Is there any particular reason why u all choose cruise trip rather than land vacation? For the kids? or u all enjoy going on a cruise? For me, i went on a 2D1N cruise before during pak tor days but i don't find it fun cos i don't like being confine in the ship...i want to be able to walk (look ard scenery), shop & eat or chill out etc.

I think some mummies here went Club Med right? I wonder if it's a kids friendly place? How about the prices? Care to share..TIA

Rylee might not be 180cm lah...maybe around 170cm?? Good height to become model leh. If you're worried then ask her to avoid exercises like basketball, skipping rope, etc in her teens...hahaha

I remembered when we went for cruise long long time ago, facilities like retaurants, etc were still open if the cruise only dock at the destination for a few hours. However, if the cruise dock for like 5-6 hours kind, they sort of force everyone to go onshore by closing the restaurants. No food so no choice gotta find makan onshore lor.
 
Krystle, so fast miss your home already? In fact I’m opposite leh, I miss my parent’s home :p I’ll be very glad to have confinement at my parent’s house wor keke. Maybe for my future second confinement I’m thinking to deliver in sg but doing confinement in KL, dunno workable or not.

Pauline, actually I like hotel stay because of the buffet breakfast :p sure Raeanne will enjoy a lot too!!

Steph, oh I watched the rescue stall on tv too!!! Yea the curry noodle becomes tasty yea! You should try and tell whether it’s really tasty after the chef taught them the secret recipe hehe.

My girl is 3 weeks old today. She is doing great. BUT the Gorgor is not :-( Think he gets more and more jealous of his little sister, cos his meimei can get more attention from me. Each time BF has to take at least 30min, then everytime she cries, must go and attend her. I really miss the time when I can spend all my time on my boy, feel so bad at times, esp when I lost my temper and scold him a bit (but poor boy did nothing very wrong, just mummy getting impatient). Haizzz..... I have changed my plan, will stop at 2 (hubby said must be very careful not to have accident anymore)! Honestly, if I can turn back the time, I would definitely wait for my #1 to grow older before having #2. But well, I don't have the time machine, so can only look forward..... hope my boy will get over the jealousy soon (though he is perfectly ok with Meimei when he is not fighting for my attention) and be my good boy again. Deep down my heart (don't dare to tell my hubby), I think I still love my boy more than my girl, a bit bias, but couldn't help :p

I'm eyeing club med too. but Bintan la. the 50% off 2nd Adult have to stay 4D3N one hor. I called Misa Travel and they quoted me $1700 for 2A and 2C. Not cheap wor...

So I think I will go early Nov which is $1408 for 2A2C. Hope raining season dun kick in so early !!

Had a lunch wif a male ex-coll at a thai restaurant. Total bill is $38. He wanted to use cc to pay but they only accept CASH ! so I pay lor.. then he only have $9 with him. so I dun care, I took all his monies with me ! he still owe me $10 ! hmph ! muahhahaha

Placed Javin in hald day playgroup for 3 days last week and on the 4th day he is down with flu! Till today haven recover and cough bug is starting to attack him liao. Seen PD 2 times still haven recover!! Haiz, flu mucous started to become sticky. He seems to be coughing badly at nite dunno is it due to the air con. But w/o air con he is so sweaty and start to cry cos irritated by the heat rash around his back and neck.... Haiz....

wahhh all your hubbies so TALL!! I think mine is shortest at 166cm niah:p I hope my boys can be taller than me & hb...at least 1.7m else next time diff to find galfrd.
 
Kam, oh, I’m really very curious to know why you have more love for your boy than ur gal leh. Maybe is really like what ppl say, son and mum in the past was a pair of lovers. Anyway HR is really very guai, no wonder you saying him so much. If I scold my son he sure cry one, don’t think HR will cry?


Jacelyn, pat pat, try to make “zhi3 ke4 tang1” for your boy which you can get from medical hall. It really helps.

You can on the air con but not whole nite. after 1-2hours switch to aircon fan not too cold in this way.

Reason for going to cruise is that it will be my first cruise trip! Hahaha.. Very "suah gu" right? Never been on a cruise. Always fly to other countries for holidays and never thought of cruise.

Sort of miss my home lah. Coz my stuff are all here (VCDs, DVDs to watch also). At mum's place also ok too, where there is always food for me to eat and I don't have to go and buy. Also can shop @ JP coz walking distance only. Only bad thing is that if I do confinement there, I won't get to see my girl and hubby everyday. So our plan is that my girl will remain under the care of MIL and hubby got to work everyday so cannot afford to stay with me. My mum cannot handle 3 kids at the same time too (my 4yr old nephew + 19mths girl + newborn baby boy)... 2 is still ok...

Can understand how you feel... I am sort of anticipating the same issue will happen to me. Coz now my girl also super sticky and I also enjoyed having her to clink onto me and throwing her affections on me. I don't know when DiDi comes, who I will love more... I am also scared of losing my girl's affection too... But no choice... Never thought I will love my girl that much. Can't imagine when I was preggie with her, I was crying like mad when found out she is not a boy (I want a boy then)... Now, I felt so happy to have her as my daughter.

yr ex-coll is he married? cos i find man or married man carry very little or no $ with them in their wallet leh! My boss is like that loh & another male coll (not married mid 20s) also likdat. Sometimes lunch need to borrow $10bucks from us female colls. My female coll said her hubby's monthly salary will be kept/controlled by her...that means she will give monthly allowance to her hubby & when her hb need to buy something, he'll ask her for $...do u all have such habit? For me, i don't.

if i can turn back the time, I would also wait for my #1 to grow older (like 3/4YO) before having #2. But now also not bad la...maybe Z not very sticky to me so i don't feel so stress. In fact, i felt closer to DiDi...maybe cos i bf longer & took care of him all by myself during my 3 mths ML bah.

Don't know why I love my boy more. Maybe he is our first kid, and he is such a good boy. I also love the affections he has on me. Funny hor, I BF my girl but not my boy, but I don't feel BF helps me to have those extra bonding with my girl leh. Anyway, things might change, and I always remind myself to stay positive!!!

Talking about BF, I don't enjoy it very much, feel like more of a job that I have to fulfill :p Maybe I myself was a formula-fed baby, and my son made me very convinced that kid can grow very well on FM. But I am glad I am able to BF now and will do it as long as I can.

not say easier to control/managed but at least when u talk & explained to them, they are more independent & can communicate better. They can express their feelings better too. It's also personal preference/choice & other factors like age of the parents (for women abv 35 high risk pregnancy etc), financially (dual or single income+maid+housing/car loan etc), logistics arrangement (nanny/childcare) etc. Many told me that kids are blessing to us so if your #2 really come earlier than expected/planned, i'm sure you'll managed de. Yes, I agree with Steph. There isn't a perfect timing to have #2, actually, cos too many factors to be considered, if you really want to plan. But if just talking about the kids's age gap regardless of other factors, I would think 3 year would be a good gap, in my opinion, cos by then he can understand us, and he can also express his feeling to us.
 
Kam, I share the same sentiment as u. I don’t enjoy expressing, but I bf for the sake of my boy. Maybe I only enjoy the moment he latches on, other than that, it’s really like a duty for me to express hehe.

Well, I love my son but don’t think as much as what you have for HR, maybe because my son is not an easy bb, and I don’t have much energy to love him so passionately as he tires me out everyday :p And also whenever I hug him he doesn’t show affection for me and wanna run off to check out other things. But when I’m off his site he will cry and look for me. So contradicting one lor. Everynight after he asleep , that’s the only time I can love and caress him with a big kiss on his cheek or forehead, then I fall asleep immediately liao within 5 second.

Steph/Kam, I still don’t have much courage to try wor. I scared one day if I really have #2 I cant manage and got to send him back to KL, which I really don’t want. Ok la, maybe I wil wait till he is 3/4 years old then.

in my first 2 months, i like bf cos it helps me to lose weight fast and it's convenient as i just need to latch at night while i can still catch some sleep when bb's drinking.
the bonding only starts after 2 months when bb is more responsive.
nowadays, i love to see her expressions when she sees me at night and asking for milk.

so, you are not alone when not feeling the bonding now as your bb is only 3 weeks.

actually i also love my #1 more than #2...tho i love #2 too...if you know what i mean...

like kam says...#1 is already at a age when they can shower us with love....
#2 needs lotsa attention and sometimes when you are tired...just no energy lor...and just wish that he can go play on his own and not like koala bear.

my #1 is not as easy as #2....so think does not matter whether the baby is easy or difficult

Back from our hotel stay, only managed to go to Underwater world and Dolphin lagoon. RaeAnne didn't enjoy the sights much cos she missed her afternoon nap (slept in the car when we were reaching sentosa but woke up once we checked into hotel room. :p) She enjoyed the hotel room with the full length wall mirror and bubble bath at the hotel room though. haha.

Tongtong, didn't managed to have buffet breakfast cos hubby and I saw the spread and decided $28++ ie. $65.90 is not worth paying. Hardly any hot food except porridge, scrambled egg, indian dhal and hashbrown/bacon. :p End up we went over to Vivo and had brunch at Marche. Only $25+ for 2 pax.

Thought married men carries more cash, my hubby has to carry more cash cos we always go NTUC and they only accept cash or NETS. Unless NTUC own credit card but must be union member. :p

i was thinking about your post re: more "love" for HR. I think HR oredi 1.5yrs old and he is more expressive (as compared to meimei), so you can get more out from him. naturally will feel that you sayang gorgor more. but maybe after meimei started to grow up liao, become more expressive, can tok, walk, sing, ask why why why then you would love her equally as well...
we adults tend to enjoy human interaction/feedback. of coz HR has more feedback to you, than meimei la...

but there is no right or wrong in loving a child less or more. didnt some1 posted last time saying we all should love each child differently?

I am looking for a cheapo pram but steady lah. Budget not more than 70. You guys have any lobang ah? Cos I saw some at Bugis and Taka which sold out fast.. Sian.. Reason why I wana get is cos my maid and mil says my Elias naps fast in there at home more then patting on bed. And I only have one Capella pram which is my only one and only going out one. And cos of that I made my maid clean the pram everytime we go out and she alwyas forrgets which mades me dam sian.On top of that imgaine when playing out never change clothes when outside after walking around then if she forgets to clean.. ELias already bathed and if she makes hi nap there he would dirty again right?? And I feel this is very unhygenic if she always forgets and imganine pram outside and home used same thing.

Sian! Saw toyrs want not comfy one as cloth type more for travelling kind. I am looking for a more steady one but dont want pay more than 70 as I've seen b4 those cheaper brands not cloth kind but more steady which sold out very fast. Can someone advise me where can I get something like that?

Prefer pram cos my elias loves sitting there when maid do housework and I am not awake yet but of cos we close moinitoring lah and he naps very fast there too. YA

Also, Toothpaste? I am still using First Toothpaste.. But dont see, to find it anywhere now. Whats the alternative? WE still rinse his teeth with cloth after brushing and he always bite us.. How to handle this ah? Can dont rinse ah? Cos he cant gargle at this age?
 


Fern, it's good idea to get a pram just to be placed at home so it's clean. but i dunno where can get cheapo pram leh, sorry. mine doesnt like burshing too, and using cloth to brush his teeth cant clean the veggies stuck within his teeth.
