Good morning girls!! I no need to work, but "work" at home being with my girl. hahaha.... Maybe later bring my girl to farm. Weather looks good.
How's everyone? My little one is moving daily inside liaoand at quite predictable times too, always at night abt 9+ when I am home and resting or reading. Guess this little fellow enjoys life.

TF, yeah ... scared to put on extra kilos ... but cannot resist sometimes. About mutton, my mom also keep telling me not to have mutton but donno why. Lucky I not mutton lover.

aiyo I also same like u leh! I have got a very short temper and I am so scare that I will just lash out at my MIL. Then thats it.. Like u, I also have absolutely no topics to talk to my MIL. Most of the time we just sat there quietly. Cant connect and still must survive 1 whole mth of "all-smiles".

I 'm a heavy sleeper. That is why I am so worried I might neglect the baby and slept throughout the nite. Then u must have sufficient rest in the daytime lo. I think I will consider to adopt ur method.

I think I will be better iff on my own if my mum cant help. Heng she has agreed to help. But my SIL just gave birth to her 2nd daughter in Nov 07. I am rather worried that my mum will be overwhelmed. She wanted me to move home for confinement so that she can helped my SIL at the same time (she lives with my bro & SIL). I feel like I am imposing on them, but bo bian. I am taking one step at a time now. If really cannot, then see how.

i hired a confinement lady as my mum is working and i decided not to trouble my mil on advises of all my friends who are mothers... hahahaha... even my husband agree that his mum is not ready to help as the expectation is very different.

My mum wun want to move over. Initially, I was hoping tat she would come over to help. But the travelling will really be too taxing for her (though we live a few bus stops away). Moreover, my SIL will oso need help. Cant be too selfish.

Yeah, farm visits are educational and fun and better than watching telly.
The places we go to have changed widely ever since the arrival of kids. We visited the Hay Dairies Farm today.

Can do night feeds one. I am also a heavy sleeper, who sleeps at the drop of a hat. But once you have a baby, mother instinct wull wake you once the baby fuss (no need cry). Good thing for us heavy sleepers is that once we finish feeding the baby, we can go right back to sleep. I have frens who are those cannot fall asleep fast types, they get tired more easily cos by the time they can sleep, it's time for another feed.
Just make sure you sleep whenever the baby sleeps in the day to catch more rest to work in the night.
Think abt the only time you sleep the whole afternoon away without your MIL complaining I guess. kekekke
If you care for baby yourself at night and your mum only care for baby in the day, shouldnt be a prob on coping lah.
Generally babies are quite easy to care for, only milk and sleep and change diapers.

Yah, after I being mum then I realised how wei da my mother had been. And what she had gone thru when I was in my rebelious teens....the kind of worries she had and the fixtures of not knowing how to let me understand the dangers of the world...

I am back from my gynae trip. Ate menthol fruits to make bb active so can scan for gender but baby seems to be lazy or sleeping by the time I went in to see doc. Haha, you gals with mickeys you all see the 'bird' rite? Me and doc saw the two straight legs with 'balls' in the middle. Doc say best confirm the gender during my detail scan on 1st Feb, so still have to wait for more confirmed scan.
I also checked with him about sashimi, he said the talk about sashimi made him thinking of having it tonight. He said we are safe to eat moderately, but do stay away from smoked salmon instead. They just had a medical conference which mentioned smoked salmon is harmful for pregnant ladies and their babies.

Try to sleep on your left side cos it's better for bb and yourself. I usu try to do that but will end up on my back after a while. Maybe you try hugging a pillow between your legs when you are on your side? It's supposed to be more comfortable. For me, it's more of when I wake up to use the toilet, after that will toss and turn for about an hr before I can get back to sleep.
Let's see if any other girls have any suggestions.

Congrats on mickey.
Gynae hasn't 100% confirmed mine's a mickey yet but during the last scan, we did see the "stick" from the side view and the "balls" from another angle. Noted about the smoked salmon, thanks.

is a Sunday but a tired one. Yesterday bring my girl to JB for some CNY shopping. It was so crowded but luckily there's no jam at custom when we bak.
And today morning i felt my leg bit cramp, maybe due to too much walking.

BB will move away or even kick us if they feel uncomfortable. Dont worry. There's once i sleep on my side and i felt a sudden pain on my tummy, so i assume my bb kick me as i might had squeeze the bb.

Bought 2 tops and 1 bottom from Maternity House. Checked out this place called Egg and was very "impressed" with the price tags. Hehe. A simple top was like $109. Hmm.

i am still not used to sleeping on the left side.. prefer the right side and on the back. Will usually start off with the left side, and ended up something else!
Completed my detailed scan on Sat. Everything looks good except placenta a bit low. Confirm MINNIE. Can start buying pretty dresses liao!

Just had an arguement with my hb, he insists on his mum doing my confinement and I insist on a CL. I told him even if I am not getting a CL, I will get my mum to help. How am I going to tell him that all these is becos I want to avoid a face-to-face arguement with my MIL (just in case). :-(

Sleeping: this morning, whn i woke up, found myself on left. Then went toilet, can see a bump on the left pelvic, maybe baby slide towards the corner whn i sleep...keke
Star, ya, i was in dilemma like u too. Though i make up my mind that my mum will do confinement wif me, but whenever i visit my in-law side, my MIL will kp suggesting us to do it at their place. Sigh... more so on she feels uncomfortable tat my hubby will stay wif me at my niang jia (conservative). Anyway, i've stand by thousand n 1 reason why i wnt confinement at mum hse n my hubby supports.

Today i went Beauty World Plaza (Bukit Timah) n came across a shop, Carrano Garment & Trading Co, tat sell Maternity wear. I bgt a top for $20 and bottom pants for $30. They have branches at Bencoolen, Bendemeer Mall, AMK and Toa Payoh. The Toa Payoh one is at blk 185, is that the same shop that most of u refer to for the TPY one?

Morning ladies,
My MS came bak this morning after 'missing' for about 2 weeks. It was so terrible that i vomitted out bubbles and 'greenish' liquid. Taste is terrible. Not sure why 'it' suddenly came bak. Sigh.....
Confinement dilemma. During my 1st kid, i firmly told my hubby that my confinement will be done by my mom as she know my taste well and most importantly she can handle my temper. hehe...
But then finally my confinement was done by MIL as my mom last minute need some operation. Though the confinement period went smooth but i feel there's still some unhappiness(myself). Coz no matter what we cant argue with our MIL but with own mom we reasoning with them. So, how unhappy i am, i had to keep it to myself. No matter how good is your MIL, i'm sure there's still conflict in certain matter as we are brought up under diff background.

The momengt I fall asleep, I start "rolling" around, so I always wake up with a different pattern in the morning. I dun have trouble falling asleep, but occupied by weird dreams. Last night alone, I think I dreamt at least 4 different dreams. Make me so tired tis morning.
I dun think we will hurt our bb when we sleep. They are well protected by the fluid in our tummy, happily swimming around, hehe.

My hb's blood test result will be out today. Supposed to see doc in the evening for scan to make sure that bb is alright after the amnio test. Kan cheong. ;p

I also felt like taking MC today.. been coughing badly and having bad flu and sneezing.. cough till whole stomach aching now with lotsa green phlegm, confirm it's the cordyceps, i take already next day green phlegm all come out, too bu and heaty for me.. wonder how the little one is taking it inside....
Whole body aching too, coz duno which position to sleep... i sleep on side but end up im still sleeping on half of my tummy, baby should be ok hor?
mogudog.. i went perfect mum on sat, didnt see the bras promotion leh... grrr, silly sales gal never tell me...
