Blocked Ducts
I remember some of you here are prone to blocked ducts. Me also. This morning I pump one side only got 20 ml normally can yield 100 ml. I pressed my breast and can feel harden lump. I pumped again, can't come out. Finally, I hand express and the milk spray out non-stop. After a while, I pump again and finally can yield 100 ml as usual.

When breastfeeding #2, I kenna mastitis at 2 months. Pray hard, no more mastitis. I never ask LC to massage, only eat antibiotics prescribed by GP and try my best to clear the blocked ducts myself.

2 days ago, i had fever of around 38.5 and i also noticed hard lump on my left breast. wondering if this is mastitis? how do u massage to remove the blocked ducts? usually i will hand express after every pump but these few days, the left lump is still there and no matter how i press, the milk tat affected area, still no milk spray out.

Dani's been having really dry skin recently, very dry and scaly. And I realised those dry areas are where her spots are. Wanted to put lotion for her but I dont have any that are suitable.
Ordered Calendula Cream from Pinkcream liao but ETA 20th Oct, Dani's skin cant wait that long ah.. chiam liao.

My girl also has dry skin and PD say its slight eczema. He told me to buy hazelinecream to apply on the face. (remember i said before that my girl has rashes or pimples on the face but clear already still chor chor?) It seems to be working and the skin is not so dry now. Maybe you wanan try? Think it is quite gentle and it is also easily available. If u wanna get CB i think you can get it off the shelf from some shops in Singapore but it is more expensive. Shucks my lousy memory ... forgot where ... ... Let me go and find out ..

On Thawing FBM,
I am storing them at 1oz stick each. However, I wonder how am I suppose to thaw them? Coz have to instruct my MIL on the method but myself also not very sure.
Are we suppose to thaw all of 1 day's supply together? E.g. if bb drinks 600 ml in 1 day, are we to thaw all 600 ml together? If i store them in sticks and in zip lock bags in the freezer, where should i put them to thaw? Also in zip lock bags? Or use other containers? And should I separate them into the exact amt for each feed ... very confusing.... Pls help me!!! =( I very scared my MIL cannot handle the frozen bm then kanna wasted. Its only recently then her skin becomes dry and its so dry that her skin is beginning to peel and forming new red spots. I see le very upset.
How did your girl de pimples/rash go away? Medicated cream or it just go away by itself? And how long did your girl have them before its gone?
The Hazeline cream, do I rub it in til its gone or spread a thin layer on skin like kaya toast?
Sorry for the many questions cos this issue of her has been lingering for quite some time already so Im always seeking advise on this.

So when she was sick, I shun bian ask the PD abt the dry skin and he told me to use Hazeline cream... Hmmm but yours sounds more serious ... got peeling and redness ah. Why not bring her to the doc? I remember PD saying can prescribe cream but since hazelinecream is cheaper, try that first. If does not work, he will prescribe cream. Coz if peeling and redness, possibility of infection?

i am back from KKH! baby took all 3, 6-in-1, rota and pneumococcal. The lady PD was good, very patient, answered all my questions, and gentle on my boy.. the whole consultation lasted 45min!

Her redness comes and goes.. its appears when she's angry or crying or when she uses her mittens to push and "box" her face. But when she's calm and sleeping, the redness goes. As for peeling, only appeared yesterday. So far only her chin area. It looks just like adults having dry skin - flaky skin.
I did brought her to PD 2 weeks ago and he said its baby acne. Said its normal for babies to have and it will come and go. Will take some time to disappear. He gave me this Mustela cream but each time I put for Dani, the redness seems to look even more flared up thou it went away shortly but still Im alittle apprehensive to continue usage.

CS, I think you can try the calendula cream. I used Jin Yin Hua to remove the rashes (red dots), but after that baby skin also dry and flaky, i applied calendula over 2 nites (where baby will not rub it off his face), and now his skin is smooth and rashes gone. You must keep applying until the cream is absorbed into the face thoroughly... If you going to Isetan 2mr, I can take some from my existing one to pass to you first? just need a little only....

I did not take up the package as I think it is more expensive loh. Package costs $450 (bf GST) including 2x 6-in-1 (@2 & 6 mth) and 1x 5-in-1 (@4 mth), including PD consultation and paracetamol ($2).
If take up separately, the 6-in-1 costs $80, consultation costs $50.
I did not take the package cos after computation, the total costs for individual dosages seems cheaper, and i can have the flexibility to choose other PD later if i want. Besides, I can claim under CSC so cannot choose package (no idea why package more ex).
The Rota costs $80 and the pneumococcal costs $135. all prices before GST.
Oh, there is a service charge of $20 for disposal of needles etc..

My mum uses pearl powder(zhen zhu fen) to feed Adriena. Its very effective. After 2-3 feeds, her skin will become smooth again. Btw, its 1 feed a day, preferably after shower in the morning.
Ladies, u can give it a try for ur babies. However, its rather expensive...can buy from chinese medicine hall.
