Dang gui is no no for preggie. The amount you drank should be quite minimal rite? As like you cant be drinking the WHOLE pot. Hehe... Juz make sure you dont take it in furture. Dont get too paranoid over it.

Hi all,
Just to check, me having problems sleeping at nite these days esp with the tummy growing bigger the sleeping position especially.. haz. and also due to frequent urination. Really sian. Is this the norm? And also having many interuptive dreams.. dun know men. really disturbing my sleep till I feel dam tired and restless during the day men. Wondering are all this part of preggie and the norm? haz

Try to sleep on your side. I do that every night now. Frequent urination is normal. I got up at least once each night. Dreams is another norm for me now. I have so many weird dreams ever since I got pregnant.

btw, I saw the baby cots at Kaki Bukit yesterday. I think the one u got is the white coloured one from the brand called Tarus right? It's very sweet. =) I found that the one I saw at Tangs is the same as the one at Kaki Bukit, but can't remembered if it's baby kingdom or the hypermart. It's from a brand called Wooden Craft, from Denmark. Don't know how true though =P

About dreams. I have so many werid ones. I have even dreamt that when I went for my scan, the baby was gone. Don't let the dreams worry u too much. Try to take naps during the daytime if u can to catch up on your sleep. =)

No Dang Gui for us. Cos dang gui is used for contracting the uterus after childbirth. That's what I heard from the old folks. So try to stay out of it. Also, heard that we better stay out of herbal soup such as bak kut teh, tutle soup etc as well cos we do not know what kind of herbs goes into them.

Always get up to urinate in early morning (5+, 6+am), then after that, take a long time to go back to sleep. :/ Sometimes, even get stabbing sharp pain below tummy like today, think uterus pressing on bladder. I'm also getting some fluttering and funny kicking like sensation this week. Don't know if it's BB kicking.
Went to Baby Hypermart and Baby Kingdom today. Prefer the service of Baby Kingdom, got people to assist you the moment you walk in. Baby Hypermart is understaffed, only 1 guy serving customers in the cot area. Anyway, because my room is small, most probably getting a small baby cot (not convertible) from Baby Kingdom selling at $229, top up another $20 for safety mattress. They were selling the pooh bedset which some MTBs mentioned but I don't know how much cos I moved to see the prams.
I like the Capella S217 ($183) pram but the salesman said it's only meant up to 2 years old. There's a bigger one selling for $283 that can be up to 3 years old but I think it's a bit bulky. Is it necessary to buy a pram for up to 3 years old? I think 2 MTBs already bought their prams but forgot which Capella model did they buy?

The floor was slippery cos the cleaner didn't display warning sign when he was mopping...& i oso never notice him mopping cos i was looking at my cheese cake!! Luckily bb not hurt but he kicked me twice in my tummy & swimming ard...must be scared by my fall!

I had my detail scan last friday at NUH. It was a long long wait indeed 2.5hrs!! Waiting patiently to see BB but he was not coporating with me! Keep turn and turning can't even measure his length! Makes then sonographer pissed off!!! Luckily everyting is fine! But they did not give me any scan pictures only the report!!!

Did you have ur scan at NUH as well? They only passed me a report saying everything is fine that all!!! No x-ray or wad, sound weird though!!! Maybe i should call up to check with them for the X-ray scans!

Anyway the service at NUH wasn't good. The sonographer didn't explain anything to me during the scan i have to ask her oh so is the head, leg etc....

QQ, I same as you!! This morning I woke up, I felt that my belly button area was painful but for a short while (like 1 min) then it went away. I was a bit scared but coz it went away I ignored it as I read some abdominal pain is common as our stomach is expanding?
then when I carried my laptop from my house to house downstairs, I also felt a little bit cramp.
Anyway, all MTBs out there, can you tell me what is the uterus? Placenta is the thg that supplies all the food and nutrients to our baby right? Then what is uterus? Coz i also read that as our baby grows, our uterus will slowly move up to our belly button and the navel will "pop" out?

Went for my detailed scan last fri too.
The gynae Dr Tony Tan who did the scan for me was very good. He explained in detail every scan/part that he did as he scanned me. He even explained the flow of the blood in and out of the heart.
We took the report on the spot and went to see our gynae Dr Lee in 5mins time. She did the explanation again to us.
The best part of the scan is that my gal's legs were opened wide the moment Dr Tan placed the scan on my tummy.
So, its confirmed that we are having a baby gal...
Finally can start shopping..hehe
