(2008/01) Jan 2008 MTBs

JanBB,
Can I ask if you stay at the new ward 6 in Gleneagles? How is it? Got free internet access there? I am thinking of requesting for Ward 6....

wow, krystle..tat's very good. is it a local coy? wat industry?

mummies,
my friend's coy is looking for a AR & treasury accounting staff. MNC in the west area. anyone interested?

Krystle, why don’t ur com convert u to perm? It’s that you are so capable that your com wanted to recontract u lei. You are IT expert lor? Hehe. How I wish I can go to MNC too? hehe

Tongtong,
I am not IT expert lah. Just happens that I landed the job in IT industry. In fact, the coy employed me for my Jap proficiency (whole coy only got 3 Jap speakers). Besides doing my job, I also helped other depts to do ad-hoc translation etc.. So maybe that's why they re-contract me bah...
I also hope can convert.. But here is the unfair policy in this coy. If graduates from local uni, they employed them straight away as perms. For foreign uni graduates like me, they employed as contract, always say will try to fight for conversion when got headcount. Apparently with current economic situation, HQ freezed headcount so no chance to convert loh...
sad.gif
I still got colleague who worked 5 years and still contract... So very low chance..
I agreed that MNC is better than local coy. If you yum yum, go and try MNC lah! I think I won't go back local coy liao.

Luca,
Sure, np.
happy.gif
Can you PM me with your email? Then when I organized next round of spree, I will send you email to notify. Thanks!

Krystle, I just worked for this current com since nov. don’t think can do a switch so fast. Plus I got to go back on the dot one, do you think MNC ok with employees going back on the dot?

jess, zao!

Kam,
Yah lor, nowadays no longer sitting in front of PC all day long so cannot come in to look see or post so often. Now only come in once or twice a day when my boy is napping and after he sleeps at night...interesting topic also no point posting liao cos everybody is gone...hee hee.

Krystle,
Wow..u are a jap sepaker!!! Must kow tow to you liao.

No problem, by the time u restart BP..sure got things to replenish.

Should ask this one last time - anyone interested to meet up this Friday???

If no respond, then I should start planning the day for my boy..... maybe go to library.

Morning mummies.

Kam: If I was in sing, sure I will meet up with you and Haore. ;-)

This time, my MIL will follow me back to singapore. ;-) So i think it's good thing. ;))

This morning I feel super super tired. Had a bit of headache and my tummy is stretching. Can feel baby is growing and sometimes kicks me inside. Still very anxious to know the gender. I think I will just rush to hospital in next 2 weeks (should be in my 17 weeks) and bluff them in order to see baby gender? ;-) Hahaha. Dun know why here they only see bb gender when reach 20 weeks. Maybe because of the fee is super expensive thats why 20 weeks is more accurate?

tongtong,
MNC values alot on performance.. I think depends on which country of MNC bah.. For US MNC, I think they don't bother if you leave on the dot as long as you perform your job well. If Jap MNC, it does not matter whether you perform your job well. Just have to OT to prove that you "worked". Different cultures. This is what I experienced.

Blackbatz,
Don't need to kowtow lah.. I spent many years to master the language and still learning too. Think Jap is getting common nowadays. But I hope my girl will pick up the language and hope to send her to Japan to study (then I can tag along and be Tai-Tai there.) Hehehehe...

I remembered there is a mummy who stayed in Japan coz hubby working there... Who huh?

Kam,
Ya loh, has not seen Wendy, Mylvera etc posting for long. Then JanBB and Angelsky busy with #2...

blessedbaby, aiyo! i still havent transferred $ to you. everynight busy with kid then forgot to online. i promise to do it tonight!

pixel: go for Clark shoes. I find it really good. I don't mind to spend a bit of money on shoes for my kid(s), coz help them to walk and run better. ;-)

tongtong: take your time. It's ok. I think I have a note form a post office to pick up the items but am still lazy to do that. Once I pick up, will notify you and lyn and Pauline again.
These few days I feel super lazy (after weekend). ;-)

Agree, agree! Thumb up for Clark shoes! My boy walks/runs so well in it, and he likes it very much! Any BP/lubang for Clark or not? Need to buy a bigger pair for my boy soon.

blessedbaby,
My hubby also wears Clarks. Comfy and long-lasting :)

Mandy,
Me not going to Bird Park. Hubby not keen. And I think I should slow down on weekend activities liao...... if #2 will be popped earlier than EDD like my #1, then I only have 2 weeks to go......

Hi,

Chance upon this thread and understand that some of the mummies are looking for Clarks shoe.

I have a brand new and a good conditon 9/10 clarks for sale. My boy also in Jan 2008. Dont know why he dislike Clarks..

Pls pm me if keen. thks.

Hi mummies,

How's everyone doing? I am 5 months plus now with my #2 and the doc still can't confirm my baby's gender! I wanna start buying clothes and stuff for #2 esp when there's sales now. But have to hold on cos if gal, I can't buy so much cos che che already has quite a lot. If boy then I will go all out.. hee.. Anyway, for those interested, Fox Kids and Baby having 50% storewide sales now.

Haven't been posting but have been reading the thread. Just want to share on some topics (rather belated tho I know :p)

Pixie –
You mentioned that your boy is crazy over basket; well my gal is fixated over bags! Paper bag, plastic bag, my handbag, you name it. Any sort of bag and she will carry and walk and walk around with it - auntie style/over shoulder etc... Recently she started to carry those diaper packs with those plastic handles. While carrying the small pack, she will ask me and my hubby to each carry a jumbo pack and walk around with her. Must walk in a line, one behind another some more. Last night we walked and walked around our cramp bedroom and she din want to go to sleep! Sometimes cannot understand what she thinking also.. Haha..

Make up -
I personally am too lazy to put on any but my gal has been observing her grandma putting on make up. She can mimic the action of putting on lipstick, and also pat pat her cheeks and say "compact" for compact powder. When I ask her to make mummy's hair nice nice, she will adjust my fringe away from my face to the side and try to give me a centre parting ?

Beating/scolding babies –
I'm one of those who would prefer not beat my gal. There was this incident where my gal kept waking up crying at night, and my hubby started to beat her legs, asking her to go to sleep. When she could not be pacified, he got angry and started to raise his voice and swear in front of her saying. Yes, he literally sweared. I was so taken aback that I cried on hearing what he said to my gal. So heart pain especially when I see her looking at her daddy with the expression, as tho wondering y her daddy is behaving this way…I was so sad and disappointed with his behaviour and refused to talk to him for a few days. He usually won't do this, but I guess he was really tired that night. After I cooled down, I tried to explain to him that she was just teething and moreover, she is able to express herself properly yet. He never apologized or outwardly admit but I know he knows that he has to hold his anger and be patient. Hiaz.. I hope it won't happen again. Now I think about it I also very scared that it will happen again. The baby may not know what is happening now.. but she sure will as she grows older.

Fussy eating baby
My gal has a problem eating meat leh. She doesn't take them unless I mash them all up and hide it in her porridge. Minced meat in pasta also cannot, she will spit the whole mouth full out. Must be really mashed up then she will take. Chicken, pork, stir-fried, steamed, in soup all she reject. At least she is ok with fish most of the time. I tried to give her more tofu for the protein but it can't really make up what she needs right. Hmm, I have a self-proclaim veggy baby!

Erm, ok that’s all from me for now. Sorry for the long post. Hiaz, very hard for me to participate in the thread at work.

Oh lastly, congrats to Angelsky – your gal is so lovely! and all the best for those waiting in line to pop!

Clarks Shoes
I have a contact for clarks shoes. The last time I enquired, can get 30% off retail price if we manage to order more than 10 pairs. But they are not very organized.. no catalogue/pictures nothing, so if really interested, must go to the dept store to get the model name/number and try the size. Delivery is 3 days upon ordering i think

Kam,
Oh, is Icy... Ya... No posting from her too.

Mummies,
Clark shoes are good? I see, coz the shoes which my girl wears @ MIL's place is very wear and tear. Time to get another pair for me. MIL wants to buy Crocs but hubby threatened to throw away coz Crocs are not safe and too soft. But does Clark sell nice design for girls?

Krystle: We will say NO NO to crocs. Hahha. No fancy of it at all. ;-)) One day I asked my hubby if he is ok for me to buy Crocs for my girl (I myself dont like it, just checking for fun to see how he reacts), he imme gave me a kind of look like what are you saying? ;-)
I myself many times stop at Crocs store to find out the reason why so many people like it. Sorry to say, I cant find any reason for it. I dont know abt safety or anything, but only the design makes me don't like it.
Just to share my view, no offence anyone here. ;-)

Clark has a nice design for girls too. They are very comfy to wear. You can have look at OG or Isetan Orchard. ;-)

Icy did post here few days ago. Saw her posts at Mar 2010 thread. All is well with her too I suppose.

Luca,

But no one is interested to meet up leh. Then, how to arrange a playdate?

blessedbaby/krystle,

Ya, we also say NO to Crocs.

aiyoh, why so many posts from me. How to delete huh??

Just now had lunch with my girl. I am a bad mummy today. ;-( I thought (yes, I thought) I have taken out chicken for her since yesterday night, but then when the time to cook lunch, I found nothing in fridge, everything is in freezer. so end up only cook snow peas for her plus fried rice with eggs. ;-(
Johanna just now ate only the seeds inside snow peas. She opened up everything and pick up the seed to eat. ;-( It's fun to look at her do that too. ;-)

I also will say "No" for Crocs. Cannot understand the reason why they are so popular. Maybe it is comfy or what. But when I saw news that show how Crocs shoes are being sucked into elevators (coz they are too soft). It is scary.

Looks like going to rain soon. So sleepy...

hey mommies,
for those who wanna go for a short get away from SIN island, here's an alternative & gotta call today! I've just booked mine
happy.gif

krystle,
my hubby is anti-Crocs. He said is ex for the kind of material "rubber"? & dangerous "shoes sucked into elevators incident" I am neutral cos i find Crocs for kids very cute. The shoes is really light, many colors/design to choose from & anti-slip...gd for wet weathers maybe that's why so popular.

Luca,

YOU ARE ON, great! But where to meet? We live at different parts of the island leh. I don't mind if you want to come to my house or I can go to other places also. Who else is interested???

CALLING FOR SAHMs - a playdate THIS FRIDAY

Pixie can't cos to celebrate her hubby birthday.
Kitsune can't cos it's her birthday.

Yvonne? Grumpus? Icy? JanBB?

Kam,
My boy has class on fri mornings so a bit tough cos he's usually dead tired after class and will sleep for 3 hrs straight after lunch...haha! Next time ok.

krystle,
i booked deluxe pool view room at $207.50 aft 50%. Note that rates are subjected to hotel season availability cos some wkends seem to be slightly cheaper than wkdays! I have never stay in local hotel except during my wedding nite...*mountain tortise*haha... So, u interested?
