congrats on ur prince! heehee, so nice, zander gona hav a little bro in few mths time! hw ur pregnancy so faR?

anyone knows if we need to bring our bb for health assessmt at 9 mths or 10 mths?
my girl drank onli 600-700ml milk daily n hardly take porridge, nt sure if anything wrong with her appetite! she juz dun put on weight!!!sighs

u gotto hang around for the answers to your qstns, dun just ask the qstns then MIA again...

1) 1 a day is fine. Egg yolk full of goodness. Some articles even suggest that adults can hv 1 egg a day if they dun hv cholesterol problms.

2) tofu ok too... everything is ok in moderation, i guess. Except drugs, alcohol, cigarettes.

3) i don't think it's "v bad" for baby to bathe @ 8pm. What i think is, as long as the room isn't chilly & the water is warm, why not? Quick bath, wipe dry & put on warm clothes. Works wonders esp on warm nights.

4) i assume this qstn is regarding baby's dinner? Depends on what time baby sleeps right? Some babies i know sleep at midnight, so dinner @ 7.30pm seems quite ok.

Btw.. any of u send baby for dev assessment? Need or not or jus wait for next vaccine - which is 1yr.

Btw, for the bday bash.. ever considered HortPark? think got some function room there right? And then can bring all our babies for a walk... :eek:)Nice place to take pics too!

may i know how do you cook the egg yolk ? boil the whole egg, peel, then feed the yolk ? or mix the egg yolk in porridge ?

Both methods you described are okay. For me, I boiled the whole egg. Then took out the fully cooked egg yolk and mixed with porridge, then gave to baby.

According to the infant care teachers, if this is the first time you introduced egg yolk, try 1/4 first, then monitor baby reaction to the egg yolk. Then increase to 1/2, then 1 whole egg.

Having said this, when I gave baby egg yolk for the first time, I gave him 1 whole egg, and he is okay with it :)
 
Egg white can hold as long as you can, if you find seperating the white and yolk not too much as a hassle. Almost all of the goodness of the egg contains in the yolk, so really doesn't matter if you don't feed the white to baby. Egg white is not to be given to young babies as it may potentially contains the contagious or even deadly Salmonella bacteria.

just brought my boy yez. 9m. wah his head tis time only 3% percentile... scarry
nurse reminded me to try egg yolk too cos MMR during 15m has traces of em, so must introduce slowly and check for egg allergy else can't take the MMR @ 15m

Evening, just bring baby for assessment is it?
Maybe I should too.... my boy now 9 mths and 1 week... but I find he quite slow in developing motor skills.
Now still not standing and even when he tries to kneel and pull himself up also very wobbly. :eek:p

Most of your kids standing or even crusing right?

Know mustn't be paranoid... but a little worried la... coz last time when preg took a lot of medication. :eek:p

both my kids take their assessment as well as vaccinations from the polyclinic cos much cheaper and nearer to my place (one bus stop only) and the assessments are already scheduled for em plus sms reminder a week prior to the appointments. are you seeing a PD? else you may wanna make appt @ your nearest polyclinic before going cos they'll give you an appt and no need to wait as walk in.

however if you are concerned abt the motor skills, they'll prob not like test and check your child leh. you can simply see the questions in the health booklet (mine's pg 10-11) and if all tick den progressing fine. the nurse did a hearing test though using a handhelf machine making high pitched and low pitched sound to test for his response. only satisfactory coshe's so distracted with the outside noises.

hey all mummies! need help! my mil just called me and say my boy is running a slight fever. I have liquid paracetamol at home but how much dosage to give him for a 9mths old baby? the prescription is outdated ley...

Egg yolk, my boy is taking egg yolk too. But I didnt give one egg yolk scare he over eat. Egg white starts only 1 yr old.

I brought him for 9 mths assessment. Now weighing 9 kg. Height and weight are 75% for head is 50%.
 
Where can i bring bb go for the 9m assessment? To my PD/GP?? Juz tell them i wanna do a 9m assessment for bb?? Paisay ah...me blur blur. TIA!

Last weekend, she was a bit cranky due to teething.. but after 2 nights, she is on her sound sleep at night. I am so happy and keep praying... Yippeee

She still has a bit of running nose, how to stop it huh or we just prepare a lot of tissue for it? Normally, how long will it go away if bb is having running nose due to teething?

i bring my bb to Sentosa during last wkend, wanna let him hav a feel of e sand but he dont really like it.. hehehee! u can view his pic inside my facebk. One ting for sure is he loves water.

and if the paracetamol isn't the sealed up type, means the clinic already transferred from large bottle (eg 5litres) into the small bottles for distribution, means the medicine is considered "not fresh" coz has been exposed to air before, means it may not be as effective as it's supposed to be. Best is to discard after 4 months from the date of dispensing.

if u can't find, also nvrmind. i think the duckbill works better with bottles rather than the via cups. at the very most i bring bottles to use with the pump, then transfer to via cups for storage.

think we shouldnt be too anxious. our babies went for assessment test during the vaccine time mah .. if anything unusual, the doc/ PD will inform us.

my #2 doesn't even want to stand. i was worried too. but now i tell myself, be contented that he is sitting now n not crawling/running around, else my hse will be like a mini zoo. 2 monkeys running here n there haha

i'm using duckbill. if u can find &amp; spare 2 flower valves? If cannot then nvrmind coz i try to pump with bottles instd of VIA cups.
