You can get sliced almonds from any bakeware shops, else supermarkets but slightly more ex. Actually no need to use almond flakes, I'm sure you can replace with either sunflowers/pumpkin seeds. Maybe even toasted sesame seeds ;-)

yes, I bought the phonics set. Comes in set of 12, with 4 series. I only managed to get 3 series.

I agree with lezy, it doesn't matter what oven you use. But most importantly is, if you want to bake often, forget about microwave with oven function. The baking function don't last. I bought a Tecno (42 litres) after my MW oven died on me. Less than $150, cheap and good
