hi Swirl,

I feed my boy by spoon, since about 5 mths plus. I make the rice cereal thick. I believe some mummies here have even intro porridge + other fruits puree. I hav just started trying out, and running out of ideas! heehee.

It depends on whether your baby ready for solids. My boy will gulp every spoonful down, except when the food has a raw taste, eg fruits not that ripe. My colleague's baby is a Mar baby but still can't swallow properly, so it really depends.

Mummies here can share your experience?

Hello mummies,

I have MIA-ed for a very long time. Hardly have time to come in after going back to work. Miss talking to all of you... hehe... work has been hectic.

Baby just turned 6 months last week and we introduced the Heinz Baby rice cereal to her last weekend. For the first time, we diluted the cereal to very watery using breastmilk and she only finished half of it. However, that night, baby cried very loudly when sleeping halfway. The next day, we fed her the same cereal but made it thicker. She finished the portion but the same thing happened. She woke up crying very loudly when she was sleeping that night. We were worried so we stopped the cereals for the past 2 days and no more of such a problem. Anyone of you gals faced such a problem when introducing your babies with rice cereal? Thinking of bringing her to the PD this weekend to find out what's wrong.
