<font color="0077aa">morning!

Mint/Karen/Joanna: Am ok to meet at other places if you have any suggestions; just wanted something fun for the bubs.

Any other suggestions?

Mint: Thanks for the feedback. That was actually something that I was thinking about too. 'Cos St J is really near my place and I know structure wise, it would be closer to a Pri school but with Cate's personality, I know that she prob would prefer a different envt... If I recall, Chiltern House's school fees are like over $800 after subsidy? So, for mummies who are not working, then there is no subsidy which would be quite high ya?</font>

<font color="aa00aa">Buffy
I'm given $150 subsidy every month cos I'm not working. For working mother, I think it is about $300 or more?</font>

Hi mummies, been reading on n off but nv post seems slot of mummies having tiger babies..

Abt sch, the food is really little cos my niece was like forever hungry n she eats alot for dinner at hm but I guess can tell the sch to give extra serving ba...

I intend to put princess in sch at 3..
Btw, can I ask if it's normal tat my Kyra is not talking?
Could it b speech delay?
I talk to her alot n she understands me but is not talking..
Not even mama...
Shd I b worried or like mil say she just not ready to talk?

Hi,

The issue about not talking sparks my interest to post. My daughter is not interested in talking real words too. She seems very talkative and can talk to me for a long time but in alien language. And when I reply back randomly, she replied again... also in alien language.... And this can go on and on. The only words she can really say is ball, daddy, mum mum (food), duck, bird and glup glup (means fish) and woof woof (dog). Thats about it.

finally! i can log in here today..

buffy,
hmm.. what about fidgets? peekaboo? or do you prefer to go to a mall?

jen,
should be ok. i know of two babies that didn't start talking until after 2. but when they started talking, the words were quite clear. i guess some babies want to be really sure they can do it before they start talking. but if you're really concerned, maybe ask your PD about it.

Yup. Will have the whole morning free but then I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it anot cos somehow I pity my gal. She is only 19mths when she starts her playgroup. Feel a bit heartpain.

My gal can only speaks a few words like "mama", "papa, "dad dad", "jiejie", "mummum", "baobao", "no more", "nite nite", "no no", "dog dog", "apple" and "pear". PD said it is good enough for her to know these words. After 18 mths she shall start to speak more.</font>

In tat case I jus wait patiently for her to talk. She does occasionally call papa n ah ma n sometimes ma~ when she wants somthing real bad but other then tat no...
We caught her speaking out clearly a few times but is like a one time off incident...
I was wondering if going to sch early helps?
But on the other hand I prefer her to jus enjoy her 3 yrs of eat, sleep n play life before playgroup @ 3..

My son is coming to 2.5yrs soon but till now he still cannot speak in a complete sentence. Eversice he starts to go to playgroup he has become more vocal and can see that he is speaking more. Most pple told me not to worry bcos boy tends to be slower their speech. True enough in my son's playgroup, 2 girls of his age can speak very well but most boys in his group still cannot speak in sentence except 1-2 of them.</font>

Hi Mummies..

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year and Happy Valentine's Day!! Hope everyone will have a prosperous 'Tiger' year ahead!!

Mummies who want tiger baby, Jia You!!!

<font color="0077aa">mousebb: for FTWM, the subsidy for half day is $150 and full day CC is at $300. 'Cos I intend to put C in for only half day, so it is $150 for us. For SAHM do you still get $150 for half day too?

Joanne, where about is Fidgets located? Another place I know is Go-Go Bambini but that place needs a car to enter so it may be inconvenient. </font>

<font color="aa00aa">Wish everyone a <font size="+1">"Happy &amp; Prosperous New Year"</font> ! Hope to hear good news from more mummies soon! Jiayou!

And <font size="+1">Happy Valentine's Day</font> too! </font>

<font color="0077aa">mousebb: i think it is the full day one that for SAHM it still remains at $150 if I am not mistaken...

And yes, Here's wishing all a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year. May this year be a smooth one for all of us, our bubs and loved ones. Here's to great year ahead!</font>

jon is so cute!

jen
think dun worry abt their speech...i read that what we may need to watch out for is non-responses to detect hearing problem... that is, if u call kyra's name and she dun response, that could be an issue but she need not be responding to you now in speech.

btw, my ger also cant say alot of words... my family will be over joyed if she canr esponsd in words spontaneously... like when we are going out, whe will say bye bye to us. other than that, she just mimics what i say...

Ladies,

Wishing all of you 生龙活虎 in the coming Tiger Year to handle our hyperactive mouse toddlers.

Today I am so so so happy. Manage to bake a birthday cake for myself n the teachers in my dept love it! Also, my ex students came visit me and told me they miss me. I am so touched.

My 4 year old started speaking early but then he stalled and when he was two years old to 3 plus, he barely spoke. He could read but he barely spoke. Now he's chattering away alot.

Ian doesn't say very many words. He says "daddee" "mama" "Baobao baobao" "baobao babeee eeyan" "chicken" "cookie" "yao chi" "bo (for ball)" "yay" "yi er san shi wu", "buh buh with wave" "zai jian with wave" Most of the time he talks in baby language and grunts at us.

I love the curriculum at Chiltern House. My 4 year old was in playnest and playclub and I was very impressed with the curriculum at Julia Gabriel. I'm very impressed with the curriculum at Chiltern House too. Plus the uniform is very cute.

buffy, karen, joanne, busybee,

There's this cafe at turf city where the mummies can lounge around and chat while the bubs play right in front of us. Think it's called scrumptious cafe or something like that...

Why do u think the water play area at vivo is dirty? Looks fine to me leh. Went on a weekday. Empty. Marcus enjoyed himself. Weekend, the crowd puts me off. Plus worried that Marcus will get knocked over.

Happy CNY mummies! Happy v'day too!
