Oh, on the link to how to influence the gender of your next baby (some of us were chatting about that during lunch yesterday &amp; I mentioned having a link) -- this was suppose to be the link a friend shared, but the article has been moved i guess. http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/women.html

So anyway, maybe u can refer to this instead: http://www.thelaboroflove.com/chart/cal.html
It is a gender predictor based on ur age &amp; month of conception - can track back for your baby &amp; see if it was accurate? Suppose to be some some ancient chinese calendar unearted from some emperor's tomb, and 99% accurate!
Then for baby no. 2, just make sure you try ur best to conceive on the months that have a higher likelihood of getting a boy/girl based on ur age then.

<font color="aa00aa">hah, yes, i will faint if i get another hyper Energizer bunny boy for baby no. 2! Have to make sure we time it properly! Anyway, tell me if the chinese calendar thing is accurate for your current baby!

Millie - i didn't see the group photo in your FB site leh.</font>

Hi limay,
another big thank you for ordering the play-yard!

btw, that day forgot to clear out my car, so had to abandon the big box at the dustbin area.

baby k is so cute! mini miow don't have such strong reaction when he is placed inside the playyard. if he is alone, he will grumble a bit.

tried the baby calendar, chinese calendar not accurate for me, but the english one is accurate.

Hi, Ladies.

I am thinking of getting my daughter the Ferrari Teko Convertible Car Seat. Just wondering if anyone of you has tried it before? My daughter's getting too long for her current back-facing seat...

hi mummies,
need your advice. my boi has been diagnosed with a sensitive nose. it makes him very cranky, whether awake or asleep, bcos of the blocked nose. he doesnt sleep in air-coned room, our house is swept and mopped everyday.
i dun wish to rely so much on medications. have been giving him the medicine for sensitive nose every night, but i am worried if he consume it for long term. any other remedy?

twendy
a few options you can go for. try to make your living place and bedroom as allergen free as possile. so items such as teddy bears or books, things which accumulates dust should not be in his bedroom.beddings to be changed very regularly.

there are a few things also, air purifier and a very good vacuum is important. i heard Rainbow vacuum is very very good when your child has sensitive airways, many mummies i know whose children have sensitive airways use this and swear by it...

dun believe it when people tell you to let the child build up immunity against it. coz sensitive airways not a bug you cannot build immunity. you have to make sure it doesnt flare up too much when they are young else might developed into long term problem like bronchitis and asthma...

of course you can try to remove possivle allergen in his life like certain food, environmental allergen etc...

hi,

looks lik you all have a great get-together

Hi, mummies
Do all the babies here already teething?
I just notice my ger start teething yesterday. Saw a white line, while i trying to clean her mouth.

I know many mummies here are cooking porridge for their babies. Has anyone tried pig's liver yet? Do you know if we can give pig's liver to our babies yet? And dried scallops too? Other than spinach, what other kinds of green vegetables can we give to our babies? Sorry for asking so many questions.

wingkei
pig's liver is actually very very nutritious coz it's very high in iron. im sure if you girl doesnt mind the taste it's ok...and also rem to cook it well.i dun give pig's liver and substitute with organic egg yolk for the iron.reason being im a paranoid mummy and i cannot find fresh organic liver in singaproe.

scallops are supposed to be yummy, but they contains preservatives. not sure if you wan to give your girl before 1...i use that occasionally for my toddler boy though,,,guess it;s ok bah.

brocolli?many mummies use spinach coz it's the most nutrients dense, even more vitamin A and iron than brocolli...

hi li-may,

ya, all those studio shots are soo cute.

am planning to bring my baby for studio shots too.
Mummies, care to recommend any? Share the budget too...thanks ah..

Thanks l'l CY^^l'l CH for the advice. I've not given my baby any egg yolk, worried about allergy so decides to wait till she is one before giving it to her.

wingkei
allergies for egg white. not egg yolk.egg yolks is one of the best weaning 'meat' food coz it's it contains all minerals and protein as well as iron for bb. you have to slowly introduce egg white before her MMR jab anyway.

BARLEY WATER
Can it be re-boiled again and again? Or have to discard the barley away after 1st boil huh?
What is the best way to keep barley water? Can serve cold to bb mah?

COUGHING WITH PHELGM BB
Any food to recommend tat will help to reduce phlegm huh?

BB TOOTHPASTE
My bb finally got 2 mini tooths. Anyone start using the bb toothbrush and toothpaste to rub their mouth?

MINI RED SPOTS ON BB HEAD
Anyone experiencing tat? Mine got a few specks of red spots on bb head. Wonder whether issit heat rash manz!

Goldfish - barley. can reboil but no need, just use your warmer to warm up the water. better not serve cold at lest warm.

mine have 3 teeth but have not started on tootpaste.

are you still BF? of yes, then avoid grapes, ribena, milo as it causes phlegm to bb. else boil pear with the nan xhin bei xin and give it to bb.

want to check out if were to bring baby out for swimming what have to bring, prepare and to take note of

wingkei- wat my mum did was to use 1/2 the tea spoon put inside cereal for baby to eat..

<font color="aa00aa">wingkei (wingkei) - i have been giving egg yolk to Kieran for a couple of weeks now. Just have to make sure its thoroughly cooked.

For me, one way is to cook the egg with minced chicken and a tad of butter, then puree the chicken, and add into seperately cooked porridge (porridge with sweet potatoes or pumpkin, carrots, etc...the last time i cooked it with wolfberries as well
happy.gif

Else i cook the egg with cod &amp; some ginger pieces (to get rid of the fishy smell).</font>
