wow so many mickeys here liao! Congrats to those mtbs
I went for my gynae checkup today. Didn't managed to see any 'birdie'....keke.. but my gynae said it may be just the position is not good enough coz my baby's legs didn't open very big. So we still need to wait until my detailed scan next mth to confirm gender.
My DS is scheduled on 19th March.
Also asked him about my placenta's position. He asked me not to worry coz it is not dangerously low now. And also it's still too early to raise any concern.
After that I went to Suntec to shop. Went to Spring Maternity, spent about $100 on 2 tops, 1 capri pants and 1 denim skirt. Then went to Perfect Mum and spent about $250 there! There I bought 6 maternity cum nursing bras and 1 blouse. Bought so many bras coz actually my normal bras also very old liao (keke...coz i rarely buy bras) and getting very tight now.

Just wanted to share with you ladies that the National Library is giving out free gifts for mums/mums-to-be. I happen to pop by the Woodlands Library and saw the poster. You just need to produce your NRIC to get the free gifts.
The gifts include:
-Baby's Height Chart
-Baby Journal
-Baby's First CD
-Booklet on parenting
Not bad
Think you can collect from every lib except the one at esplanade.

I was looking for denim miniskirt coz I love wearing them. I like the one at Spring. But it wasn't on sale. Quite expensive le, cost $59.90. But good thing is it can be worn until full term coz got adjustable waist.
The 2 tops and capri pants I bought was very casual ones only. Ok lah, can wear at home or when go out nearby. Those are on sale, so is cheap cheap only.

Hi all
went for scan yesterday..confirmed that my bb is a gal..it was what i expected..had a feel it would be a gal..but i felt a little disappointed as i dunno how my inlaws will feel..think they all expected for a boy cuz hubby is only son...hubby was also expecting a boy..dunno y but felt he was a little disappointed..though he didn't show it..my own family also expected it to be a boy..so infact..everyone all thought it would be a boy..all i can do now is tell myself that as long as bb is healthy...everything will be fine...but a little hard when everyone seemed to be disappointed..

YLN, dun feel disappointed. More over is only ur #1. so boy/gal also ok. Is natural for PIL to wish for a boy, cant blame them. Even my hubby is not the only son they also hope for boy. But I got a feeling mine is gal too. In fact i prefer gal coz can doll her up. But like u, PIL & hubby wish for a boy. Anyway is a gift to us, so we should b more than glad so long the baby is healthy

cocomo, I think at CC the teachers will help to educate him about the arrival of new sibling and teach him sharing skills. I think that's impt as working mums dun hv the time to do so.

my bb was quite good gal..open leg during scan...its not the detailed one..but the normal scan was obvious enough...gynae scanned from diff angles..took about 5 min..press here and there...n finally say its a girl cus got one angle very obvious got nothing in between legs..

i also feel the same... all those around me want me to have a boy cos im not young anymore... but i wanted a gal all these while... so i tried to ignore what my parents and PIL's expectation as i dont want to get stressed or angry unneccesarily... during CNY, my hubby's nanny said very loudly that this time dun want gals anymore cos my PIL aledi has 2 granddaughters (from my hubby's sis)... i could also see the disappointment in my hubby when my gynae commented could't find the stick in between my baby's legs anymore during my last visit... at the end of the consultation, my hubby actually wanted my gynae to do the scan again until my gynae commented today look more like a gal and my baby very noti cos previous visit showed her something and now dont... better wait for detailed scan to confirm gender...

Dun impose pressure on yourself that you must have boy in order to please them! forget other people's expectations and opinions. it will be never ending. when i didn't want baby. mil say must have at least one. now preg, say when shld try for no.2. if first one boy, it doesn't just end there....they'll say hopefully next one girl. how to please?!! i have friends who tried for a girl but keep having boys ...4 boys! she was so upset. for me, i love girls. they know how to manja, love family, go shopping with u when they are older. i've seen little girls at an age of 2 or 3 already taking care of their toddler sibling. hubby and i always envy and feel that it's just so cute

i think i was inside the changing room when you were there. Coz i was inside for quite long time. Either the saleslady or my hubby was bringing clothes for me to try. Did u see a guy there? I think my hubby was only guy there then...keke
The bras are also maternity bras i.e. can start wearing now. The saleslady keep saying to keep away my old bra and must start wearing these ones. She keep saying normal bras not good for our breast development. I'm a sucker for these sales pitch lah....see lah, end up I buy so many.

think u have alot of hormones ba, my friend puked until she is 5 or 6mths preg. she can't tahan so asked dr for pills to eat, she can only stomach pizza n coke. the dr tokld her, jus eat what she can stomach cos the baby needs food. eat pizza better than empty stomach. alternative for coke is sprike cos no caffeine. take care! find the food that works for u

when i went there, no one was at the fitting room lei. the omy ones trying were my friend n i. oh, i prob missed u cos i spent some time in this children wear shop called :chateau de sable. i was drooling at those pretty dresses and stuffs for girls n sulking at the limitation for boy;s stuffs
think i better stop sulking about not having a girl cos my last scan, my baby 's size is not growing as much although still in normal range. then edd changed from 2 back to 4aug. didn;t know baby can be so affected by how we feel till now
