sterilising pumps @ work
I feel more secure washing the oil off the pumps and soak in hot water. then use hot water to rinse off again just before pump to "sterilise".. that is what i do at my mum house when i dun have steriliser, cos last time they also use hot water to "kill" the bacteria mah...

Oh, the orh cheh feeling hor.. think its really due to over pump and over massage loh.. cos i relax a little past 2 days, now not so pain liao.. and supply also back to normal liao.. phew!

tell me about it! Just discovered it lately, whenever I comb my hair... shucksssss a bunch of hair leaving me and run away with the comb. haizz According to an article at babycenter, it's ok and it will go back to normal soon.

Thanks dear. My bb dun wan to latch.. My first one also. For my first girl, although she didn't latch, I kept pumping and I had a lot of supply, hence able to give EBM till 9 months. This time also no latching, kept pumping, but my supply is not much.

The leftover of milk in the parts will mix together with our fresh BM. You can keep monitoring. For me, even I only pump twice a day, I don’t have much time to wash and sterilize. I prefer not to wash, once we wash, have to wash thoroughly. If I wash in a hurry got soap residue, how?

I used Avent manual pump for #1. for #2, since it's been so long, i had to throw away my avent pump. So I bought Medela manual pump. It's pretty ok, and the yield is about 50-60 ml per session (during 1st month). So I thought hmmm maybe if use avent can yield more. so I kiasu bought a new avent pump. Well it indeed gave me more, like 70ml per session.. but then my milk ss decreased drastically. So I guess it's not the pump, but my ss got problem. Haven't tried electric one though. Aiya I doubt if use electric one my ss will be up.. hiks dun want to waste money when your ss is down to 20 ml for whole day.

Mummies going for NE gathering/bishan gathering - I have loose pieces of pigeon breast pads (indiv wrapped) - I think still got 10 pieces - I can pass to anyone who wants them. Just pm me ok.

i had it up my neck for so long and i finally couldn't take it and cried when i spoke to hubby over the phone...

knowing that my #1 & me are sick, my mil taking the chance that i'm in and she went out bcos for the past few days she very shiok dun even help with the kids, just leave everything to me. then just now she told maid dun need to cook and she packet food for me...wa liao she packet the rice with the dishes all dry dry and hard one...me and my daughter how to eat this kind of thing when we are sick?! i'm really very tired of living with her and dunno how long more can i "ren"...

sorry for the long complain...but i'm feeling so vexed about it. hubby must think it's a small matter but i really feel terrible inside. and to add...just now Lucien was already very sleepy, she just put him lie on the bed without evenbother to put him into his sleep position and just left...bcos i was there to do it anyway...really wants to knock my head against the wall!

I always thought your MIL was quite good one... anyway, tell your maid you are not feeling well so cook porridge regardless what your MIL say, you just want porridge... then tell your MIL that you need to Pop a pill and causes you drowsy, ask her to help out! if not, ask hubby to take leave... try to sleep when your kids sleep... get more rest and drink more water K?

Aww I drank fenugreek 3 capsules 3 times a day also no use. haizzz Hated taking it since the capsule is sooo big.

can try what LC taught me last time my nnp was bleedg... soak them in warm salt water to heal and sterilise. Quite amazing, that time, within one day heal already. Use the medela milk collection shells to soak lor, then u dun hafta bend over a bowl!

The BP is going on now if any of you mommies are interested.

I'm still taking Fenugreek, 2 pills 3x a day but i only get less than 20ml per pump every 4 hours. sigh, see so little, i might just give up soon.

I'm a July mummy too but been a passive reader..hehe. Your baby dun latch. I'm exclusively pumping too and I have supply problem too. Trying many ways to increase ss - frequent pumps, fenugreek, goat's rue, papaya soup and even nursing tea but i dun much increase in ss.

And I also very paiseh my milk is the least in my workplace BM fridge

Yar my bb dun latch. whenever I tried to latch her she will cry until not breathing lor. I only have 2 times successful latch during the first month, and she only use nnp as pacifier. after those 2 times, I have been successful. *sobs*

I know! mine also.. lucky not many people in office so kiasu want to see. hahaha.

Went there today to collect her HP and asked her to wait outside while I talked to them ‘about money matters’. Actually about her la. Apparently our package was $299 for agency fees and states that we have to have a maid for 7 months. We are entitled to 2 more changes if we want. If I want to terminate altogether, then I have to ‘upgrade’ to another package, $398, which allows me to terminate within 1 month.

So the $2400 that I paid, minus whatever salary to my helper, minus $398. That is what I will get back if I terminate. So now considering la. But at least I know my options. It will be hard to let go of a clean house and cooked meals and clean dishes though. Hmmm.

No worry, babies will drop their downy hair and then new one will grow. My bb's both side now also a bit botak coz he's dropping hair everyday. Of coz I also got itchy finger sometimes and scratch his cradle cap which contributes to his botak-ness!

Here's a not-so-friendly pic of sebi :p ... he's sleepy everytime we bring him to the pool! by the end of the session, he koon liao. think the water is too warm. Perhaps we will not use the float so often the next few times... hehe. I also got the swim bumwear, the kind that can trap his poo.. will use that next time.

actually we brought him to the jacuzzi, the water there's alot warmer. also, when we switch on the water jets, Sebi will just go with the flow of the water. He doesn't really kick much. He's using a normal suit. I don't really know when i can start him on just his trunks. Perhaps when he's abit older. Have you started bringing Sophie to the pool?

We brought Sebi to a private pool. I didn't use any actual diapers on him altho I saw some swim diapers from Mothercare. The one from bumwear is like this thin plastic material that's supposed to trap his poo. But his poo is quite watery so i dun know how effective it is. The only consolation we have is that we know when he's gonna poo cos then he grunts and makes that wierd red face. Anyways, we're not in the pool that long, just about 10 min or so. Hmm, i wonder why public pools dun allow swim diapers tho.
