Those interested can go take a look: http://www.brillkids.com

YPG, I am too lazy to download and install all over again lor. Since was there, just went ahead to buy everything. Thats why I am not a good shopping buddy. Hahahahahaahahaha

Jelly - Rem you saying you wanted to get a bassinet for Sid. The baby fair has great deals for bassinets! I got a Graco one. For breastpads, Pigeon is having a promo. 1) 36 pads in 1 box = $8.90; 2) 60 pads in 1 box = $11+. The latter was oos in the fair, but go up the children's corner in Taka and you can get the same deal. I stocked up quite a bit on these. Baby wipes great bundle deals too. Think $19 for 6 big packs.
On pumps, they have the usual Medela, Avent, Pigeon.
Those who want to get foldable bed rails, they have promo at 2 for $49.90. Great deal.
And for those who buy $150 and above on FP stuff, you get a free 4R photo shoot onsite. Vic had a wonderful time posing manz!!
And if you spend a total of $200 at the fair, you get some towels set. If spend $350 and above, you get a foc Lil Tikes Xylophone + a bag of FOC baby stuff (CD, wipes, tissue, key chain, baby wash etc)

ruffles
hee, went last friday w my hubs... already spent $370plus... if i go the next round, i may invest in a freestyle... so that is anothe $800
sad.gif

Jelly - Hee. Let's just say our expenditure is justified cos we are buying essentials and have economies of scale! Go claim your Taka Card points and convert into Cash at L2 then!
