i went my fren rom 2 days ago, and captured some really nice shots. once upload liao, you can take a look. ixus really turns out nice shots if shooting within reasonable range
 


Pixie, ya, such a BIG improvement from my Nikon that I can't resist taking RaeAnne's photos. At least most of the photos can be used. For my nikon s50, the hit rate was only 10-20%, rest of the photos all need to be deleted. :p

Wish I bought the Ixus before I went to the zoo but that time no PC show yet. PC show deal is better so also glad I waited.

wanted to go pc show and sign up for the broadband on mobile dongle thingy from singtel, 50% off; per mth pay only $15.xx, then can work from my mil place if i choose to work from home, can be with xandall at the very least.
after the car accident, my hb and i no mood to go anywhere haha...so never went. wasted!!
 
Pixie, must really go down to PC show to get the deal? I also didn't go to town, only went to Challenger, Tampines1 to get my camera. Even better, no need to squeeze with crowd, pay for Suntec parking and got screen protector and $20 discount.

kitsune, i called up singtel and asked liao. they say the 50% off promo only if you sign up inside pc show. of course dont want to squeeze with the crowd but then no choice.
last time IT fair, wanted to sign up the starhub one, coz after their 50% off, also less than $20 per month. but can sign up outside IT fair. didnt got the chance to do that coz realised it at the last minute, after i called up the hotline.
so i've wasted 2 chances liao hahaha

Yes, totally quit coffee already, oh how I wish I can have a nice cup of coffee NOW!!!!!!!!! During my #1 pregnancy, never craved for coffee. But this #2, I often crave for coffee, it's tuff :-(

u bought the IXUS 110 for $549? I bought the IXUS 100 for $420. my current old ixus 6MP the mode switch is faulty otherwise it's still a gd camera to last.
 
i miss my boy so much that i've resorted to carrying a physical photo album (those very thin, basic kind) of his pictures and flip it whenever i miss him

the last weekend of 3 days with him, i've realised he has hit several milestones. which i didnt get to see for the first time. usually all in my mil place.
when we say "beat beat", he will smack us. haha
when i glare at him, he will scrunch up his face and cry
when his meal came piping hot, he will touch the bowl and go 'hoo, hoo' as though to blow it cold
when i feed him, he will blow onto the spoonful of porridge/soup to cool it before taking the bite.
he likes to take some bits of food out from his mouth and offer to me. he gets real happy when i accept his offer of nibbles.

last sat, i put him to sleep at 3pm, he dozed off at 3.30pm (and so did i), but whenever i opened my eyes at 3.45pm to see him, his eyes were open, right till 4.45pm. in fact, he was accompanying me sleep and watching me sleep coz his eyes were wide open the whole time. he just lie on the bed so still...thats so sweet

since when its your fault? mei yun was the one at fault. if she couldnt take you because of me, she should discuss this with me. thats what my ex pt cleaner did whenever she accepted a new house to clean everytime. they plan their own timing wat.
 
Hehe, pixie I remember very well cos i kenna played out by own PT cleaner so many times (sick lar, hubby's bd lar, cousin going back must buy things, must pray lar) until I asked her is it because she cleaning another house on sunday afternoons? :p

Kam, nice pixs. But you use a DSLR so different league from mine lar. ;) You so good, quit coffee, I don't care one cos my gynae said not more than 2 cups of caffeine a day (ie. coffee, tea or coke) so I never quit. Just that, for no. 1, my taste buds don't like it. For no. 2, I love root beer.

Aiyoh, can understand how you feel..... we went for routine checkup on Sat morning, didn't bring my boy along, only that few hours only, missed him so much, kept thinking what would he be doing at the infant care...... but honestly, on the other hand, kinda glad to have a short break from him :)

My hubby is watching over me..... he is very strict on me taking caffine. But he also quit coffee during my pregnancies so can't complain lor. Coke also my favourite, also can't drink, but when my hubby drinks, I think a sip lor.
 
She deny lor, then she said if I important then she'll come and clean for me on Sun pm lor although she's sick/busy/etc. So, she's still my PT cleaner lar. Other than always being not free, she actually does a good job and she is fast so I close 1 eye lor. ;P
 
hehe, my hubby only nags about my supplements. I hate fish oil in the first place and MS makes it worse. Sometimes, he forgets to remind me until at night then I refuse to take liao cos I told him, night time, my MS is the worst, you still want me to eat. Wait I puke everything out, even worse. :p

i heard that at nite take like a bit no use coz you go to sleep liao, body takes a rest, some systems shut down. so not that well-absorbed?
thats one school of thought; there are many out there who will pooh-poohed this theory.
up to you to believe lar

fish oil some absorbed well if taken with food, so at night if you never take food, then no point take also. so really depends what brand you taking and their instructions for dosage.

i oso take before i go to sleep last time but my sis told me the caveat above so i switched timing in the end

take mug rootbeer lor.. non caffeine. i still taking 1 cup of kopi per day n still drinking happily my carbonated drinks haha

Cannot lah, promise my hubby already. Carboated drink I still drink lah, except coke, but coke is my favourite mah. I drink mostly 100+ now as a "replacement".

sorry for "hogging" ur NRWZD mag for so long, just got the time to start reading last week as the past few weeks was bz lookin after my boys. Btw, i've trouble finding the article abt the single eyelid, but i saw 1 article on 1 side single n 1 side double eyelid, is that d article u talkin abt?
i might need more time to finish reading the mag, pls let me know if u ever want it back earlier, tks!

Actually I find those 3 in 1 coffee and kopi tiam coffee caffeine not so high cos I got gastric, so will get heartburn/gastric pain after drinking coffee. But it's much much worse when I take those starbucks or coffee bean coffee. :p

Pixie, wish I can skip fish oil totally lor. But hubby said if I don't eat then baby no. 2 won't be as smart/alert as cheh cheh so no choice must be fair lor. Should have countered him that it was due to my BF and not the fish oil. Hee. :p

:) I am used to it already, EVERYONE said the same thing! But no leh, didn't really put on that much of weight leh, about 8kg up till now (28 weeks), not that bad right? Yes, gynae say lots of fluid in my waterbag. My #1 also pretty big...... My baby girl already 1.11kg, maybe she will be a bigger baby than Hao Re.

My gynae never prescribed fish oil to me. So I don't have to "suffer". But she did remind me during every visit to take fish at least 3x per week, which I try my best to.

thats good wat, 8kg now, lots of water in tumtum, and bb is heavy. means the weigh never pile onto your body, can slim down faster mah hor...
btw, i see hao re in the fb pics i immediately tell myself he looks very much like a "da xiao hai". like all grown up lidat
 
Guess my gynae prescribed to me cos she asked me if I'm taking fish and I told her not really cos can't stand the smell. Same for milk, so I kenna calcium` supplements as well. Double whammy! :p`

ya lor, esp this past weekend, I felt he has grown sooooooo much!!! I don't call him baby anymore, cos don't feel he is, he is already a big boy lor, so fast! He is really the more mature type.

Pixie, wah how nice and guai is your son! My son sure cant do that, he doesn’t like me to lie down on the bed , must sit up and stay within his sight. And he wont lie down with eyes opening, will sure get up and run around. Sigh, how I wish mine is like yours leh! Recently he doesn’t want to sleep, until 11pm. I got to rock him to make him sleep.. he will cry when I put him into the sarong and cry even louder when I swith off the light. He kept yelling to ask me to on the light and will only stop when I on. why why why!! I was so tired battling with him nowadays. L

try the CIO method lor (cry it out). some mummies tried it and their kids sleeping smoothly after they learnt the hard way - no matter how much crying, you still gotta sleep.

i think my boy 1 off time lah, he where got so good lie down there so guai. maybe he was nuah-ing on the bed

Steph, I saw Ixus 100 but in the end I tested and felt 110 is better cos it has wide screen option, good for those group photos when you need to fit it everybody or nice panoromic scenery shots. ;)
