Frisocream is a rice based cereal. From milk powder brand " Friso". Formula milk is already added. just add water. From 4 mths onwards. Oh, my boy loved that compared to Bellamy's organic rice cereal. Smell good as well.

My girl is on milk strike this week too. Just as when I thought she is back to her normal drinking, she is back to making mummy fustrated again! ha ha!

My girl will be 6 mths old soon. Which brand of plain rice cereal is good ah?
 
borders 3 for price of 2 end today. went but did not get the EC books, they only have a few. bought other bb books instead.. the baby section a bit like war zone and they parents thought they are at library.. throw the books all over the floor.. next time if any mummies want to get any books remember to clean it after reach home.

maro- if u decide to get any more EC books get the contract from sherin cos don think any mummies want to passs the books to baby if the books lay on the floor and wonder any one step on them. (ps- cos my boy really enjoy kissing and licking the books that's why i v particular)

yeah, intend to buy more EC books.. haha.. so far dare not let my boy touch the books as anything that lay on his hands wil be into his mouth.. :p
 
serene123 and goodbb: i've posted on organising the GUG trial class few months ago i think.. Quite a few mummies here are interested and therefore i'll be organising a trial class somewhere in Dec. Was told to call up GUG 1 week in advance to book the class. =D

re 4-day waiting rule

My understanding is that when u intro a new food on day 1, don't intro any other new food for the next X days. Some practise 7 day waiting rule, some as short as 3 days. This is because you want to see whether baby has any reaction to the new food and isolate the cause. You can continue to feed the same food within the waiting period, or feed other food that has already been introduced. Some allergy may take days before it shows up, that's why u need to give it a few days to 'test water'.
 
re Frisocream

It is a milk-based cereal (rice or wheat). Rice is for 4 months onwards, wheat for 6 months onwards. Btw, I think it smells really nice compared to the other brands that I've tried. NTUC is selling at $4.90 at some branches now.

Went for Gym Music Trial today at Harbour Front. Was interesting for baby but we felt it would be more beneficial if babies are older (e.g. 8mths and up). At least, they're more mobile and can participate in the activities.

any mummies have babies who love to scream? my girl recently seemed to have discovered her vocals, she loves to scream when happy, bored, excited etc.. she'll scream and then enjoy the 'effect' of her vocals and our reaction.. any babies like mine?

recently she can't sleep well at night, will wake up crying and very difficult to settle her again. tried a couple of times just applying the teething gel and then she'll fall back asleep very quickly, if not need to carry/rock/sing and she'll still very very upset. gum irritation??

My son doesn't scream unless he's truly unhappy and in protest mode. He does shriek when he's happy and excited though.

If the teething gel works on her, then I'd guess that it is gum irritation and possible teething. How long has she been this way?
My son's 3rd tooth seems to be coming out and I just bought Dentinox teething gel for him. Is that what you're using? We haven't used it yet, plan to do so today.

For my son, the teething pain comes in waves. He'll be calm one minute and screaming his lungs out the next till he's shaking and gasping for air. It doesn't sound like your daughter is that way for now at least, I hope you do not need to experience what I go through.
 
diva, mine's medijel, given by PD.. my girl has been like this for about 2 weeks now, but the last few days has been the worst so far.

my girl will cry when she's really unhappy or in protest mode. otherwise, she's happily screaming away..

mummies using FM/cereal with FM. do we need to call the companies to get reassurance their products are safe? just looked at my tin of frisocreme, it does not state where it's manufactured..

My boy same same, he no longer cries, he screams especially at night. Thought he is teething but checked by PD last sat, negative.. haiz, not sure why also..

A friend recommended Dentinox to me and that was all I could find at the pharmacy, so I hope it works well.

My son has been on Nan1HA and it's manufactured in Switzerland. He's been drinking and growing very well so I've no complaints.

If Frisocream doesn't state where it's manufactured, then call to find out. I highly doubt it's made in China, but they should be able to give you this info.

april girls are screamers? heehee..

my girl has this new pattern. dunno how she does it, like blowing some brass instrument where the lips buzz and the saliva splatters out in between the lips and go everywhere! i think she finds it quite amusing, or maybe she finds my reaction quite amusing (when i get saliva on my face!)..

my ger has the exact patterns like yours. she is like sucking or pursing her lips and then blow lotsa of saliva out. she enjoys doing that and i've to follow up with wiping her and myself clean

Each class consists of 10 mummies and babies. Will post again for interested mummies when date is nearer, around beginning of Nov. =)

same here my bb girl also got lots of patterns. like to play with her lips and saliva. now adays she loves screaming the top of her voice. very high pitch. she like to scream and shout during milk time. but luckily after all her drama acts she will guai guai drink her milk.

Usually it means he's hungry or that his gums are irritated since he's teething again.

Maddy's Mum,
An Endoscopy is a more general term used to describe looking inside one's body using a tube that is inserted into the mouth.
A Colonoscopy is a process by which a tube is inserted into one's anus to look specifically at the colon.

My MIL had a colonoscopy done in the US so I'm not sure about specialists and charges in SG. A Gastrointestinal specialist would be who you'd need to see I believe.

I read the article but I don't seem to find any mention of Nestle Nan recalls.
My son is on Nan so I'm getting a little concerned here, but since both Malaysia's Health Ministry and AVA have stepped in, I'd like to believe that all Nan on the shelves are safe to consume.
Besides, they aren't made in China so I think we're in the clear.

A question about bumper playmats.

Mummies with Parklon Yellow Bear: Do you find the color too bright? Is it difficult to 'find' toys on the mat? Especially lego or toys with small parts, for instance?
I like it but am worried it'll become an eyesore over time

I kinda like it but want to know if it's too pale/boring.
Everything looks nice in pictures.. it may look different on a bigger scale.
