Hi mummies, just want to share this good deal in printing photobooks & developing photos! Very cheap & prints quality is not too bad! I printed about 65pcs 4R print for only about $7.50? Its in US $$ but they mailed from HK so I suppose HK is cheaper?

Hi Kym,

You did a great job! I think your photos are really well taken even though I have not seen my son's yet (guess he was the first one last Sat) :p

Overall, I think you have the heart to capture those different expressions of the babies, as can be clearly seen in your picassa webpage.
You will make a wonderful photographer. Use this portfolio to do some marketing for your future business

Thumbs Up!

Cheers

Hopefully you can organise this again when our babies are one yr old, one and half yr old, to just capture them at different ages, cause they really grow up too quickly. and changing every single day.

Have a great day to all other Mummies!

Kym,

To add, let me know if you come up with a photo package for yr new biz - to capture our babies at different stages (1 yr mark, 1 1/2 or 2 yr mark)

Would be great.

Have a fruitful shooting session today! cant wait to see more great works...

chillicrab, haha! Yeah, it's tough to get baby to pay attention to you all the time. Well, it doesnt matter, just talk to him...I guess after so many repetition, I'm sure it will get through to him!
happy.gif
Good luck!

Bigtoes, I booked Club Med this time for the convenience since I'm bringing Jaden ( they have a baby package where they will include baby cot, steriliser, pram etc ). Waaaah......private villa with pool! I love it. I tried it the last time when I was in Maldives and boy, it got me hooked on Villa with pool! But it's so expensive so can only do it for very very special occasion! Enjoy!

BTW, can someone advise me how to reduce the file size to upload the pic? They dont allow me to upload cos my filesize is too big???

Kym,

All the photos are quite well-taken

Hi skinny pig,our aircon at home is very dirty or they recycle the air again and again.

Doc got recommend to use air purifier to stimulate the air.

but dunno where to get it.. not cheap rite ?

Kym Kym
Great n nice photo taken.
Too bad my boy dun get the chance.
Hope next time his mummy is fast enough to grab a place for him.

Yun,

If aircon dirty, call those servicemen to clean up the aircon..

I do come across air purifier at those push cart when I go shopping @ IMM.. But don't know how much they cost. And they comes along as aromatic as well..

My baby sleep in the aircon room every night and sometimes in the afternoon if it's too warm.
He's one very sweaty baby so need to cool him down.
I dont use air-purifier but I have a humidifier in my room so it's not too dry for his delicate skin since he sleep in aircon room everynight

If aircon is dirty shld get the serviceman to come and clean. For through clean up, they clean the piping as well. A good air purifier can set you back by about $500-$700? Also, always air your room in the day so the room will not be stuffy??

Yun,
my ger sleep in air con room, just imagine, i was feeding her milk, whole of my arm is full of her sweats.
I'm thinking of getting air purifier also, but still thinking.
Can find it at DIY shop, osim, also contain Ions, but as for the push carts, i'm not sure.

thanks bigtoes.

hi kymkym

too bad i miss the chance. the photos look great..just how do u do that.

hi yun, JP
my girl also sleeps in aircon room at night. We have installed a ceiling fan so that she does not feel hot else she will have a sweaty head and body..

hello! been ages since i've logged in here.
so many new ppl too!

l'l cy: i'm back in may. may 8 to dunno when. catch up then?

yun: i do let him sleep in a/c room but i don't use purifier. but sometimes use humidifier cos the air in a/c room tends to be a bit dry.

storeberry: thanks for sharing the link! shall go check it out. oh! let's meet up too in may okie?

JP (jnp) - Jayden is cute! Like his spikey hair cut. Btw, the villa I booked in Bali is actually pretty cheap - no where near how much you would have paid for yours in Maldives! Think cos its away from the main touristy area like Kuta beach etc...

Sweaty babies - yucks, guess all our babies are sweaty and smelly still cos they cannot really regulate their body temperature yet? I am glad Kieran is not the only grubby baby!
happy.gif

Sweaty babies,

Yeah.. My Baby K only sweat like nobody business. Just put him on the ground and let him crawl for a mere 5 mins, he can end up with whole head and hair of sweat... Yucks!!!

hehehe.. so many sweaty and smelly babies here.

Aircon is not good for baby's nasal and breathing system. should avoid aircon as much as possible.
I let baby sleep with fan and opened window in day time and aircon in nite time, but found that little J will sneeze or "ngek" (like got mucus ) every morning after wake up.

so think to get those reputable brands of air purifier or let baby sleep with fan at nite time too

Aircon Room & Humifier
My baby gal sleeps with us in the aircon room every night. I bought the osim humifier (egg shape) at $100 because at one time I was having sore eyes and running nose (sinus) every morning. I read that humifier will help so bought it to try out and it does seem to work as I don't have those problems anymore.

I think the other functions of a humifier includes providing moisture to the air so our skin will not be too dry in the aircon room and the osim one also claim that it will emit ions that will stick themselves to the dust in the air so the dust will fall onto the floor and will not fly about in the air, and the air becomes "purified" in this way. Don't know if it really works lah, but at least that's what it says.
happy.gif
The air purifier will be much more expensive than a humifier because it's more complicated, has filters, etc.

Bigtoes - You bring Kieran for a swim every weekend right? Do you apply sunblock for him? I thought just bring baby to shaded area to swim to avoid the sun, but my colleague says better to apply baby sunblock too...hmm...

Hey Kym,

Don't let what other people say let you down.
Your photos are great and they will only get better with time.
You've really got some good shots from what I've seen already.
Looking forward to see more.
happy.gif

Guess those people have to manage their expectations better. You cant expect 6 star treatment if you're not spending 6 star amounts.

Don't overwork yourself too!

SarahMay,
Welcome back to SG
happy.gif
Long time never see u here. Still rem me ?? I'm your Sec sch schoolmate.

Kym,
Don get disheartend. U can't please everybody. Just try your best. I'm surprised u can do this P/T despite having a F/T job...wow !!!

BTW Kym , juz want to add on...IMO, it's quite hard to catch bb's smiles. Alston is actually a smiley baby, however, he don smile whenever i took a snapshot of him. He could be on megawatt smile 1 sec earlier, but the min i clicked the camera, he stopped ...urggghhhh
kao_sad.gif

chillicrab (chillicrab) - K swims every other weekend or so (when we aren't too lazy to bring him down to the pool). We usually go at around 5+pm when it is not so hot, and stay at the shaded area. I haven't been applying sunblock though...a little bit of indirect sun exposure should be okie
happy.gif

Millie (millie22) - Simley babies - Kieran still smiles quite abit when we take photos, but then he takes abit of time to warm up to strangers. He wasn't quite so smiley when we went for his photoshoot, but luckily warmed up and the photographer managed to snap some smiley shots. But yah, its not always easy catching babies' smiles...really depends on their mood/personality/luck, so parents shouldn't be expecting too much at these shoots.

talking about weather , recently weather is too hot till around evening i have to bath baby K. he love it very much. wanted to bring him to swimming pool but when i use a cloth that is run under the tap water to clean his face, he was like very scared of the cold

hey mommies..anyone of your baby is getting super sticky now???

EJ is now very sticky to me and my aunt(who is the caregiver during the day)... whenever he saw me.. he will look at me with the super "ke lian" look and cry ... he will cry until i go over to carry him...

same thing for my aunt... any of your baby is like that????

Bigtoes - Yeah I think I'll just save on the sunblock and bring her to a shaded area to swim instead!
happy.gif

Koras - Weather is really soooo soooo hot! Walking around the house feels like baking in oven..have to stay in the air-conditioned bedroom always!

Jeraldin - My baby is starting to "whine" a lot nowadays. She's not crying but more of blabbling non-stop till someone gives up and go over to carry her! haha

Jeradine: My baby also like that, he tend to whine & "teh" more when I am at home!

Sure sarah!!! Sms me!

Kym: I enjoyed myself during the PS even though smallberry was not his usual happy self. You were nontheless very patient!! Thumbs up for the great work & singing!! LOL

hi jeraldin! haven't logged in in a while... my bb is extremely sticky too. at times, she'll cry even when i'm like 1m away from her, and if i begin to walk towards the door, her screams will escalate...

mommies whose bbs are cruising
are they still crawling now that they are able to cruise?

Chilicrab,
Mentioned abt air purifier with my husband. his answer is always no need lah no need lah.. damn sianzzzz.....
after I nag nag nag, he then say can consider about humifier...hohoho rather than no loh...

Hi Pei, can't watch ur video.
can add me on FB at [email protected]

chillicrab (chillicrab) - i think i would care more about applying sunblock if Kieran was a girl, but boys are meant to be tanned anyways! He doesn't go out under direct sunlight during the crucial period in anycase, so exposure is limited.

xuanting (xuanting) - wow your girl is even more sticky than Kieran. He cries for me and would crawl into the other room to look for me only when he is bored.
Cruising - Kieran is cruising but still crawling. I think its because he can get around very fast by crawling since he has had about 2+ months of practice but is still unsteady when cruising (my place also has limited furniture for him to hold on to for cruising).

Hihi

I just made a new 'discovery'!!!
I realized that my milk bottles look 'cloudy' if i see it through the light!
